From quote to completion the team were brilliant! They ran 120m of cable to get power to our workshop. When they finished, they checked the pre fitted sockets to find that they didn’t work. It wasn’t their responsibility, but they went and got a part and wouldn’t sign off the job until we were fully up and running! Absolutely outstanding service and we can’t that the team enough!

Third project Oliver has done for us now after a bathroom mirror, Samsung Frame and now a car charger. Wouldn't go anywhere else now for electrical work - to quality and excellent service as always.

Oliver fitted an EV charger to our garage which is separate from the house. This was a non-standard installation, but Oliver managed to overcome the various challenges whilst staying within his quotation. Much better service than using a regional installer proposed by our energy company and the manufacturer of the charger.

Dear Andy I want to take this opportunity to thank you and A&D Electrical for the correction in the EV charger installation and, subsequently, for a flawless installation of the garden electricity supply and lights. I initially contacted you because our electric vehicle (EV) charger stopped working, and it did not appear to be receiving an electrical supply. Upon your visit, you discovered that some wiring was loose, but more importantly, that the EV charger (installed by a rogue electrician) had been unearthed. This means that if there is a fault in the charger or the vehicle, current could flow through a person touching the charger or car, potentially resulting in death. I want to say thank you for potentially saving our lives and for ensuring that the EV charger works from the point of the corrected installation onwards. I would recommend your services to my customers, friends, and family.

I left a message for A&D electrical, who called me back same day, arranging for an engineer Dan to review my electric issues with a couple of pictures, he was able to advise me and in this instance turn down the work as it required UK Power Network to resolve. Dan has been far more helpful and responsive than my energy provider. Thank you

Reasonable quote for the job, quick and efficient. Really friendly guy, respectful of the house, came and removed and replaced a damaged wall socket quickly and cleanly. Will definitely keep them in mind for any other electrical services.

Great workmanship from Andy and Ben at A&D. New external lighting fitted and really pleased with the visual effect. Old kitchen downlighters replaced. We were concerned that there may have been damage to the ceiling due to removal of old lights and brittle plasterboard and sizes of new fittings, but with careful work they did a fantastic job without issue. Nice polite approachable guys who were prompt, kept us informed of what they were doing, made good on all cutting out work and left no mess. We will definitely be using them again for further work and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Update: In 2025, LMBU Electrical fitted an EV charger and an outdoor socket in our house. Again, the service was fantastic, done up to a very high standard and communication was excellent. Thank you, guys! LMBU Electrical did a great job when installing garden lights, as socket and new security cameras. We would definitely recommend them!

Penmilne were extremely professional and efficient when recently updating electrics at my mum's old cottage. We had a problem after the work was done when an old pond pump blew the fuses and they were so responsive and helpful, both in terms of troubleshooting, locating the problem (nothing to do with the work they had done) and fixing it for us. Beverley was especially helpful and responsive. I will be using Penmilne from now on

From the first contact, Chris was considerate and attentive to the needs of a Senior Citizen. He gave good advice on choosing a bathroom heater and replacement light and the need to fit a modern consumer unit with RCD protection. He arranged an early installation date and completed the work tidily and efficiently, correcting an existing fault at no extra charge. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
