I recently had Martin Cook Electrical carry out an EICR and install emergency lighting at our commercial property in Leighton Buzzard. They were really easy to work with—on time, professional, and everything was done to a high standard. The price was fair too. It’s good to know there are local electricians you can count on. If you need fixed wire testing or any electrical work, I’d definitely recommend them.

We have a very old property with interesting electrics. Our insurance company requires an electrical inspection every 5 years. Kenny, from Martin Cook, came on a couple of occasions with his assistant to carry out the inspection. I have no idea how he worked it all out, but he did, and completed the work quietly and efficiently. I was also able to continue to WFH during the inspection despite the power being off at various times. I highly recommend Martin Cook as they were so efficient.

Simon & Matt of Current Electrical are highly competent electrical contractors who were careful to discuss our needs on site before helping us install a new power supply and data cable conduit for a future EV charging point, and to choose and install a consumer unit upgrade at our house in west London. All along we were given options with meaningful comments until such time we had decided to commit. Making significant wiring changes will be with you for a decade or more so it is important to make a good decision up front rather than just go for a cheap option. We had other works going on at the time which saved on excavations and decorating required following the electrical upgrades, and Simon arranged to work with and around the other trades. They also were very considerate laying down floor protection where necessary and cleaning up thoroughly afterwards. This was our first time using Current Electrical, based on a third-party recommendation, and are very satisfied with the service provided and the relationship through the whole process. We will contact them first for any future electrical works.

Simon first came out to replace an extractor fan. He worked quickly and efficiently and left the bathroom spotless. I then asked him to advise me on my outdoor lighting which had been playing up for a long time. He and his team replaced the lanterns with some much better quality ones and separate sensors which they adjusted perfectly so that they only come on when there is movement within the boundaries of my property. I am very happy with the result and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Would use again. Since placing this review I needed a damaged light sensor replaced. Well, I can't believe how quickly it was sorted. The sensor was replaced within 3 hours of my phone call - what amazing customer service!

Simon and the Current UK Electrical team have been everything we could have hoped for from an Electrical Engineer when we converted an out building into an Annexe. Costs - No hidden fees, all as quoted and finished on budget. Speed - They were on site and out before we new it, first and second fix all done in a matter of days. Quality - Simon clearly cares a great deal about the finished article, and that is shown on the high level of finish. This ethos has filtered down to the rest if the team. Marcus arrived punctually at the time he said he would. I had a problem with a dual light switch on the landing where one light wouldn’t work and the other light was staying on even when switched off. Marcus quickly identified a wiring problem and it was all sorted within the hour so I only had to pay a call out charge. Very efficient and knowledgeable - I will definitely be using Marcus again.

What can I say about Technical Electrical Services? I was incredibly impressed with their knowledge and professional service. Been with PTT few times now.. ladies in office are very helpful, happy to spilt the payment fairly before course starts. Did my 2391-52 recently. It was not easy and you need to be clued up and working in trade as well as wanting to learn 18th edition, sam was great with any questions I had. I had some holes in my knowledge, but he helped go over what I needed to learn in more detail, which was a great help. The Whole team were great and I will hopefully be doing my 2357 nvq3 with them very soon... Ross

Called this company today in the need of some help as my elderly father's smoke alarm was sounding and I was stuck at work.
