We had a great experience working with Mel from Your Story Events. We engaged her for our wedding at the Barbican Conservatory in London. We are based in the United States which adds the complexity of a 5 hour time difference, however Mel was accommodating with organizing the right cadence of Zoom calls and being flexible with timing and availability. She was invaluable keeping us on track leading up to the big day, sourcing and chasing suppliers, and interjecting helpful opinions when asked. In particular she had a big influence on the day by helping us find a celebrant from a few curated choices. She thought of many things which would not have occurred to us. She was great in explaining the different options and nuances with each option and providing honest feedback, which allowed us to choose vendors that were more representative of the vision we wanted. The wedding day was actually a breeze and the final few days leading up to it. There may well have been fire-drills in the background, but we never heard of them. In fact, the biggest snafu might have been the length of the wedding dress, but Mel was 100% prepared with safety pins and was able to work her magic to ensure the dress would not catch during the first dance. The whole day was very smooth, which is testament to the amount of planning done by Mel in advance and coordination with different vendors and the venue the day of. We certainly enjoyed the day rather than had to worry about the behind the scenes logistics of the event. We knew that having her plan our wedding was the right choice and trusted her judgment and feedback every step of the way. We would certainly recommend Mel for anyone planning a wedding.

Mel was our on the day co-ordinator for our wedding in August, she was always more than happy to have a call to discuss any issues we had ahead of the day. She also attended our site a few months before the day, to ensure she knew the set-up we were envisaging and to help with any queries our suppliers may have had on the day. As part of our package we had asked Mel to attend the day before, this was a huge relief and helped calm our nerves as we were having a DIY wedding the whole week before the wedding we spent hours setting it all up. By having her help the day before was hugely beneficial and any issues that arose she was able to help solve them quickly and having her expertise to hand was amazing…Along with her emergency kit! Mel was lovely throughout, really approachable and made sure both myself and hubby were okay throughout the day and making sure we had a drink in hand too! If you are planning a DIY wedding yourselves we would highly recommend having a wedding co-ordinator, as this was something we were unsure of however after experiencing it first hand, it meant we could really focus on our guests and enjoy the whole day without worrying about the background running of the day! We are so grateful to Mel for her incredible hard work planning our wedding over the last 18 months, and could not recommend her more highly! We knew we wanted a big marquee wedding at my parents’ home with glamping options for guests and a ceremony at the local church, but otherwise we had no idea what we were doing so we relied on Mel entirely to bring our ideas to life - from vendors to the logistics to the design and timeline of the entire weekend. There are so many stressful elements to planning a wedding (especially one with a big guest list that was not held at a typical wedding venue, such as ours), but we can confidently say we really enjoyed the entire process and that is completely thanks to Mel. Mel was so easy to work with throughout the whole process, with clear communication via email and organising regular check-in calls at our convenience to keep everything on track. She truly went the extra mile(s) to make sure our weekend was a complete success: from staying late and arriving early during set up on the weekend, to even bringing in her husband to help design our wedding stationery! Mel’s calming and enthusiastic presence was such a blessing in the lead up to the weekend itself, and she was there to answer any of our concerns. It rained basically the entire day before and the morning of our wedding day, but Mel stayed calm and positive throughout which really helped calm everyone’s nerves. She managed to organise all the vendors and finer details perfectly, while adjusting for less than ideal weather conditions and navigating through the chaos of my very large family - and so the wedding really turned out perfectly (with gorgeous sunshine!). So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the tent looked, how excellently the wedding seemed to flow, as well as how happily and relaxed the two of us seemed throughout the day - and again that is all thanks to Mel. We had the best weekend of our lives, and we are forever grateful to her for all her hard work and dedication!

Working with Melanie at Your Story Events was an absolute dream! We live in the USA and desperately needed help with planning our wedding in England. She helped us with vendors and every other little and big thing that goes into planning a wedding. From the very beginning, she made the entire process so easy and stress-free. We had the pleasure of Rebecca decorating for our wedding this year. Originally we had just booked kids corner and the garden games but nearing the wedding it was all to much. Last minute I asked Rebecca if she could help us. Nothing was to much for her at all helping us get bits sorted that we hadn't had time to complete yet. We used Rebecca for our wedding yesterday and she was fantastic. Not only is she a lovely person (I felt like a friend was looking after us), nothing was too much trouble and everything looked incredible. We had SO many compliments from our guests about the decor and lawn games (our son couldn’t get enough of them and they kept him entertained throughout the afternoon), communication from start to finish was excellent - even when my indecisive self kept adding things to the list, and a lot of stress was taken out of our day because of her. Your artists were most helpful and performed to our complete satisfaction. They played really well, were pleasant to deal with and the repertoire was excellent. Always smiling and generous with the music, they were a major contribution to the party's success. As you can imagine, both of us were very busy during the event and did not dedicate much time to them. But there was no need to as they did exactly what we expected, and we were both happy to give them complete leeway. I personally regret not thanking them enough, or liaising with them. But parties of this size are a distraction! The timing was adhered to and exceeded, and the passage from their concluding their show and my daughter's DJ-ing most smooth. The party went on well and we ended-up around 3:30 am, when I had to gently and smoothly move all stragglers out! So, full marks to them and yourselves, with honours, for having done as well and above what we thought would be achieved. If anything, I can say that the party was, as expected, quite noisy (from everyone's loud talk) and so, at times, the music was slightly drowned-out by the surrounding noise. But that is no reflection on your group's merits, just a natural consequence of the venue and the type of party that was definitely, without a sound system, destined not to be a live show, but a strolling and fun art rendering.

These guys played at our wedding and were absolutely amazing. Had everyone up on the dancefloor; there were so many compliments from our guests.

We booked Metropolis for our wedding last Sunday and they were AMAZING! They were also an absolute pleasure to work with. Toby met with us before the wedding to discuss the music we wanted and his team absolutely provided it. His team even had the flexibility and talent to deal with a request from me to perform a song with them. I really can't recommend them highly enough - they're great!

We were SO thankful to have Lucie there on our big day. She made everything so seamless and easy from start to finish and really went above and beyond her duties throughout, which we will be forever grateful for. Oh my goodness. Where to start! Daniel and I were recommended Lucy by Chenies Manor House in Bucks. We had grand plans, a lot of excitement, growing ambitions and a sand counter showing us exactly how quickly time was moving on. Our wedding was dry hire, but we had no ambitions for a crafting wedding . Neither my husband or I had the time or the desire to be up making table decorations into the night, every night. For those that do, you have my complete admiration! Dry hire sounds great, until you realise the enormous task ahead of not only selecting and engaging suppliers, but actually responding to what feels like endless emails- quite overwhelming. We set about working with Lucy to find some outstanding suppliers, many of which I have remained in contact with, simply because they became part of our team. The idea of creating a team of suppliers that feels like your own as a bride is truly wonderful. On our day and well before; the trust we had in each individual member was through the roof. It was our privilege to feel on that day, and in the days of the lead up, that we were all in it together. I don’t think many brides get to experience that. Lucy was at the forefront of building and supporting those supplier relationships. Lucy coordinated the comms with the supply team, ensuring they had everything they needed, nothing was over looked. From the arrangements of individual deliveries, to who would be steaming the table cloths EVERYTHING was in hand. The co-ordination of the day was carried out to an expert level. I can honestly say that the day went without a hitch which suggests one of two things: either everything went to plan (which in wedding terms is somewhat unusual) or perhaps not everything did go to plan, but in any event we were none the wiser. That is entirely credit to Lucy and the wider supplier team she coordinated on our behalf. The wedding fever began long before our wedding day. Lucy was there to help start the magic we still feel to this day. If you’re getting married, for heavens sake, get yourself a Lucy. All my love Holli xxx

Lucie was nothing short of a God-send to me for my wedding. She was so responsive, enthusiastic, and lovely to work with. The fact that she was so experienced working with Chenies Manor House meant that she knew exactly how everything worked, which made things easy, particularly for my other vendors, but she also knew how to make our day different to other weddings. Lucie is amazing! We had Lucie as our on the day coordinator for our wedding in June 2024, and she was fab from start to finish. She is such a lovely person, and nothing is ever too much. She was so helpful, and just a joy to have around on our wedding day. In the run up to the wedding, Lucie was so organised and gave some really useful suggestions - particularly on timings, and ideas for various parts of our day. On the day, Lucie worked so hard to make everything run seamlessly, and our day was perfect because of that. I dread to think what she was dealing with behind the scenes whilst trying to keep us all on time and in the right place, but from our perspective everything was perfect and I know she worked so hard to make sure that was the case. From managing our suppliers, to driving my dog down to the church in my Dad's car(!!), and keeping my MC brother running to time, Lucie was beyond great, and our day would not have been the same (or as fantastic) without her. We were so lucky to have Lucie's help on our wedding day, and I can't recommend her enough. xx

Katie is the best!! We can’t recommend Katie more. She did such an amazing job organising our wedding. From start to finish we felt like she had everything under control and helped us to execute our vision perfectly. She has great attention to detail and made sure we didn’t forget any of the little details. It was invaluable having her recommendations for flowers, catering etc. We received so many compliments on the flower arrangements in particular. We had 100% trust in her - which was amazing because it meant we could fully relax and enjoy the day and preparations. Katie was calm, efficient, extremely accommodating and flexible when a few unexpected events occurred in the lead up to the wedding. Firstly, when we had to push the wedding back a year - Katie was able to arrange everything with suppliers so we didn’t loose any, finding suggestions for a new date extremely quickly based on supplier availability. Secondly, when our photographer had to cancel the day before our wedding due to a medical emergency, Katie and our wonderful photographer managed to organise cover at the eleventh hour so we still had photos on the day - and we are so so pleased with how they turned out! If we were planning to get married again we would definitely hire Katie to organise it…(although fingers crossed we won’t need her services!).

We wouldn’t have had a wedding without Katie! We booked Katie for the 6-week wedding coordinator package, mainly because we wanted to secure Katie herself for the day. We needed someone to help us catch anything we may have missed leading up to the wedding and, as we were getting married at home, to ensure that we and our parents could enjoy the day without any stress. About five weeks before the wedding, we had an in-person meeting with Katie to iron out all the details, which immediately put us at ease. The marquee company we had chosen went into administration. Not only were we relying on them for the marquee, but also for the flooring, tables and chairs, lighting, and more – the whole wedding day was suddenly in jeopardy. As you can imagine, everyone involved was mortified, and “stressed” doesn’t even begin to cover it. But to our amazement, Katie remained calm and truly kicked into gear. She sourced everything we originally wanted from individual vendors in no time, showing just how resourceful and determined she is. Thanks to her incredible efforts, our dream wedding was saved, and we ended up having the best day of our lives. On the day itself, Katie orchestrated everything with such grace and precision. She made us feel so relaxed and reassured throughout, handling every detail behind the scenes so we could focus on celebrating with our loved ones.
