A great little place tucked away that we just stumbled upon one evening. It's very small and intimate yet didn't feel crowded. Service was brisk and helpful and the food was fresh and delicious. Although the menu wasn't particularly expansive, what we tried was delicious. Try the chicken katsu curry, it was tip-top.

A combination of excellent service, great food and a lovely atmosphere. It was our first time today and even our toddler remained calm! Will definitely go back and recommend you to give it a try.

First time visiting this little hot spot and it was so worth it! Amazing small sharing dishes, a great place for us foodies. All very fresh and prepared to order, came very quick and we could have ordered more but was the perfect amount for 2. Wonderful service, very polite and informative! Will be coming back for sure! 😍

This has to be one of the best places to eat in Hertford. The food, service and atmosphere are fabulous. Friendly, professional, good value and generous portions. What’s not to like! Oh yes and they do take away! Highly recommended.

My first visit today Mother’s Day, I was with my daughter and granddaughter. It is such a quaint place very well set out with a lovely garden although we ate inside. The service was very good and we we served very quickly although it was starting to get busy, the food was excellent in my opinion ( could have done with some parsnips though 😃) and with drinks a very reasonable price and am looking forward to Father’s Day next, definitely a place to return to.

Good food at reasonable price but very busy on the Sunday afternoon when we went. We were up the corner at the far end of the bar and felt a bit more like a canteen than a pub. Didn't help that it was raining so no one could use the garden (which looked lovely).

A quiet pub with a large garden set in a quiet residential road. Dog friendly & very welcoming. Their food is great! A varied & regularly changing menu with locally sourced fresh produce. Their fish & chips were delicious & their skate wing dish was sensational!! Highly recommended!

I took the family here a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my daughters birthday, making it a party of 5. The restaurant sets up as an Italian/Turkish place with a menu to match. The service was excellent 👌 and although a couple of the party didn't like their choices of food, I actually chose well. The Calamari was one of the best starters that I have tasted anywhere. The spaghetti bolognaise was enhanced by the extra mushrooms that I ordered. For desert, the chocolate profiteroles were very tasty. It is a very busy restaurant as the night moves on, so book early if interested. Car parking is in the multi-storey car park adjacent to the town. It is a pay and display but only up until 20:00 I think. After that, the parking is free, Be mindful of the voluntary service charge. They, like most restaurants, automatically add it to your bill, so if you don't want to pay it, then don't be shy in asking them to stop taking liberties with your money. I would have given them a 5 star review, but for the extra charge that I did not notice until I got home. I do not get tips for doing my job. I get paid a wage. If I want to tip, then I will, as I do, but that choice is for me and my money to make.

Came to Dinnio yesterday to celebrate a birthday, and had a great experience. Food was very good - quality and full of flavour. The staff were kind, friendly and welcoming. We had a great experience being served by Anna, Ada and Sophie, thank you. Highly recommend this restaurant for tasty and flavoursome food, nice ambience and good service.

Where to begin. Although initially empty, me and my family, as tourists, decided to give it a try since the near Pizza Express took too long to take our order (the usual scenario where you ask the waiter for just 5 min to think about what to order and you never see them again) Our expectations were surpassed to say the least. We were offered 2 menus, one contained the whole set of items while the other was more comprehensive and to-the-point, offering a very cheap deal for STARTER + MAIN set just for £15 pp. This is a great deal compared to the not so cheap £28 pp deal at Pizza express for basically the same thing. Don't let this review fool you for it's optimistic take. We were surprised that at 3pm the restaurant did not have any clients, as you may see from pictures in other reviews. The starters were also of greater size that you would expect, so please expect to be full after the main course, so almost no space for dessert. However, the food quality was of high quality. Well seasoned and with great flavours. I believe it would be ideal for the waiter to explain the difference between the two menus so clients can enjoy the desserts available. If that wasn't enough, the owner gave us an on-the-house dessert, which I believe was made of pistachios, as a thank you for dinning. We were already extremely happy with the warm service from the waiters and the food, so this was a unexpected but very satisfying outcome. Congrats to the owner and waiters for outstanding service. I hope this honest review serves well for those who wish to experience and enjoy amazing food at a reasonable price. My first 10/10 review, well done!

I had a truly wonderful first visit! The single dish I tried was beautifully aromatic and incredibly flavorful, a huge credit to the chef's expertise. What truly made the evening, however, was the impeccable service. Our waiter was a perfect blend of wit and attentiveness, making us feel completely at home from arrival to departure. As a coeliac, it's always a concern to eat out, but this establishment made it a truly enjoyable experience. I will absolutely be back!

One of the best places for thai food in the area. Portions are huge and taste is amazing. Lovely atmosphere and the staff is perfect. It gets very busy so maybe book a table or give them a call in advance. Highly recommend.

An excellent place for Thai food! The honey duck was cooked to perfection, lovely tasty beansprouts and my pad kee maow was full of flavour and spice. We were sat in the section where you couldn’t wear your shoes, further adding to the authentic atmosphere. A lovely place and will definitely be revisiting.

Wow! The food here is incredible. This was our second visit and on both visits, we absolutely could not fault anything. The service was fast and staff were friendly and helpful. My partner enjoyed the chicken skewers and the steak whilst as a vegetarian, I’ve found the food from the vegetable section to be perfect. We both thought the patatas bravas were the best we’ve had! We sat downstairs in the bar stools area which we were unsure of but actually ended up preferring to the restaurant upstairs. The atmosphere was brilliant. We can’t wait to return!

Hands down THE best tapas I have ever had! This place was suggested by a work colleague and I’m very grateful to them for doing so. This place should be booked up weeks in advance it really is that good. Amazing service, wood fired ovens, great prices and chefs! I cannot recommend any one single dish as each plate that arrived piping hot to our table was insane good. Please do yourself a favour and go, go, GO! vamos!! Me and my husband just visited Anexo Hertford for the first time. And we were very happy. Book the bar stools opposed to the table in the restaurant if you want an intimate couple experience with dimmed ambiance downstairs. The food was fantastic and so was the service. My only request was that the pulpo 🐙 was more typical español with potatoes and paprika. We can wait to come again we loved all of it especially the food. Gracias

----UPDATE----- Came here again with my mum and we had a lovely time. The staff are all friendly and the food (schnitzel and vegan risotto were delicious!) ‐----------------------- I really like this pub, I have nice memories spending time here with my mum. I came here for lunch today and it was really nice. There is a good selection of vegan items. I had the gnocchi, my partner, the Moving Mountains burger. The gnocchi was a little too oily for me, but that could be down to personal preference, and it didn't stop me from finishing it! I did feel that the mains could have been a little cheaper, and I didn't like that the gnocchi was two prices, but I was charged the higher amount. I would however still return. The staff were lovely and there is a nice selection of beer.

Super setting, very reasonable prices, great food and super people. April 2025 My photography group came here for lunch after exploring Hertford. We had a very warm welcome from the landlady who I remembered from a visit I made two years ago. We were given a table overlooking the canal - a beautiful setting with barges slowly making their way past. We were quickly served our drinks by Heather, who was helpful and charming. Though they didn't have all the drinks we wanted, Heather made excellent alternative suggestions. We all agreed our food was delicious from filled potatoes, ham and eggs to my enormous BBQ ribs and chips. I took half home with me as it was so delicious. The desserts looked good but we were far too full! Super setting, very reasonable prices, great food and super people. Highly recommended.

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant. Perfect for a romantic date or treat. I have eaten so much sushi in my life & in different parts of the world. This is EXCEPTIONAL!!! Immaculately prepared with beautiful presentation. Tastes fresh, original & delicious. I would especially recommend the spicy tuna avocado roll & spicy salmon avocado roll. A lovely selection of crunchy pickles which really enhanced the flavours of the meal. Their tofu katsu curry was really wonderful. A warming filling dish. The tofu is delicately prepared with lovely rice & very tasty curry sauce! I love spinach & the spinach goma (with sesame & miso) was the best spinach I’ve ever eaten. The prices were good for the quality of food. We were very happy after our meal!!!

Nice place with the usual dishes presented well and reasonably priced. The lunch specials are good value, tasty and with decent sized portions.

We came all the way from London for a trip, and this place truly impressed us! The food was absolutely delicious, but what made our experience even better was the amazing service. Bernard must've been the best customer service ive endured in years. The way he articulated himself to my group to make us all feel especially welcome was brillant. The whole restaurant just felt so home-like and I hope to return soon.

The prices are a little higher than expected however it is worth it as it is A lovely restaurant with lovely food. Aydin in particular provided a very attentive service.
