I’ve been to this pub a number of times with my wife and with friends. The service is top notch, the staff are very welcoming, the food is great and the drinks always go down well. It’s nice to see a pub packed on a Friday evening. Can’t recommend enough.

We went for a family wedding this weekend. Everything was super: our room was tastefully furnished, bed v comfy. Staff are welcoming and helpful! Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was all locally sourced, well cooked. A memorable weekend! Thank you to you all! .

We went there twice - on a Friday night and for Sunday roast. Sunday roast is really good portion, brilliant cauliflower cheese. Taste is there even though I wasn’t too impressed with the cooking of the meat (we tried the lamb and the beef) - I would expect a pink beef and a falling apart lamb to say it was exceptional- but it was good! We had crispy pork belly bites for starter - those I can say were exceptional indeed. Very creative. On the regular Friday we visited we tried a lamb we weren’t mad about and the classic ham and hen eggs pub dish. Overall great quality and service, fresh ingredients and creative - not far from being an exceptional place - but definitely the best in the area.

Nice lunchtime meal for two. The table hadn't been cleaned entirely from previous users. Price is at the top end for pub food, but nicely presented & tasted good. Quiet setting, but can get busy lunchtimes, so it is best to book in advance, online/phone.
