My two children have had Kumon maths lessons from the age of 7 and 4 respectively. They are now 15 and 12. Kumon has been a massive part of their success. Not only are they considerably advanced for their age at maths, the confidence it has given them has boosted their performance across all subjects. Enrolling your child in Kumon is an excellent way to create discipline and interest in reading and maths. My child was in a different Kumon center prior to us moving to this location, and we have to say its been a fantastic experience here. Duhita and her team cater the work not only to a childs academic growth but also take into account personal and social development. We are new to the UK. My daughter never learned English. After she joined Kumon she start to say words and now it's been 6month, now she is talking to people with confidence(still need to improve). Even her teacher at her school said she improved so fast. Thanks to Kumon in Guildford, we had very nice experiences with it and all staff are very nice and teacher are so patient. Once again let my daughter go to kumon is very good choice I made.

All three of my children have taken maths, at Kumon in Guildford. We started for various reasons and have ended at different times. My last child has now been doing it for three years now and is two years ahead of where she should be. This was evident in home schooling in lockdown when we were completing year eight maths and she is in year six. Kumon has continued through lockdown with zoom lessons. I could book an individual lesson if stuck and could contact through Whats app and text. Work was easy to exchange with little notes of encouragement. My daughter is determined to finish the program. Ultimately she says she wants to take maths and further maths at A level. Even if this isn't your aim, Kumon will give you a great understanding of maths. Times tables will be known instantly which will help in all aspects of life. The Guildford group is welcoming and when we are allowed to meet again, easy to find. Nicky Gale.

I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again. All-over, I'm so happy with the tuition provider.

With regular progress meetings, and parent portals you can keep track of any areas which need more help, as well as access additional learning for home. Mark has been excellent for our son, helping him study for secondary school exams. He is an excellent tutor who makes studying fun, so much so that our son kept on his weekly sessions after his exams.

David quickly developed a great rapport with our son. He helped him increase his confidence and he was able to get the grade he needed for his GCSE maths.

David has supported both my children individually in maths over many years, my son from yr7-11 and my daughter subsequently from year 4, who is now in year 10. He has been fantastic! My son said David was “Very good at structural revision. Good at teaching step by step and also pushes you to achieve the best you can.” He managed to encourage my son to realise how he could do really well in the higher maths GCSE and in fact he achieved a grade6 which for a dyslexic was fantastic! My daughter says “David is really good at letting you learn the way that suits you rather than forcing you to do maths a particular way”. She’s determined now she has the confidence in herself, to also take the higher paper. As a parent I feel relaxed that David will support my child for long term achievement. They’ve always liked the way he uses the iPad so they can write on the screen and he sets useful homework to practice what they learn each week, if you want that. We are really happy with David’s support.

I was the first child David ever tutored, I cannot express the gratitude I have for this man. Not only did he figure out how my brain worked and tailor our lessons to help me grasps concepts, breaking things down in ways I could understand, he also helped figure out how to motivate me. He came each week with determination, patience and empathy. I would not have become a Leeds university graduate without his tutoring. David is a fantastic maths tutor. He tutored both my children and helped them get the grades they needed for studying their chosen subjects at college.
