Aim Higher has honestly been one of the most helpful teaching experiences that I have ever had. At the start of my first year in 6th form I was struggling with my A level Mathematics, and decided that tuition would be helpful. Initially expecting the typical homework setting tuition experience, I was pleasantly surprised by a structured, and well thought out teaching plan to guide me through the course. Whilst learning at school is great, often it can feel rather impersonal and distant. For me this created difficulty as I personally work much better with a more direct and personal teaching style. AHTS provides a tailored and flexible tuition style and I feel that not only did it greatly help with my academic grades, but also facillitated the development of core skills such as time management, the ability to structure and space out work, and generally grow my ability to work as an independent learner. After a few people recommended us to Kumon we thought we would give it a try. Since our first visit we was impressed. Now 2 months in and one of our children has done better than his own school. Well worth the trial and only one hour a week and homework each day has helped loads. They are extremely friendly staff and whatever they do is amazing work.

My kids are going in Frimley Kumon for English and Maths sessions. I find it really helpful for my kids. The way of teaching is amazing. My kids improved a lot. As a parent, I struggled a lot with their studies but after sending them to Kumon now i can feel the difference. They benefited very well from Kumon’s way of teaching. At the age of three, we made the choice to enroll our son in Kumon for mathematics classes. Initially, I debated whether he was too young for this endeavor. Anjana is an excellent tutor. She is very understanding, patient and easy-going. My son does maths and English at the Kumon Frimley centre and I can happily say that he has massively improved in his maths and English. Not only this but he has also gained confidence and independence from Kumon. The tutors are amazing in terms of what they do, they help children of all ages who may need extra support. Kumon has really helped my children grow and develop.

David quickly developed a great rapport with our son. He helped him increase his confidence and he was able to get the grade he needed for his GCSE maths.

David tutored both my son and daughter who struggled with maths. He adapted his teaching to meet the learning needs of both children, he was patient, explained everything, made the lessons as fun as possible and as a result both passed their GCSE math.

They’ve always liked the way he uses the iPad so they can write on the screen and he sets useful homework to practice what they learn each week, if you want that. We are really happy with David’s support.

I was the first child David ever tutored, I cannot express the gratitude I have for this man. Not only did he figure out how my brain worked and tailor our lessons to help me grasps concepts, breaking things down in ways I could understand, he also helped figure out how to motivate me. Can’t thank Sumit and Aarzoo enough for the help and support they gave my son in preparation for his GCSEs last year, which undoubtedly helped him achieve a whole two grades above his expected grade in his final exams for Maths. My wife and I engaged Janet's Target Tutoring services for our daughter commencing from January 2020.  The primary aim was to prepare her for entrance exams for 3 independent schools to be taken in January 2021 but also to supplement her ongoing Year 5 education as well. My daughter enjoyed the sessions immensely and these have helped her both develop her academic abilities across the board and grow in confidence as a result.  Janet works very well in creating a team environment in her tutoring, as my daughter felt supported throughout her sessions.  We also found Janet to be excellent at communicating throughout the disruption wrought by the pandemic, keeping us updated and also working with children, when she was able to, to the safest possible environment.  Outside of these periods of disruption, Janet was adept at concentrating on key areas given sessions were lost to lockdown and also having a regular dialogue (being very responsive on email) as to the aims and objectives of sessions. My daughter found the expert guidance on entrance exam preparation to be especially valuable, particularly with regards to number codes and English comprehension, which feature very strongly in most entrance exams and can often prove challenging to children   My daughter's ability to solve number code puzzles logically and quickly is truly impressive. In terms of Janet's tutoring, the proof is in the pudding, as they say: my daughter received offers from all 3 schools and commences her secondary education at her first choice school in September 2021.  As you would expect, my family cannot recommend Janet highly enough.
