It’s been about 3 months now with Kumon. My son has been doing the worksheets on his own. Even if he makes mistakes while doing them I let them be so when they are corrected he would get to the results to find out himself what was the error. He is picking up in Maths. Good way to keep the kids engaged on some study activity that will help them in the long run. In person classes every week help him interact and build up his confidence.

My son enjoys going to learn at Kumon the staff are friendly and patient. Homework is set every week which means my son gets plenty of practice with his English and Maths.

Excellent teaching all round, child friendly, supportive service anytime throughout the week. Old Trafford Kumon develop great study habits, independence and confidence in children's learning, aswell as improving their academic abilities of Maths and English. They identify the strengths/weakness of key areas and improve on those, it has been a very great experience overall. Would highly recommend for all parents.

I can’t recommend choice home tutoring enough. Jo is extremely professional, caring and amazing with what she does. She tailors her approach to each child, she genuinely cares about individual experiences and she’s also really fun to be around which makes a huge difference. She is incredibly knowledgeable about what a child needs and who they will work well with. I have nothing but brilliant things to say about choice home tutoring and it will be the best money you can invest in your child!

Our kids started with Kumon at the ages of 4 and 7. We were just coming out of COVID and like most children, their learning was negatively impacted by it. We signed up for Maths and English. In my experience, Kumon has helped them learn the basics and has given them a strong foundation, especially with their times tables. They are now smashing the Times Table Rock Star tasks set by their teachers at school. We also noticed a significant improvement in their reading abilities as they were able to move through their reading books at school very quickly. For me one of the standout features of Kumon is the emphasis on self-discipline and independent learning. This has helped my kids' confidence in tackling challenging tasks at school(feedback we received at parents evening) and at home when doing their homework. I must say that Sharon and the team are dedicated and play a pivotal role in the success of the program. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and also the personalised feedback reports that Sharon sends to us regularly are significant to the overall positive experience. They are just generally lovely and very professional people! I also love how they celebrate their achievements, Sharon always has a box of prizes which encourages and motivates the kids when they move on to the next level. Lastly, as a full-time working parent, I appreciate the flexibility that the Kumon Urmston Centre offers, allowing the kids to attend classes at a pace that suits our family's schedule and multiple extracurricular activities that the kids are involved in. I wholeheartedly would recommend Kumon to parents, it is a valuable investment.

My two kids started at Kumon (doing both English & Maths) about 3 months ago. Sharon has gone above and beyond getting to know both kids individual interests and personalities so that she can engage them in their learning. Whilst the Kumon method is designed to encourage children to work above their age range our reasons for choosing Kumon were to consolidate the basics that were missed during covid and to build our kids confidence in subjects they don’t find naturally easy. Sharon instantly understood this and has adapted the programme to suit each child and their learning needs ie. lots of regular encouraging messages to the one who lacks confidence and shorter worksheets for the one that is dyslexic as Sharon quickly recognised that he tires quickly. Kumon isn’t just for those wanting to support their children in achieving high grades at school. We have found the repetitive ‘over learning’ style of Kumon is perfect for dyslexic children and also helps build a childs own belief in their abilities. Plus having set work to do at home takes the stress away for us parents to try and figure out where our kids learning gaps are and what we can do to support them. I can’t thank Sharon and her team enough. She is responsive to all our (many) questions and regularly provides updates on our kids learning. Her positive and engaged nature is also reflected within her team evidence by the safe learning space they have created at Kumon.

My two daughters started with Sharon at Kumon in 2021 after missing a lot of time in the classroom because of COVID. It took them a while to get into the swing of it, having homework everyday but very soon they started to exceed where they should be at school and grew more confident in their approach. As their confidence grew they started to really enjoy it! Sharon and the team have been wonderful and really supportive, even helped my eldest in her year 6 SATS. My daughter joined Kumon 9 months ago but had a 4 months period of serious illness and missing classroom time. Sharon and her team were very supportive during this time. I did not think my daughter would catch up on her learning because of the nature of her illness. I had also noticed a change in her focus and attention. Sharon was amazing with her! She did not overwhelm her, she gave her enough work to get her confidence back. During days when she was tired, Sharon was so encouraging and occasionally said ‘she was doing better than she expected’. Now, her confidence is back. She has benefited immensely from the daily work that Sharon has set for her. She is excelling both in Maths and English. Her confidence in reading has grown considerably. My kids attended Newell for their 11plus tuition, and also participated in all the mock exams. Nate Nicholson took my Son two years ago and he did very well. Same reason I insisted he should tutor my daughter this year. My daughter performed even better. Not only that I trust Newell’s curriculum for prepping kids for 11 plus, their 1-2-1 approach to tutoring also helps in focusing on kids as individuals, thereby helping to understand their strengths and weaknesses and tailoring their learning accordingly. Being new to the UK, we were initially very apprehensive in my son’s preparation for the Grammar school entrance. We chose Newell Tuition and Eshaan's tutor Chloe is very supportive and provided continuous support and motivation. He felt enthusiastic in going to Chloe's lessons. Good Success Private Tuition is the best private tuition you can think of in Manchester, we came from Nigeria in 2022 and while we were waiting for school placement we enrolled my daughters in this private tuition to get them prepared for UK curriculum, I can categorically say this move made a difference not only they were able to settle in school, the foundation from this school made a difference till date, we have been receiving positive feedback from their school's aside from being the best in their various classes the morals and path to life they teach the children makes a difference. My daughter has been tutored by Good success since age 8 for 11plus , she passed with flying colours and got admission to Loreto Grammar school. And then continued her tutorials through high school until GCSE again passed with several A* and then for A levels and UCAT . I am very pleased to say this is the final journey and she has passed and got admission to study medicine at the university of Newcastle. The Support has been extremely great each step of the way . Working for the Tutor Trust as a primary school tutor has been the best experience. I’ve been working as a Secondary English Tutor at The Tutor Trust for nearly a year and it has been such a rewarding role. As a student, the excellent pay and flexible hours were perfect for my hectic schedule during the final year of my university studies.
