This place is incredible ! Played an open day with my brother for only a tenner. And honestly some of the views on this course are unreal. This is definetly a must play and we played superb in tough condition in a pairs event which make things nicer too. Honestly visit this stunning 5 star course if you get a chance !

What a fantastic cliff top golf course in one of the most perfect settings. The course was superbly presented in wonderful condition. The views from all around the course are stunning,especially the 13th hole. From a high tee down to a green on the edge of a beach with view of Bass Rock out at sea. The pro staff and the bar staff were great. You will regret not visiting this course.

Played the Glen on a very windy but sunny Saturday morning first week of November. Course was in great condition with almost all tees and greens in play (a few par 3s had mats). Visually without doubt one of the most stunning courses I've played in Scotland with several of the holes playing towards the sea giving a fantastic views. Many memorable holes on the course and par 3 13th is not one you'll forgot easily. All the staff in bar and pro shop were very friendly and our 4 ball had a great day and were only disappointed about the fact we hadn't played the course until now. Will definitely be back again soon hopefully when its slightly less windy but thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

Fabulous course. Great welcome at the shop. Course condition is lovely. It's tough especially when it rains and rains. The views are 2nd to nine especially when it rains and rains - see photo. 15th tee.

Recently refurbished and what a great job they have done, the place is stunning. Food excellent and very good prices.

What a lovely day our 2 teams from Bellingham had in the recent open. Very warm welcome from the City ladies, excellent raffle, sports clothing shopping. The course is great and the catering fabulous.. thank you...

We go with a friend who is a member of the golf club so I'm not sure if its a public bar and lounge , I think the public can go in for drinks and food 🤷‍♂️ We went there for Sunday breakfast which was well cooked and presented by friendly staff . It is a lovely light, bright and airey room which is quite large and has lovely big picture windows that overlook the golf course and the 18th hole . It doesnt get much better on a nice sunny Sunday morning sitting chatting with friends in nice surroundings

Very nice. We had a Sunday stay. Used the spa. Lunch in the restaurant and drinks in the various bars on the evening. All very nice. Service was very good. Would recommend and hope to be back soon!

We have had a super weekend with our dog at this very impressive looking hotel. We got past the debacle of room 45 above the spa, and it’s not an exaggeration to say that room was hotter than the sauna. When we were taken to the room it had a portable fan running, so if you know there is an issue why put guests in there? Consequently on the first night we got very little sleep. They did move us to another room for the remaining 2 nights which was much better. We ate in the Cloisters restaurant twice and it was superb. The pool area is lovely as is the steam room, but the jacuzzi is dated and not warm enough. Think they will be improving this soon? Staff are friendly, big shout out to Nick who was great. Can recommend this hotel but ask not to be put above the spa?

Amazing hotel, great food and service. Staff go above and beyond, especially Alyson and Laura. The keepers has great food and service in a relaxed atmosphere Used for many high class corporate events such as McLaren cars! Good spa with nice pool Owners are investing a lot into developing Looking forward to returning soon. You won’t regret a stay here!

I'm only a beginner golfer so found this course challenging in places. Beautiful condition for early October. Quite hilly. Clubhouse is big & friendly. Also has a par 3 course, driving range & practice area for putting & pitching.

I was there at a private venue last night. Staff were brilliant. The place is beautiful. Inside and extra specially out.

First class course in excellent condition. Very friendly welcome with everyone connected with the golf club. Definitely worth a visit.

Great course, lots of interesting holes and elevation changes. Great condition and a lovely clubhouse. Always enjoy a day at Tyneside.

Been a while since last here & the course didn't disappoint as it was in good condition & the greens were the best we have encountered this year ! Staff in clubhouse very chatty & friendly will definitely return!!

Played our last golf society day this year. Bacon sandwich was a good start. Course in decent condition considering the rain but the greens were a bit of a letdown. The course is tight with a lot of cross-overs on Teeing off and some Tees are right behind greens which can be off putting on approach shots. Lots of pedestrian pathways close to fairways. You need to have a tight game to play well here. Not for me so can't really recommend

A tricky first few holes with out of bounds all down the right. Birdies are get-able from there on out playing into very receptive greens. Well worth the 20 min ish drive from Newcastle. Will be coming again soon.

Lovely course meandering along the bank of the Tyne. Very fair test for any golfer and a challenge for better players - pars at 2, 8 and 12 will be rare. Stunning clubhouse too. Well worth a visit.

Great Great Great place, superb staff, my Farther used to be a member with all of the old school Gentlemen. Love going on Father's day to see all the old school Gentlemen.

I have many memories here over the years, in the pros shop, lessons, caddying for the juniors team and Christmas parties as a kid. Stopped here for a pint as our last stop on a 10 mile sponsored walk. Bar staff were polite and friendly, toilets nice and clean. Will be back again sometime.

Lovely curse to play. Weather Turner soul when we got there. Staff were happy for us to hang on till it cleared. Managed to leave my 8 iron. I'm not local, was visiting. It was handed in, so thanks, and staff have been great and will post to me. This is why 5 stars. Only niggle is some of greens not clearly marked. Update, 8 iron arrived today. Thank you. Best place I have played. Will certainly return and recommend to others visiting the area.

Stunning Open Championship qualifying course. Conveniently situated within the Newcastle racecourse estate on the outskirts of the city. Beautiful clubhouse with services & catering to match.

Nice course but nothing hugely special about the place. No pro shop as under refurbishment but no signs saying so.

Played in the seniors open. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. Course in good condition particularly the greens. Very unusual layout around the race course. Quite quirky but definitely worth a visit.

Good layout with the green complexes being the defence of the course. Was in excellent condition when we played on Sun 11th August. Great pint of Guinness and very friendly and helpful bar staff. Were well looked after by resident pro Karl Strodl. One recommendation with regard hole 8 ( which if implemented would improve experience ) i.e. clearer indication where to aim ie a notice on tee or a green disc on marker post?

Played in an open competition and the course was in great condition considering the wet weather prior. The staff were all welcoming and friendly and we had a great day. There was a halfway hut for refreshments which was very welcome. Finished with a nice pint in the lovely clubhouse. Looking forward to going back soon.

Challenging course. Very tight with not a lot of space between holes so expect to hear “Fore” more than any other course (especially with me playing :D). Greens are in great condition and the exposure to wind really challenges your round. Looking forward to coming back.

As a visitor today we found the course very enjoyable, and the condition of the course for 2nd Nov was superb. We did however feel some holes could have had better signage for people playing for the first time.

We had our annual society day there and the course was in excellent condition especially the greens, a massive thank you to all the staff who couldn't have made us more welcome, we will definitely be back next year.

Just had a round at this wonderful golf course. The course was is great condition the greens are immaculate and true will definitely be back.

I was at a wedding there. What a view from the balcony to the 18th hole!!! It's so nice and not too big as a venue. The staff at the bar were fabulous. Nice size car park, too. All in all, I can't fault this perfect venue.

This is a fantastic golf course. One of the best I've played in a long time. The greens were immaculate possibly the best I've ever had the pleasure of playing on. The course is reasonably challenging and has a lot of character. With some stunning views down the fairways on some holes. I played on a warm sunny day after a run of dry weather so the greens were really fast and true. It took me a while to gauge my putting and a few times my ball landed on the green and rolled off the other side. I didn't mind it made the round more fun. I hired a golf cart but I wouldn't recommend it as the fairways are not flat at all which means you bounce up and down all the way round with your clubs clanging in your ear (If you have ever played Gosforth golf course they are all like the 18 fairway). This feature makes playing the fairways more fun and interesting. Next time I'm going to use my trolley and walk. The golf course is elevated so you get lovely views of the surrounding area especially from the first tee. The pictures of the Angel of the north are from the 18 fairway. This means it was a little windy which added an extra challenge on some holes. The facilities are good especially the changing room which is huge with loads of lockers. I didn't eat order drink and only visited the pro shop which was well stocked. The pro was really friendly and helpful as was everyone I met on the way round. I look forward to playing this course again.
