Would recommend using Scott, searched through quite a few carpenters on google before deciding to use his services. I was not disappointed with the result and his workmanship, a tidy and friendly contractor, who kept me informed throughout the build and helped me out with additional jobs around the house at no extra hassle.

We used Scott from 1st Choice Carpentry & Building to install our new kitchen. He did a fantastic job for us - installed to a really high standard, with minimal disruption. Scott is polite and friendly, and a tidy worker. He kept us informed about everything during the process. The price we paid was very competitive and we would definitely use him again for any further carpentry or building work we needed done. We highly recommend Scott 👍

Neat, tidy and very good attention to detail and great quality. I have been using this company for years for many carpentry jobs including new doors and associated ironmongery etc. Structural floors and finishing works. 🥇 Only small draw back is that they don't do all the building work i need , like plumbing. 😄

Scott came to do some panelling, build a bespoke cupboard and fit a ceiling rose. His workmanship is excellent. My living room is transformed! He listened to exactly what I wanted, was incredibly reliable and communicated well. He even worked late until the job was done! Wonderful service! I would definitely recommend him and his company.

Gary and his team were fabulous from the start of the job to completion. They were punctual, polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I was updated throughout. Gary made the job so much easier as he made sure all the components were ordered and delivered as and when they were needed. Several alterations were required along the way which Gary and his team carried out without any hassle. Matt is extremely good at what he does, replaced 18 doors throughout our house in 3 days and they look amazing. His workmanship is great, whole job cleaned up and finished perfectly. I would not hesitate to use Matt again and I will be recommending him to everyone I know.

Excellent service and very professional. We recently had three badly worn and damaged stair treads replaced and four interior doors changed. Tim and Sam are brilliant. Quality of their work is outstanding , proper skilled tradesmen. They repaired our existing badly damaged door liners saving us not only money but a lot of mess. They even supplied and changed the newel post cap free of charge. They arrived on time on both occasion and left no mess and they are very competitively price. We will be having Tim and Sam back to change two more doors shortly. Highly recommend !

Having used Calvin over the last few years for various bathroom and ensuite projects, I must say his work approach is excellent, his attention to detail is fantastic he doesn’t rush to get the job done he ensures that everything is done correctly. He’s goes about the work in a very professional manner. I have no hesitation in recommending Calvin.

We hired Calvin to complete a large single storey extension and could not be more pleased with both the work carried out and the management of the job. Calvin organised all of the separate contractors, lieased with building control and our architect to ensure the work was complete to both a very high standard and to our specification. Throughout the job we were kept in the loop in terms of timeframe and next steps where again Calvin was excellent. We made a few changes to plans based on some of his recommendations which have proved to be perfect. He was also very accommodating in some of the changes we requested for example adding an additional sky light and patio area. In addition to this, the job was significantly delayed (through no fault of Calvin and team) where there was an issue with a sewer that the water company did not know was there. This meant going back to the architect and Severn Trent and consequently changing plans. Calvin managed all of this taking the stress off our hands keeping us informed and the job running. All this being said, where Calvin really shines is in the quality of his work which is flawless. We would highly recommend Calvin and Sam - they even managed to win over our dog!

Calvin boxed in some pipes for me in my property that were in an awkward position by the stairs, really happy with the work completed. Calvin was responsive, professional, diligent and reasonably priced. would recommend.

Brian has done a fantastic job on my new front door! He has been wonderful at after instalation care coming back with no hesitation to adjust to get it perfect. I used him 8 years ago at my old house to replace a door. I will continue to use him for all my carpentry as I can trust him.

Brian and his team carried out a lot of work for us (repainting, woodwork, garden improvement, fixed gates). The work was done to a very high standard, quickly, and with a friendly, efficient manner. My mother desperately needed some laminate flooring tided up after having a radiator moved in preparation for a stair lift to be fitted. We rang up Brian and explained we needed the flooring put down within a few days before the stair lift could be fitted. Brian was very helpful and came the next day to have a look. He then returned the following day and done the job for us. He also repaired our back door that had dropped and fitted us some window and door locks. Highly recommended. Would use again..
