A brilliant gem in the country side. I’m a big fan of this traditional country restaurant/pub. I enjoyed my visit to this place in Ledsham every time. Fantastic food and lovely atmosphere.

It’s very popular. Suitable for families and friends. We have been here numerous times in the past.

Their Sunday roast is amazing. You must try it! Booking is essential. We have also came here for some scrumptious lunches during the week. There are indoor and outdoor seatings. They also have indoor seatings upstairs which will be used when the restaurant is busy.

Service is great and timely. Staffs are very friendly. Clean restroom. A parking lot available just outside the building.

Definitely will return. Fully recommended!

Came here for my partners birthday, we couldn’t find a fault if we tried. The food was outstanding some of the best pub food we’ve ever eaten. We've had dinner at a pub with a Michelin star and I would say the food was better at the chequers! The service was great too. So glad we gave the Chequers a try we can’t wait to return!

Gorgeous food, really friendly and helpful staff and a lovely location.

Atmosphere is lovely, too. The only reason I didn't give full stars was that we sat in front of a really draughty window and got very cold backs.

My partner and I booked for a meal to check it out for our wedding. Since then we've been back several times and took our parents who now love this place and food as equally as us. The food is divine 😋 wow wow 👌 every meal we tried has been outstanding 👌. Cosy pub with log fires, beams n cottage feel. Welcoming place and staff alike.
