That was simply the best Christmas meal I've had in a long time! Beautiful cosy pub, beautifully presented formal restaurant..yet felt relaxed and homely. From the selection of dainty warm bread rolls to a piping hot coffee the service was excellent and friendly. The main event was so tasty I ate it before I could take a photo!! A proper Christmas Dinner. A colourful plateful of succulent turkey, full selection of perfectly cooked bite sized vegetables (barely needed a knife! ) Oodles of cranberry sauce and individual little jugs of gravy if you wanted extra. Finished with some amazing home cooked and different from the normal desserts . Highly recommend.
We had the most lovely Boxing Day lunch at The Red Lion. Graham and staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and atmosphere relaxed but efficient. A really special afternoon.
Friendly young bar staff. Bright clean restaurant with proper linen tablecloths and napkins. Home made food not home cooked frozen meals. Reasonable prices. Nice outside dining area too
