Amazing food from nick beardshaw from great British menu. We both had amazing meals. One sticking to the £25, 3 course set menu (lunch time visit) and the other choosing two signature dishes - “a moon shaped pool” and “balloon girl” plus the prawn stuffed plaice as main. Everything was so delicious. Real flavour bombs. Every morsel worth savouring over. I also had the signature lemon martini. Truly an amazing treat. Very happy to see something so amazing locally. We will be back. Hoping to sit at the bar for a chef’s table type experience!!

Starling in Esher is a gem of a bistro, offering expertly crafted seasonal British dishes by Michelin-starred chef Nick Beardshaw. It’s my 3rd visit and can’t wait to go back. Huge thank you to James for always making each visit special. Well done guys

Outstanding lunch, with the best quality ingredients, cooked perfectly ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The service was as good as the food! What a great addition to Esher, Starling is, and of course to the wider Surrey food scene. The resturant is light, the tables are well spaced. There’s both counter top and table dining, with an open plan kitchen The menu ( this was lunch) offers a 2/3course “Fixed price” menu or there is a wider selection menu with snacks, starters mains, grills, sides and desserts giving huge flexibility over what you order. A great wine list at very good prices offering wine by the glass We had the Hog roast fritters, the pork terrine, Creedy carver duck and Nick’s GBM wining “Ballon Girl” for dessert all were outstanding The food is “Proper tasty” great portion sizes skilfully presented service is friendly, fuss free and delivered with a smile Can’t wait to go back

Wow! We had the most amazing dinner last night, everything was so beautifully presented and delicious from the elegant Hampton Court Spirits Freezer Martini to the ‘Great British Menu’ Balloon Girl desert. Esher has been crying out for a restaurant of this calibre for years! Great service and buzzy atmosphere 🤩

6 of us had a meal at Starlings last night 16/11/24. Fantastic service from James and all staff. Thank you Nick - the food was so so good !! I had the moon shape pool starter and Dill main course. Highly recommend ! Friends had the sharing steak, my wife had the duck - all of which was so good. 10/10.
