Lovely meal at Smiths with colleagues, following a recommendation. Nobody had any complaints, food was tasty, well presented and excellent value. Great wine list too. Pics are of my choices - roast turkey (I know, sacrilege in a fish restaurant, but you know, christmas!) and the creme brulee which was AMAZING. VERY full tummies all round. Excellent service (shout out to our waiter Alex who did an excellent job) and thanks to the patient front of house staff and others who always work incredibly hard in December in particular. Will definitely be returning!
Exceptional service! Stopped by for lunch after the gym, and the food just keeps getting better every time. We didn’t have any alcoholic drinks, just water, and the cost was around £85 per person—an excellent value for the incredible service and outstanding food. Highly recommend it—the food was absolutely out of this world! Dover sole - is my recommendation Managed to squeeze us in without a Booking, but was once my local for years Thank you
We’ve been coming to Smiths Wapping for a number of years. Last nights visit was a table of 9 with a new waiter Mehmet. I have to say his attention to detail and general friendliness was if he has been there for years. It certainly made the night more enjoyable. I have to say from the moment we were greeted to the way all the staff we spoke to responded this restaurant is still no 1 The food as always is absolutely perfect and presented how you would expect. Cannot fault any part of the night. Oh and for those that didn’t know. Bakewell tart is back!!!
Veal main , oysters and octopus starters with two tonics and two glasses of wine 161£ Service was amazing from them , and they were very thoughtful constantly checking on us throughout the meal , food was amazing no faults at all. Old fashioned inside - think they could improve there decor but other than that a fantastic restaurant on the river which I will be returning too
