The Home Cottage regularly host wine tastings, complete with lovely small plates, all guided by the wonderful Poppy! Not only is the food 10/10, but Poppy’s knowledge of the wine is superb. Such an engaging evening, excellent value for money - could not recommend more!
Great place to either have a drink, quick snack or 3 course meal. Lovely place to eat & drink in a traditional atmosphere.
Visited late Saturday afternoon and despite very busy and a private party being organised, the service was brilliant. Greeted and shown to our table by our server Karina. Choice of ordering at bar or in app. Ordered on app after being given recommendations from Karina. Considering how busy they were food was served very quickly and with a friendly smile. Thanks to James as well for the delicious mocktail!
We booked home cottage for our office Christmas lunch and it was fantastic. The food was great, the staff are lovely and super helpful. We sat 25 and parties of a comparable size get their own room in the pub which was amazing. Additionally, on the morning off I wanted to last minute implement a seating plan so I called the staff and not only were they lovely but they got everything printed and set up on time with essentially no notice. Would highly recommend for Christmas parties and is all round a good pub!
My family & I booked The Home Cottage for my late husband's funeral reception.
The staff handled the booking, the assigned area for us, plus the food and drinks to perfection. They were simply marvellous.
The food was good. Their fried chips grabed my guests attention much so that we asked for seconds. They obliged.
The room was warm and well ventilated.
Their facilities were clean and easy to access and use.
My sincere thanks to The Home Cottage for making my guests and family feel welcome on such a sad occasion.
