Despite being in a problematic location for tourists, those of investigatory inklings will hunt it out and be rewarded. Though downtown Margate has a couple of good coffee places, Skinny Dip is definitely the place to go if you want something exciting and less like the Aussie "Flat White" gurglings. Tom the owner is a fountain of knowledge, and happily recommends things that hit your personal tastes. I had three different varieties of coffee (drip, pour-over and coldbrew), from three different beans, and all of them were great and very different. Behind the cafe in the same building is a form of communal workshop vibe worth a wander, but the star of the show is the coffee.

Tom is such a genuinely nice and knowledgeable guy. This is a hidden gem of coffee. If you love your coffee and you care about where it comes from, then this is the place for you. We got some freshly roasted coffee to take home with us. This is just fantastic coffee!

Unreal! Was left lost for words after having the BLT. Genuinely the best sandwich I have ever eaten. The Cold Brew is up there as the best cold brew you can get also. My wife had the Bodega and loved it too. We finished off with the French toast. Top draw pudding that put a feather in the cap of our experience. Great vibe and hugely friendly and happy staff. Will 100% be returning again and again.

The Bodega breakfast bun - brioche, egg patty, cheese, crispy onions, homemade sriracha and pickled radish - is in my top 10 sandwiches ever. Great coffee too, try the batch filtered.

Just scarfed down a classic Bodega which was absolutely delicious and had an iced latte which is genuinely the nicest iced coffee I’ve been able to find in the UK for a while! Will definitely be coming back when I need a break from the home office!
