Always come to Forts when visiting Margate. It’s our go to for good coffee- their iced oat lattes in particular. Amazing food too, this time we had the French toast and garlic mushrooms and scrambled egg both perfect. Great vibes and views to the sea!
The best brunch spot! Wow wow wow, the Korean chicken focaccia sandwich is insanely good. The team at Forts are so friendly and super welcoming of us with our dog, which is always appreciated! Excited to return again and again!
Forts is a super cool casual spot. We came for a brunch and although it was busy, we only waited on list for 10 mins. We had toasties and they were spectacular. Filling yet fresh and tasty. (I had the bacon and my bf had the 3 cheese) And The coffee is the best I had in Margate, proper oat milk latte. Service was wonderful also. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!
Service we received was not very friendly. Service locals / others received was great. We were the only ones who were there with children maybe because of that maybe not. When I have asked blond lady if they have a baby chair she bluntly said no and walked away.. (ahrr?! Attitude. Is it public Cafe here?! Lol) In general staff were not attentive to us. I went to the counter several times asking for extra cutlery, extra napkins etc. They were very attentive to local people with dogs. So maybe it’s just dog oriented cafe rather than family? Not sure. My hypothesis. From the immediate service I felt not that hungry and decided to skip it all together. I don’t like eating in places where I am not welcome. However my family indulged in their expensive menu and food was cooked well. So thank you and well done Chef! My filter coffee notes were not to my liking but again I tasted freshly grounded coffee and it was quality so all credits for serving quality coffee. Parking available outside.
Really lovely food and staff were friendly. Great that we could bring our dog in too. All staff members were welcoming and very quick service
