Wonderful little place tucked into a beautiful city. I have visited Canterbury twice and had to make sure I stopped here each morning. The coffee is amazing and all of the pastries were fresh.
It is a very lovely place in Canterbury, a small coffee shop that is easy to fall in love with. I had a double espresso, for £2.60, and every penny worth for it: strong, tasty, well roasted. They also have cakes, which have good taste as well. Micro Roastery has a very friendly atmosphere, but aware: as its name shows you, this is a small coffee shop. A few tables on the ground floor, and some seating in the upstairs.
A nice, quiet, place to grab a coffee (and maybe a cake too) while in Canterbury. The staff are friendly & helpful, and the building has character. I had a coffee and a "sausage roll" (very nice, but the chicken tikka tasting pastry didn't seem much like a sausage roll to me). The venue is small. Initially, we went out to the back yard, but found that the room on the first floor was nicer (albeit warm on a summer's day).
I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed The Micro Roastery before, but it may be a subconscious worry that by reviewing, I may not get a seat in the future 😂 Basically one of, if not, the best coffee shops in Canterbury. ☕ Great coffee selection to drink in, but also take away ❤️
