We had previously been for a breakfast but went yesterday for dinner, to try out their new after hours evening menu. We arrived a little earlier than our 6pm booking, we were welcomed with big smiles and seated straight away. Menus for drinks and food came soon after. Olive the lovely young lady who served us explained the menu and how many dishes we may want to order. We ordered 3 each, the potions were generous, and came out of the kitchen when they were ready, which Olive had told us previously. WOW the food was outstanding. Fresh ingredients, presentation was absolutely amazing. Exactly how food should be. Overall a fabulous experience. Olive was superb, the ambience was amazing and the food as I said before was outstanding. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Wow, what a lovely cafe🍴🍞🌷🍄 The portion sizes are generous, we weren’t expecting that much food honestly but very good value for money! Staff were very lovely and kept asking if we need anything else. Theres searing inside but also outside and there’s a little outhouse with heating and a fire place where we sat. When sat outside you order through the hole in the wall. Very cozy🥰, dogs are welcomed too! Only thing was the matcha had ALOT of cold foam rather than actual drink… Parking can be found at the Queens head pub round the corner💖

I have visited The Apple Tree many times over the years and I have never had a bad experience, food or service. It’s ALWAYS been exceptional. They really have it down to a fine art. Last night I was lucky enough to get a table at their new After Hours evening. We loved the slower pace of the After Hours evening, the vibe is completely different to visiting in the daytime. It felt more intimate. Now onto the food..! There’s only one word to describe the dishes we consumed and that is DELICIOUS! One of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time. We went for 6 dishes as they’re designed for sharing and it was perfect. All of the dishes are cooked fresh so come out when they’re ready - a constant conveyor belt of food 😍 They all packed a punch in terms of flavour but felt light. Thank you The Apple Tree and well done for creating another event which was fantastic. A huge shoutout to JoJo and front of house staff for impeccable service. Not forgetting the incredible chefs behind the scenes 😍👌🏼

Me and my partner came here for breakfast a few weeks ago and had a lovely experience. The food and service was great, everyone was happy and smiling. We sat in the barn at the back that also had heaters in it. We will be back very soon. I also love your shop too 🙂

Had a lovely breakfast here this morning, delicious, and just what I needed after a walk. Food came quickly, the coffee was good and the service was very friendly and efficient. Fresh flowers on the table too!! Heartily recommend 👌

I visited with my friend for coffee and catch up and we were made to feel so welcome. We decided to stay for lunch and the food was tasty and nicely presented. They made my friend’s dog so welcome with treats and fuss, a truly dog friendly place. Although they were very busy when we arrived the tables and chairs were spotless and the team made time to say hello and didn’t rush us with our order. We’ll certainly be back and I would definitely recommend this friendly cafe.

Absolutely love coming to the Soresby Street Cafe. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. The atmosphere and decor is great. The staff are very kind and attentive. If you haven’t given it a try yet please do, you won’t be disappointed 😊

I'm so happy that the Old Smithy has reopened! It used to be a favourite stop on our walks, and we missed it so much. We worried if the new owners would maintain the charm and atmosphere, but we were not disappointed. The menu is basic, but the portions are generous, and the food is really fresh and tasty. The staff are superb!!!! Very friendly, yet polite and respectful. The service was prompt and efficient. Cannot wait to go back. I sincerely hope that the business will thrive and wish the new owners all the best of luck.

Very quick review... If you go to any cafe around Chesterfield this is absolutely a must not miss. The food is really beyond even my expectations and the coleslaw ♥️♥️♥️. For an old jaded restaurant critic this was just wonderful. Really. So, check out the Old Smithy, it's utterly exquisite on all fronts (decor, food, and service). My highest award: FIVE NOMS 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂

I’ve visited The Old Smithy many times! I've been for breakfast, brunch, and lunch and it never disappoints. The food is consistently top-notch, and their signature Smithy blend coffee is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The staff are always warm, welcoming, and greet you with genuine smiles. Loved our visit to the Farm shop and Cafe. Really nice to see local produce on sale, and really yummy products too. We had an iced caramel coffee, iced chai latte and a sticky toffee fudge cake slice. All were delicious! The cake was so moist and fresh! The drinks were really refreshing too. The decor inside is really nice, looks like a converted farm/barn. Really cute cafe :))

Best place in Hartington to get a quick drink, breakfast, lunch, sweet snack or do a little shopping. Previously only getting some products and gifts from farm shop, this time we stopped for breakfast (full English) and coffee. Mocha was really nice and served very quickly. We had t wait for breakfast but it wasn't more than 15 minutes. The breakfast was very tasty and the portion was definitely too big for me. The menu is decent, including the menu for kids, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Great cake display on the counter and very good prices (next time I'll try some of the cake). The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is converted farm, with lots of space. The shop is situated in front, the cafe in the back with plenty of tables. Local artists pictures are on the walls (for sale) which gives more character, the place is clean. What's also worth mentioning is that the farm shop won some awards and they source ingredients from local farms.

Quirky little cafe and shop with numerous pods within the facility. Ample car parking and a nice little walk at the rear of the car park should you feel the need. Lovely staff with great service. We entered the shop to order food and although we were slightly after the cut off time for breakfast they still made one for me. Perfect.

Plenty of parking, outdoor seating or indoor. Went for lunch. Well priced and good food. Slightly disappointed with the cake offerings on the day of my visit - traybakes mostly would have been nice to have a choice of sponge cakes, but overall a pleasant experience

A neighbour told us about this litter gem! Brilliant parking with individual parking slots. Farm shop is located on the right, we went to the left under an open archway to a choice of 2 summer houses or seating in the beautiful gardens. There is a small child's play area and a dog walking trail about ½ mile in distance, for customers. We came for breakfast and sat in one of the summer houses. We chose off the menu and then ordered the food in the farm shop. The breakfast came a short while later, beautifully presented and very tasty. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. We look forward to coming again very soon

Lovely little location, excellent breakfast & really dog friendly, which was great for us but accommodates everybody, dog or no dog 👍 Great place to call for a bite to eat or a coffee especially if you are on your way to or from East Midlands Airport, it’s only 25mins away. We took my mum for breakfast a few weeks ago before she flew home to Ireland. I am going back tomorrow with my husband & dogs for breakfast, a dog walk (as they have a 1/2 mile dog walk & exercise paddock) before they drop me off at the airport.

Visited the youndermann for breakfast, got a small youndermann breakfast. Everything was really good, the mushrooms and the oatcake were not my favourite but thats just personal preference 🙂 this breakfast comes with a choice of tea or coffee. Beautiful scenery if you sit outside, overall lovely place to visit. It is out of the way, but is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely cafe with a great atmosphere and good food. A little pricey but it's worth it. Went for breakfast before a walk whilst grabbing a few things from the garden centre. Couldn't resist a piece of cookie pie too.

Lovely little place. The cheese toasty I ordered for my son was exceptional value and the salad looked like it had just been cut there and then, there was no wilting at all. Plenty of parking too, I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area and peckish. My only little feedback would be to cut the sausage in half so the customer doesn't have to.

I'm always curious when small cafes try to do more than quick bites. So I had to come and try some of the Vietnamese Fusion Dishes on offer that were "Made to order by our very own Vietnamese chef with fresh ingredients from traditional family recipes". Vietnamese Noodle Salad, Chicken- 10.5 5/5 ⭐ It is a light and refreshing vermicelli rice noodle salad in a tangy Vietnamese chilli & garlic dressing with fresh veg. It is filling and the dressing has a very nice flavour and spice blend. Banh Mi - 10.5 3/5 ⭐ Asian-style baguette with sliced chicken breast, chilli sauce, cucumber, coriander, spring onions and a carrot & radish kimchi slaw, in a crunchy baguette. Nothing too special just a baguette with a different sauce added but still a very filling meal, so a nice meal if you wanted to try something a little different. Fresh Vietnamese chicken Spring Rolls - 10.5 5/5⭐ Homemade rice paper rolls, packed with light vermicelli noodles, carrots, cucumber spring onion and lettuce. Served with herbs and a hoisin peanut chilli dipping sauce. Love the sauce and it's a fresh, light meal. Oat Chai Latte 5/5⭐

Large s welcoming cafe in the middle of Breaston. Lots of good menu choices for breakfast/brunch. We had the American style pancakes which were delicious, but enormous and too large to finish! Good service and plenty of seating. Car parking at rear, but might be difficult if the car park is full. We'd like to come back and try a lighter breakfast...

What a lovely place I never knew existed until yesterday. A quaint little cafe that serves some of the best food I’ve had. The staff/owners were lovely and welcoming, the food was exceptional (veggie Benedict for me) and the drinks were very tasty. I could tell how amazing this place is as it quickly filled with the community; school mums, couples, older folk, and the atmosphere was just great. I will definitely return 👍

SO glad I visited here today with a good friend of mine. I found it on Google maps...!!! Such delicious food , with a very good quality and taste to it. I had garlic mushrooms on sourdough toast , with a poached egg on top, and lots of lovely fresh rocket. My friend had a lovely brown sourdough with a blend of very tasty cheeses on top of it - we both loved our food...😋😋😋. The desserts and cakes are to die for, my friend had a piece of a "triple layer victoria sponge", and I had a piece of "blueberry & lemon sponge" to take away, with me... Coffees were also 👌👌👌👌👌 excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly, too... 🥰🥰👍👍. Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, & lunch...👍👍👍 Amazing...!! You can also reserve a table in advance, to make sure you get a seat, when it's busy....👌👌Visited again with 2 other friends today (12/9/24 - it's still as busy , and as good food as ever....👍👍👍 Gets SO very busy, it's good that you can reserve tables beforehand.

Took a friend there for a mid day meal. They take notice of allergies. The meals were nicely presented. Very popular with mothers and young families. We had the Eggs Benedict that was rather pleasant. When in the area it is worth a try.

I came to Tyler’s tearooms today for afternoon tea with my dad. The food was just incredible! Beautiful cakes and sandwiches and you could have as much tea as you liked. All the staff was so nice and made us feel welcome. I really would highly recommend coming here. Thank you for having us.

With the weather in the minus outside, Tylers is the perfect place for a late breakfast. Not bad at all. Fresh bread? Followed by another coffee and a scone. Easy to park for 2 hours. Happy cafe.

Lovely tea room with a good selection of food options. Service excellent and friendly. The tea room was very busy when we were there, but the staff managed the service very well. Toilet facilities nice and clean. I must ho back to try the breakfasts. They looked excellent!

Local breakfast/lunch cafe in Castle Donnington high street, very cosy atmosphere, staff are so friendly and and a decent English breakfast with local sourced bacon/sausages.
