LOVE!! Been to 5 salons since dying my hair and this is the only one that has listened to me as a client and not made me feel vulnerable in that chair. Had a consultation by James and Victoria but hair styled by Izzy and cannot praise them enough. At every step, they talked me through the process of getting my desired hair, made sure my hair stayed healthy and natural while also dying it to the exact image I showed them, and made sure I walked out with a smile on my face. Not only is it inexpensive, but it’s a salon full of lovely people who care about your hair as much as you do, along with a brilliant atmosphere and good taste in music :) couldn’t recommend enough. I recently visited Johnson Blythe salon after being recommended by a friend. It did NOT disappoint. I was greeted by the lovely James Cowman who made me feel very comfortable and welcome. He recommended things for my hair and I was so impressed by his talent and advice. I have to say it's possibly the best haircut I've ever received, and I'll definitely be going back.

Great experience at the salon in Harpenden. Kelly cut my hair, she also did it a year ago, and once again, she was amazing. She’s warm, professional, and her work is spectacular. I’m really happy with the result. Highly recommended!

After what felt like forever trying to find the right colourist, I was recommended James and he is honestly a genius! I’m absolutely obsessed with my colour. I’ve been transitioning from dark to blonde (trying to disguise a random block of grey right at the front parting -nightmare!) for well over a year and this is the first time it’s looked and felt exactly how I wanted. What stood out most was how instantly comfortable I felt with James. He’s not only warm and down to earth, but he also just got it without me having to over explain - a true pro! Thank you so much.

I’m so glad I found this gem of a salon! James is an absolute pro and incredibly knowledgeable and talented and I’m so pleased with my full head of babylights! He listen to exactly what I wanted and offered spot on suggestions, making me feel at ease and excited about the plan we have in place to help me achieve my ideal colouring! The salon itself is lovely and in a fab location, all the staff are welcoming and I felt like I had such a nice pamper session being there. Victoria has also curled my hair before and it lasted me days, she’s fab! I’d recommend this hair salon to everyone!
