Variety of dishes chosen: Sunday roast, hunters chicken, chicken pie, steak pie, chilli (a few also had a desert later)
All meals cooked fresh to order but the wait wasn’t too long. All meals were excellent.
Staff were attentive & friendly, making sure we were happy with everything.
All of us were happy with the price of dishes which were very good value for money.
We’ve already planned to go back because this is one of the best places we’ve visited on a Sunday lunchtime for quite a while.
Highly recommended.

Very nice spot for really tasty food. We had to wait a while as hadn’t booked, so recommend doing so as it is popular. Also there was a slight wait at the bar as not many staff on but the staff were really nice. The food was excellent, nicely cooked meats and tasty. Got the cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets which were both nice additions and big portions. Looks like a great outdoor area at the back overlooking the river
Great pub with a pleasant atmosphere. The meals are excellent & generous. The staff were attentive & friendly. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended. We've been here on a number of occasions & the food has always exceeded our expectations.
Lovely pub on the edge of town, that is deceptively plain from the front. Once inside, there's plenty of seating and floorspace, leading to tables overlooking the garden and river. Good selection of beers and a friendly landlady. Delicious food and a good choice on the menu. Small car park to the rear.
