Starters were good and same as the other locations I’ve visited. We had the lamb chops (gave me a bigger portion due to the wings being delayed) and the famous beef rib. Flavours on point and cooked to perfection 5/5 for that. The T-Bone steak however was lacking flavour and didn’t taste like it was high quality meat, it was cooked to medium rare as requested. Peppercorn sauce was average in my opinion. Chips were good and coleslaw nothing to brag about. Overall 3.5/5 which is why I’ve given it a 4. Paid around £93 for 2 people and I think based on the overall experience it was probably £15-20 over priced.

Bison Steakhouse is a fantastic find for anyone who loves a proper steak. The ribeye and fillet steaks were both spot on—juicy, tender, and cooked just right, letting the rich flavours of the meat shine through. You can tell they use quality ingredients and know exactly what they’re doing in the kitchen.

The Angus burger was another standout, packed with flavour and so juicy it’s an absolute treat.

The beef rib, although served as a starter, was melt-in-the-mouth tender. Paired with a creamy, comforting mash, it made for a perfect start to the meal.

Everything tasted freshly prepared with care and attention. Bison Steakhouse is well worth a visit for anyone after a delicious, hearty meal.

My Mum and I visited the recently opened Bison Steakhouse in Batley in November, and boy were we seriously impressed by the food. For the size of the portion that you get, the food is good value for money and we had no complaints about that. There is a small free car park outside and a seating area both downstairs and upstairs.

The only thing I would say is I am not sure the venue caters well for disabled people, my Mum walks with a stick and we were seated upstairs which was a little bit of a struggle as the restaurant upstairs was also very hot (maybe as I was invited for my blog they preferred me to be sat upstairs). The toilets are situated upstairs too, I am unsure if there was a disabled toilet downstairs. I didn’t take the chance to look and advise unfortunately, so it’s worth a check

We enjoyed;

Loaded Nachos (£9.99.) WOW 🤩 Literally loaded full of pulled lamb, chicken, cheese and covered, but not smothered, in tasty sauces & Jalapenos. We enjoyed them that much, we were nearly too full for our mains…
Chicken Steaks & 2 sides (sweet potato fries & coleslaw) with Mushroom Sauce (£15.99). My Mum really enjoyed every part of this meal, especially the super crispy fries and creamy coleslaw. The chicken was nicely spiced and cooked. She even took a “doggy bag” home to enjoy the next day!
Rib Eye (medium rare) with 2 sides (chips & onion rings) with peppercorn sauce (£29.99). I could eat this again as I write. My steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Melted in the mouth and so juicy. So many onion rings, which I love. Just an impressive meal.

Bison also have restaurants in Leeds & Huddersfield AND offers a tantalising dessert menu, BUT we were just too full to have any more. Bison’s food is all Halal. The atmosphere is nice, it was just too hot in the restaurant on our visit which made it a little uncomfortable. The staff are friendly and will do all they can for you. a lovely visit with my Mum in all.

This is the second time me and my husband visited Bison. Absolutely stunning food! 5* customer service from staff and a beautiful setting. This is the second time we were served by Noshaba who blew us away with her unbelievable service. She served us without us asking for anything. She truly goes above and beyond for customers. An asset to Bison.

I dropped by this lovely set up on my way back from work and I wasn't disappointed. It's the same menu as the other branches, very easy parking right out front which beats the others! The staff were attentive and always at hand to help if needed. The starters were really nice, and reassuringly the steak was cooked how I liked it. We shared a dessert too which helped to finish off the meal perfectly! There are quite a few places in Batley now, reassuringly bison is doing a great job to compete. Definitely worth a visit
