I called for a quiet pot of tea and to sit work out some directions to a place in Baildon that I was travelling to.
I was delighted to be helped by the bar person, and a customer with his dog, to find my destination..

This is a local pub for us, as baildon residents. It's on its own out the village centre, which is perfect after maybe a walk on the Moor tops, or the Glen etc. Ideal stopping point.
They often have entertainment on, they invite regular street food caterers as an ongoing theme, which are great. Staff always welcoming, and nice selection of ales and the usual!
We have dropped in quite a bit since we've lived in baildon and would recommend to others, wether it's just opportunistic or your a resident too.
My friends and I visited the Old Glen House the first night I arrived in Leeds (I live in the US). The steak and ale pie was amazing, as was the apple/rhubarb dessert!!! (Truly the best beef pie I've ever had). We then travelled all the way to the Scottish Highlands for a week, eating at pubs and restaurants along the way. Out of our entire trip, The Old Glen House was the best food and had our favorite employees. They made us feel welcome in their home. I highly recommend the pies as well as the chicken burgers (My friend said it was the best he's ever eaten). Go to the Old Glen House! And while you're there, stroll down to the Old Glen in the woods just behind it. It's beautiful.
Love a dog friendly pub and one that has a Pie Chart 🥧 - Genius!!
Pie’s are award winning with beautifully cooked veg that you choose from!!!
Lovely pub, good food. Only reason it's got 4 stars and not 5 is it's dog friendly which I know some people will like, I just prefer places that aren't, but it wouldn't put me off a future visit.
