Lovely pub. Great beer and food. We popped in today for a quick lunch with the dog. Atmosphere was lovely - very friendly and welcoming and busy - in a good way. Had a gorgeous hot roast pork ciabatta with chips n salad. Perfect.

This is our local and since it has changed hands 6 months ago we have noticed a good improvement. Food and the wine list in general is much better. The pies are really good and wine list much more appealing. I think Adam is definitely moving in the right direction to make this pub a success with the locals and the those just visiting for the day.
We heard that the pub had new ownership, so we decided to pay a visit and I have to say we were extremely impressed with the food, choices, service and the overall experience. I am a foodie and have worked in the industry for over 40years so my expectations are high, even the crockery and presentation was great. We popped in for a drink on Christmas Day and the owner, I think he was, came over and had a chat to us too, he was out cleaning the tables and that is an example of good leadership! Well done to everyone for bringing back a good friendly pub with home cooked food and excellent service. Definitely recommend you pay a visit and see for yourself.
Stopped in for a bite to eat with my daughter and my brother for a pre-Christmas treat. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced!
I had the steak, cooked a very nice medium rare in a lovely peppercorn sauce. My daughter had the kids chicken nuggets, she cleared her plate so no complaints there! In fact we all cleared our plates so we were all very happy!
Definitely recommend!
