had dinner at Baloci Restaurant recently, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was cozy and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was perfectly cooked, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. But what made the evening even better was the service. I have to give a special shout-out to Farah, the receptionist. She was so warm and friendly, making us feel welcome right away. She went above and beyond, offering great recommendations and just making the whole experience feel personal and special. Her hospitality really stood out and made the night even better. If you're looking for a great meal with exceptional service, Baloci is definitely worth a visit!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea at Baloci Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! The selection of teas was wonderful, and the assortment of finger sandwiches, fresh scones with clotted cream, and delectable pastries were all incredibly tasty and elegantly presented. Every bite was a delight. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Farah, the receptionist, for her outstanding hospitality. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel welcomed and ensured I had everything I needed throughout the visit. Her friendly and attentive service truly enhanced the overall experience. I recently dined at Baloci Restaurant for dinner, and it was an overall delightful experience. From the moment I entered, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of cozy and elegant decor. The menu offered a diverse range of dishes, each bursting with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. I opted for their signature dishes, and they did not disappoint – the flavors were rich, and the presentation was impeccable. My second time visiting Baloci and the service was incredible. Our Waiter Flo was very helpful and informative in regards to the Menu. I have a gluten intolerance and they catered to my needs. The gluten free sandwiches and desserts were nice, however, the scones were not very nice. They completely crumbled and there was no sugar in the scone so it tasted more like a savoury item. I would always recommend Baloci as the service is 10/10 and the food is delicious.

I have come here number of times and always enjoy the food,on this occasion I took my mom and daughter and they really likes the food too. Their is a bit of a wait but worth waiting as the food is fresh. Only downfall is the place is cold ,you cant take jacket off too cold. It is however very clean and staff are friendly and food is delicious.

A nice little place on Ladypool Rd. The usual stuff you would expect from an Arab restaurant is served here: shawarma, shish taouk, kofta, baklava, you get the picture. As pictured below I purchased the shish taouk which are pieces of chicken breast grilled. It has a garlic taste and was cooked well, not dry or burnt. The rice is a little bland and in hindsight I should have had fries. They do a white sauce which looks like yogurt which is nice and a very spicy one. Overall a good quality nutritious meal that will really hit the spot if you’re hungry

We went here after seeing the reviews and they did not disappoint. We ordered a mezze platter which was tasty and the sea bass which was the most flavourful fish I have had in Birmingham. Surprisingly the food was well seasoned, spicy. The fries were fresh potato’s with the skins on and seasoned with a lovely spice. The portion sizes were generous . However we were let down with the hot drinks as they had no adeni tea or chai latte that day. The Kunafah was average, it could not compare to Mr Knafah or the other knafah place on Coventry road. It didn’t have that crunch or that stretchy cheese it also seemed a little dry not enough syrup. The mochas were lovely though. Overall though one of the best Arab food places in Birmingham as the food was very well seasoned, cooked fresh and generous portion sizes.

We went here to have dinner on our Anniversary and it was a very nice experience. The restaurant is very clean and well kept, the food is chefs kiss, reminded me of my days in Dubai. Everything is so delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The two gentlemen working here are very hardworking and make the food with care and provide a great service. We had so many different things and our bill was only £39, will visit again with friends and try more dishes.

Absolutely top notch smokehouse. The best I have ever been to (and I've been to a few including in US). The meat was all so juicy and melt in your mouth. Specially recommend the ribs, they were to die for. The brisket was amazing too. To my absolute surprise the chicken tenders were so soft and juicy. Only got them as they come with the platter but man was i surprised. Staff were very nice and customer service excellent. If you want authentic texan bbq then holy smokes is defo the spot. One of the rare times when the actual place outdone the hype. Defo worth a visit. 10/10 all round. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. I tried their Smoked ribs & brisket, Pulled brisket loaded fries, Chicken tenders, and Smash burger—and every bite was nothing short of phenomenal. The brisket was the standout for me—tender, juicy, and packed with rich smoky flavour, arguably the best I’ve had anywhere. The pulled brisket loaded fries was also impressive, with a deep, melt-in-your-mouth texture that left me wanting more. Their chicken tenders were gently crisp on the outside but incredibly tender inside, and the smash burger was an absolute delight—well-seasoned, juicy, and stacked with flavor. What sets Holy Smokes apart is not just the quality of the food but the passion behind it. The attention to detail in the 10-hour smoking process and the perfect balance of flavours made me hooked. If you're in Birmingham and love BBQ, you can't afford to miss this spot! Thank me later ;)

Fantastic food, very good value for money for the type of food you are eating. The portion sizes are very good as well for the meat. The new location 2-4 doors down from the old location is great. Service was really good. Defo recommend -ribwich -ribs -brisket fries -brisket slices Genuinely well worth going. Plus nice tea and desserts shops right next door or opposite. Only downfall is parking is a headache. So expect a 5 min walk at least. It’s Ladypool road so parking is terrible

Just had a really lovely meal with my family at Grillz. We ordered the kebabish tawa and mango lassi. The food was fresh and very tasty. The flavours were on point and spiced, but not too spicy. Something a lot of desi restaurants go way too heavy on. This worked great for my kids since we prefer to feed them whatever we are having than to give them something boring from the kids menu. They loved the “red chicken” and of course the chips. Which, by the way were crispy and piping hot. The naan was along with everything else was, fresh, crispy, buttery and delicious. An unexpected favourite on the tawa was their kebabish dish, so flavourful and saucy. The chops were also really great, lovely marinade. The mango lassi was velvety smooth, not too sweet and really quite refreshing. Last point I’d like to make is that I really love and respect that there was Quran playing in the restaurant. Made for a really relaxed meal (once the kids stopped being so hangry).

Amazing food. Fast and friendly service. I went there for Iftar, initially I was supposed to go to another restaurant which was really busy and packed. Grillz was also busy but managed to get us seated. Order was taken in good time, food did not take long to come. Great taste and flavour. The staff went above and beyond to ensure great service and food to us all ( considering they were fasting too) so I am writing this review as I appreciated their great service.

Food was nice, we were seated downstairs which I felt was a bit in the way of everyone as we were next to the main till and serving area. When I first visited here, we were seated upstairs which I felt was more private and intimate. Menu I felt was limited.. gues you have to try a few dishes and then you stick to them. I ordered peri chicken, which was nice, my husband ordered mixed kebabish with chips and naan. The kababish was tasty and the naan was perfection, beautiful buttery and soft. My daughter ordered chicken parmesan. The crispy coating to that was a little greasy and the star of the show, the cheese sauce tasted as though it came from a packet.. a little disappointing. If I did revisit I would request to be seated upstairs as I would've felt more relaxed, I would also order something different

Lovely food and the atmosphere. Every item is tasty. Their mixed kebab and mango items are must to try. I really loved their concern about customer satisfaction. I would say most friendly stuffs.they know how to respect their customers. Today we have been served by Mr. Dani he was soo friendly sincere and helpful. Im praising them because i went there with my 7 month old daughter and today was my 2nd visit to their place. But one thing bothered me is that- in most asian restaurants they serve papadrum nd some chatney complimentary but here u have to pay 2.5 pounds.

Very accommodating of my allergy order (fish and nuts) and went through significant trouble to separate allergens for me despite me visiting alone. Staff very quick, alert and attentive which was refreshing. Chefs were open to suggestions. Issues/mistakes were rectified quickly. Value for money with high quality ingredients. We were recommended this place from a friend and it did not disappoint. Amazing atmosphere. We ordered food for 5 people. Lamb shank, lamb shoulder, prawns and mixed grill. All the food was amazing and the service was so timely and no long waiting especially for the food we ordered. I ordered ayran, it was beautiful and made fresh, well priced for the amount of food we orderes. Honestly no complaints absolutely great place to come and highly recommend.
