Loved it! The flavours conjured up were inspired. I mean a first course called Big Mac. And it tasted just like a Big Mac with a mix of the cheese, mayo, gherkin and tomato flavours with an amazing beef tartare. Wow. Every course was incredible. Go.

Decided to treat ourselves here for our anniversary and Cheals definitely didnt disappoint! From the pleasant decor and attentive service to the incredible food. We were excited when we found out they catered for a halal menu (which you have to enquire about 48hrs in advance). We got served lamb rack for our mains, which was cooked to perfection. We both thoroughly enjoyed the sourdough bread and rosemary buns with butter which were melt in your mouth, divine🤩 Hats off to the chef! We finished off with some lovely desserts and a little chocolatey surprise 🥰 Definitely would like to try the tasting menu next time!

Really enjoyed the dining experience here. Went for the winter set menu. Delicious . Each course was brought out with a brief description from server, presented beautifully and prepared skillfully. I enjoyed the quail starter, followed by pork main, and the indulgent chocolate mousse topped with sorbet. Look forward to a return visit

Previously visited Cheals when based in Henley-in-Arden. This was our first time at their new location in Knowle and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is much more spacious now and the interior tastefully decorated. So, first impressions were great. Our waiter gave a warm welcome and expertly guided us through the menu and wine list. A very capable front of house team. My wife and I opted for the a la carte lunch menu and with each course our enthusiasm for the next grew. The hardest thing is deciding between all the tempting choices on offer, so if your budget stretches to it, I'd go for the tasting menu for a real treat. The highlight for us both was the dessert course. What a selection of moreish puddings skillfully prepared. Hats off to their patisserie chef. We chose Cheals for our second wedding anniversary and were delighted we did. We'll definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend it to others too.

We really enjoyed our evening out here. Everything was 5*. Everything from the welcome, to the service from the waiting staff. The quality and taste of the food was fantastic. The drinks selection was very good. The overall vibe in the restaurant was a nice buzz for a Saturday evening, but got even better once the DJ started playing on the decks. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

This is a well-known steakhouse across the UK, known for its great taste and good value for money. For starters, I ordered the crispy chicken wings and crispy squid. The wings had a unique, appetizing flavor at first bite, but they got a bit salty after a few. The crispy squid looked overcooked but actually had a nice texture, and I preferred it to the wings. I highly recommend their house-cut tomahawk steak. It’s thick-cut with rich, juicy, and tender meat. The outside has a slight char, while the inside remains soft and flavorful. Each bite delivers a delicious, savory taste with the perfect amount of fat and a hint of smokiness. I personally loved it. The house cut comes with two sides—I chose the truffle fries and fried broccoli, both of which were excellent and, in my opinion, even better than the starters.

I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. I tried their Smoked ribs & brisket, Pulled brisket loaded fries, Chicken tenders, and Smash burger—and every bite was nothing short of phenomenal. The brisket was the standout for me—tender, juicy, and packed with rich smoky flavour, arguably the best I’ve had anywhere. The pulled brisket loaded fries was also impressive, with a deep, melt-in-your-mouth texture that left me wanting more. Their chicken tenders were gently crisp on the outside but incredibly tender inside, and the smash burger was an absolute delight—well-seasoned, juicy, and stacked with flavor. What sets Holy Smokes apart is not just the quality of the food but the passion behind it. The attention to detail in the 10-hour smoking process and the perfect balance of flavours made me hooked. Absolutely top notch smokehouse. The best I have ever been to (and I've been to a few including in US). The meat was all so juicy and melt in your mouth. Specially recommend the ribs, they were to die for. The brisket was amazing too. To my absolute surprise the chicken tenders were so soft and juicy. Only got them as they come with the platter but man was i surprised. Staff were very nice and customer service excellent. If you want authentic texan bbq then holy smokes is defo the spot. One of the rare times when the actual place outdone the hype. Defo worth a visit. 10/10 all round. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Awesome experience, friendly staff, delicious food and nice atmosphere. We were first a bit concerned with regards to review pics where it seemed meat is undone but still wanted to go there. We raised this concern to one of the members of staff (Adnan) and he was so convincing that we couldn’t resist leaving our concerns behind and give it a try. Whilst eating, we said it over and again that we are glad we tried this. Such a delicious, mouth watering experience. The meat was so tender that you don’t even have to chew it. Awesome, no words to describe. We ordered burgers in addition to Short Ribs and Brisket slices because of fear that it might not go well, had we known the taste beforehand we would have ordered Brisket loaded fries instead… Sorry for the pictures, they are after almost gone everything to plates 🤭 it was so yummy that we forgot about taking pics. We went there from Peterborough and it was worth the travel and even more. Definitely recommend

had dinner at Baloci Restaurant recently, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was cozy and inviting. My second time visiting Baloci and the service was incredible. Our Waiter Flo was very helpful and informative in regards to the Menu. I have a gluten intolerance and they catered to my needs. The gluten free sandwiches and desserts were nice, however, the scones were not very nice. They completely crumbled and there was no sugar in the scone so it tasted more like a savoury item. I would always recommend Baloci as the service is 10/10 and the food is delicious.

Stayed here for one night, glad we did. Lovely rooms, all staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was fabulous, had the. Tasting menu with wine flight and it was well worth it, every single dish was incredibly tasty, the best was the butter chicken by a country mile!

10/10 minus nothing. Delicious menu, can’t even fault anything. Seasoning and serving size was top notch, delicious drinks, and lovely customer service. I wish I knew this place sooner. My favourite food on the menu was rice and peas and mutton curry. Oh my gosh, tasted like heaven. Now that I have discovered this gem, they should expect me every weekend 😂.

Great tasting food, nice, big portions, a clear allergen list, good atmosphere, an excellent choice we made out of all the other places around Ladypool rd. Our visit to Afrikana Birmingham was truly exceptional. The culinary offerings were outstanding, featuring a generous platter that we supplemented with additional chops and selected sides. We also opted for an upgrade on our fries. The portion sizes were more than ample, comfortably satisfying our group of five. The staff's hospitality was particularly noteworthy. We went here to have dinner on our Anniversary and it was a very nice experience. The restaurant is very clean and well kept, the food is chefs kiss, reminded me of my days in Dubai. Everything is so delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The two gentlemen working here are very hardworking and make the food with care and provide a great service. We had so many different things and our bill was only £39, will visit again with friends and try more dishes.

I have come here number of times and always enjoy the food,on this occasion I took my mom and daughter and they really likes the food too. Their is a bit of a wait but worth waiting as the food is fresh. Only downfall is the place is cold ,you cant take jacket off too cold. We went here after seeing the reviews and they did not disappoint. We ordered a mezze platter which was tasty and the sea bass which was the most flavourful fish I have had in Birmingham. Surprisingly the food was well seasoned, spicy. The fries were fresh potato’s with the skins on and seasoned with a lovely spice. The portion sizes were generous . However we were let down with the hot drinks as they had no adeni tea or chai latte that day. The Kunafah was average, it could not compare to Mr Knafah or the other knafah place on Coventry road. It didn’t have that crunch or that stretchy cheese it also seemed a little dry not enough syrup. The mochas were lovely though. Overall though one of the best Arab food places in Birmingham as the food was very well seasoned, cooked fresh and generous portion sizes.

Family friendly restaurant. Excellent service, great ambience and nice decor. We booked a table for 10 and had the Sunday Chicken/Lamb roast. We were given a delicious tasting soup, followed by a healthy portion of our chosen roast. We all loved it and will be going back. Highly recommended.

I heard a lot of positive things about this place so I had to try it out. The opening times are a bit unusual but once you go there, you won't be disappointed. The place is well designed, clean and has a warm friendly atmosphere. The owner, Idrees, is hands on and very welcoming and friendly. He certainly made me feel comfortable. We booked a table for 20 and ate everything he had to offer! The meat, kebabs, steaks, rice and drinks were all delicious and full of flavour. The desserts and tea at the end were really nice. The cakes had a home style bake feel to it. Amazing! The waitresses were very friendly and hospitable. If you like Arab style cuisines, then this is a place to try. I'll definitely go back again.

I ordered the Lamb roast dinner this evening for collection. It was 10/10 absolutely delicious! Nice and warm when collected, very big portion size , infact I have more than half left over and slumped back on the sofa in a food coma 🤣, lamb was very soft and tender each price of food was cooked to perfection bursting with flavour ! Well worth it , gravy could be a little more.

Went for the Sunday lunch a few Sundays ago and forgot to review until I saw the photo I took of the food in my camera roll today! From the minute we walked in it felt like such a lovely, homely vibe with a very classy looking aesthetic. The chef greeted us with salaam and made us feel very welcomed. Got the Sunday roast, I went for salmon and the portion size was great and the taste was so lovely Allahuma barik! We also got a complementary soup which was also very good! Deffo plan to go back on a weekday to try some of the weekday menu.

I finally tried Mr. T’s! It’s a lot like the smash burger spots in London but gives you more for your money. The chicken burger was huge, really tasty, and nice and juicy. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside – perfect! They have a prayer and wash area inside the restaurant. Please note: it’s very hard to find parking.
