What a lovely gem. The husband wife running the shop were really hospitable the food was great fresh fish battered made to order. They are one of the few places to do battered chips which was lovely. Finish it off with a nice cup of latte. 3 small fish and chips, curry sauce, couple coffees £23.. will definitely visit again when I'm in black heath

Been after a decent local chippy for a while now, think I've found it with this place. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the shop inside is clean with a big seating area. Had kebab chips and drink to eat in, the chips are amazing, well cooked all decent big chips and not over battered, the meat was tasty and fresh. 10/10 no issue's at all the wife had fish and chips and said it was beautiful, so we will definitely be back again.

One of Blackheaths institutions. Always a decent coffee and the cakes are superb. Only minor issue has been twice I've sat towards the back and my order has been claimed by someone at the front. Would definitely recommend sitting near the front. Breakfast wise it's not top drawer but is a good un. Hash browns and shrivelled up sausage on this occasion. Lovely scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms and bread though. Service is usually very friendly and a superb community asset. Great there's newspapers for customers to read also!

Not so hidden gem in the middle of Blackheath. It's a wonderful little cafe that my partner and I return to time and again, and we have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the hot beverages are lovely. Staff are always friendly and accommodating!

A lovely little traditional cafe with friendly and speedy service for both eat in and takeaway. Only downside is sometimes cheap ingredients are used (E.G packaged sandwich meat instead of fresh grilled chicken breast) but nevertheless a good staple stop in Blackheath. Great coffee.

Always on the look out for somewhere decent to go and what a find! Service was good, place was cozy everyone in there seemed relaxed which is a massive positive. Everything I asked did not seem a bother to them. Meals were a good size and quality was very good. Myself I'm not too keen on massive onion rings just don't think they taste as good as the smaller ones but they were the best large onion rings I have tried will give them that! Beans instead of peas on the mixed grill was a nice touch and again very tasty (wonder if you could swap to peas if requested for next time🤔) The cheesecake although salted caramel is also not my favorite prefer lemon or Oreo, it was still to die for really shocked me! I can find no real reason why I would not return or why I would not recommend to others. They do so many things right! Need to pop back when not driving to sample there beers didn't really see what ales they have on offer so can not comment but if as good as there food should be no issues at all. Bell & bear inn have already raised the bar very high for 2024, well done to all who work there.

Lovely pub, serving good classic pub food. Reasonably priced, staff were very pleasant. Has extensive outdoor seating and nice views.

We booked a table for 9 people friends birthday..we had a lovely night..meals were nice. Staff very friendly. Lovely old pub good atmosphere. Definitely recommend it will definitely be going again.

This pub has always been really good for food. We hadn't been for quite a while, however the 2 young serving staff on a Friday afternoon at 4.00 PM really deserve some recognition. I've had worse service at venues costing 3 times as much. Polite, attentive, helpful yet still able to have a laugh with the locals and manage a bar and restaurant very effectively. I hope management recognize their abilities in their role.

Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere. One year today we were all in the deep shit but now we are reformed men with a bright future ahead. This chippy chips experience brings back those bad memories but in a good way. Will definitely be coming again. The staff and service is absolutely fantastic can’t ask for any better. Food is unbeatable, perfect chippy chips topped with delightful curry sauce. Couldn’t ask for any better 🤩

Lamb Claypot, Egg Fried Rice, and Gralic Naan. The wife has Chicken Pakora Starter. Food is absolutely amazing. Curry has so much flavour and have to say the best curry I've tasted. Not just a one off as we visit often, and the food is always very, very good. Mixed grills are good, too. And the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. It's hard to beat this place, and the staff. I work away and look forward to getting home to eat and drink here. Good beer also

The outside of this place doesn't quite do it justice - it's a really lovely and modern pub inside. They have a bar area with games and sports and also an eating area which is separate. Staff were incredibly accommodating to our very large party and were very attentive. It's a lovely place. The food was OK...not the most tasty curry ever, but I suppose it's not an actual curry house and so can't be too harsh. Also, the prices were amazing! Felt like I'd gone back in time when paying as it really was great great value for money. All in all, if you are hoping to have a tasty and authentic curry, this isn't the place. But if you are after some pub grub in a lovely bar for reasonable prices, this is perfect!

Fancied a lunchtime curry and glad we stopped off for the first time at The Rowley. Nice place, staff and food. The biryani was superb and a nice addition to excellent Chicken Tikka and wings. Free poppadoms were a bonus too and look forward to visiting again. Updated August 24. Returned monthly since and The Rowley has always been good value and food. Still free poppadoms! Clay pot chicken is now my favourite order. Plenty of creamy sauce to mop up with naan.

Great local bar and grill. Came here Sunday for some food, drinks and to watch the footie. Ordered some food to pick at at the table: Paneer pakora Chilli mushrooms Chicken tikka wrap Chips Fries Kids onion rings and chips Poppadoms Food is good value for money and service is quick. Always a nice relaxed atmosphere with lots of space. Also really enjoy it here in the summer when we can sit outside.

My first time here last night, I had the mixed grill with rice, salad & Turkish bread, (£12.50) cooked freshly to order 👌 so there is a short wait time and it does get busy at times, but the staff work well to get your order sorted asap. it's well worth the wait. Food is amazing, smells & tastes so good. Slightly higher prices than the normal Turkish takeaway's but quality of food outweighs this. Polite & welcome staff. I highly recommend trying it.

First time ordering kebab north of London and you did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful. Fresh and hot from the oven in delivery. I am a regular at my local kebab shop down south and you have totally smashed them out of the water! Hands down the Best momos I’ve had so far!!! And the prices are unbelievable. Momo, chowmein , biryani and fries can’t pick which tasted the best!!! Definitely going back again n again! Only thing is the place is quite small and if they continue making such great food it’s definitely a good idea to expand the sitting area!!!

A Hidden Gem for Momo Lovers – Must Visit! If you're a fan of momos, you absolutely can't miss Taste of Himalayan. Hands down, the best momos I've had in the West Midlands – possibly even in the UK. The restaurant is small, so booking ahead is highly recommended, or be prepared to wait for a table. Despite its size, the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it great value for money. Everything on the menu is halal, and the restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol, which is perfect for those with dietary preferences. There’s convenient parking right in front of the shop as well as in nearby side streets. Highly recommend giving it a visit, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
