Upon entering this charming café, I was greeted with a warm and genuine welcome from the attentive staff, setting a positive tone for the visit. The interior’s design exudes a blend of modern elegance and cozy comfort, creating an inviting atmosphere that’s both visually appealing and relaxing. Perusing the menu, I opted for the slow-cooked beef stew, accompanied by steamed rice and a side of spring rolls. The stew was a triumph, its rich, hearty flavors melding seamlessly with tender chunks of beef, each bite offering a comforting depth that suggested careful preparation. The spring rolls, crisp and golden, delivered a satisfying crunch and a burst of fresh flavors that complemented the meal beautifully. Following the main course, I indulged in an iced coffee paired with a pistachio-flavored circular croissant. The croissant’s delicate layers were buttery and flaky, with the pistachio adding a subtle, nutty sweetness that elevated the pastry to something truly memorable. This is a great addition to the high street and we were not disappointed. Upon arrival the place was not too busy and we were seated very quickly which is always a bonus. The menu was not over complicated and the choices were varied. We opted for the salt & pepper squid and spring rolls for starters. The squid was fresh and soft and the springs rolls were devoured with ease. For mains we had the chicken pho, beef pho, slow cooked beef stew and beef vietnamese coconut curry. The pho was very filling and the taste was on point. The slow cooked beef was amazing and so soft that I would try this again. The curry was also very tasty. All in all it was good experience and have no issues in coming back again. The staff are also very friendly. Keep up the good work guys!!

Modern setting with good ambience. Delicious food with impeccable service. We had delicious garlic and chilli wings with summer rolls that were light and refreshing. Then mains was a chicken coconut curry and a fragrant beef Phò. Both delicious and filling!! Finished off with a Carrot cake 😋 Definitely coming again.

A little Cousy gem! Wanted brunch like food on our way home, while looking for chai this little gem came up on my search 🔍 we went there and I got my chai but also got my vegan version of no bread burger, which is what exactly I wanted! Lovely presentation and flavourful food 🥘 🙏

Nice small cafe in Bearwood. Ordered the Egg Royale which consisted of smoked salmon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on sourdough bread. Bit on the pricey side but the presentation was excellent and food was 10/10. Eggs were cooked to perfection with a lovely runny yolk. Sauce complimented the salmon extremely well and sourdough bread was toasted just right. Loved the little extras like the radishes and greens on top. Also ordered a side of spicy beans which tastes great and goes with any dish.

LOVE this café! Myself and my partner moved to the area a year ago and have constantly come back to this café, we love it. We're both veggie and there's a fab range of veggie options which are all super tasty. Great savoury and sweet options, particularly love the pistachio pancakes and french toast. Staff are really lovely too and it's always a nice vibe.

Came across this hidden gem quite unexpectedly whilst house hunting in Bearwood accompanied with my aunt and brother. Not strictly speaking a restaurant but more a cafe/eatery. Weather was nice so we sat out front and it felt like al fresco dining in your favourite uncle's garden. Our lunches were yummy and freshly prepared. The service and meals were homely. Would definitely recommend and return.

We had a really great, tasty lunch thst was hand-made and everything was fantastic, great prices, good meal, and great service. Mr Antonios was a lovely host and ran the show with a lot of energy, and makes the place very welcoming to everyone. We will definitely come back. It says on the door that it can be open until 9pm if people ahead of time.

A charming and unassuming gem of a place! Amazing food and such lovely hospitality :) Warm and friendly, a really nice cosy cafe feel, and on a quiet road. We even bought some more back off the menu which is frozen and I can't wait to try! Not from near this area, was my first time but will hopefully visit again soon, for this place alone

Authentic,quaint,excellent friendly service. As this was our first visit and having never eaten polish food before, it was an exciting experience. We decided to try all polish food ,the friendly owner/ waiter helped us choose. The food was delicious and different from our usual choice. Can’t fault it ,helpings very large ! A most enjoyable and friendly evening. I’m keen to return and try the polish breakfast.

We have been regulars at Old Dresser Cafe in the last 2 years. It's definitely a hidden treasure outside of Birmingham city centre! The authentic Polish food is what we love most! Very generous portion and very friendly service! We also love their deco! Very quirky! In short, we loved it every time!

We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast and this place had really good reviews. I can honestly say that this is the best veggie breakfast and the Mrs said the best meat breakfast we have had in a very long time. It was cooked to perfection and the herbed beans were absolutely stunning. We had polish honey mustard that really added to the experience. The owner is the perfect host and was so attentive and funny. Next time we are in Birmingham this is definitely being visited again.

Not much to look at from the outside but the friendly welcome and amazing food definitely make up for that! Very generous portions of very decent food! We'd only popped in for a light lunch and could have shared one dish to be honest. In addition to the food we also had brown sugar bubble milk tea which also hit the spot - actually not too sweet! We also received complementary green tea which was very refreshing. Will definitely return again!

This place is amazing!! We went today for some lunch and were blown away! The food is delicious! You get free green tea with your order, which is a nice touch. We had a stir fry noodle dish, dumpling soup, and some bubble tea. The portions are big!!! We could have easily shared a dish between us! The inside is small and cute! Feels like eateries I have been in when I've visited Asia, which I felt was nice as some nostalgia there! Service is welcoming and friendly! Highly recommended!!

My sister took me to this place and the food was delicious. It was made fresh so there was a little bit of a way which they tell you about but so worth it because it was so tasty. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend you do not leave this place without trying the side potatoes and dessert doughnuts because they are perfection.

A local favourite’s with authentic mexican food, there’s even a sombrero in the house, the owners really put in effort in its decoration. Food was great and filling, just slightly overcooked with the bisteca. P.S. The hot sauce is a must-try, great for dares!

Lovely little spot with nice decorations, vibes and very warm service. Most importantly the food was fantastic. Some of the best Mexican I have had. My friend who was with me said it was just as good as the food he had had in Mexico which comes as no surprise as the food is as it says, authentic and delicious! I love local independent restaurants and have always preferred them food wise, and it’s important to support them and I care about this especially as an independent small business owner. Had heard about La Mexicana for a while and it really didn’t disappoint, would highly reccomend and have done already!

Great food, this was a nice to stumble across! Quirky inside, I love the open view kitchen at the back - really gives that home / family feeling. Food was good but I may have ordered wrong! The fried chicken tacos felt a bit plain. My husband’s tacos were nice but something was still missing! Lovely beans and rice though! Think maybe we should have gone for another dish because the starters were incredible! The shrimps and chorizo just wow! Extremely delicious! Nachos were good and authentic! The atmosphere is buzzing, felt a bit crowded at times but this gives it that authentic feel! Good value for money! Service was really good - lovely staff and so friendly - they honestly are what makes this place great! Shout out to the Jarritos so so good!

First time visiting this cafe, despite walking past it a million times since it opened! And what a delight it is. A great selection of drinks and cakes on offer, and the service was wonderful. I ordered the milk cake which was suggested by the lady serving, as it is refrigerated and not on display. It was delicious, along with the hot chocolate. There’s attention to detail in the presentation of food and I will be back to taste the other dishes for sure.

Lovely little gem in Bearwood! Staff are super friendly, the pistachio cookie served warm was a pleasant surprise and the milk cake was light and tasty. The newspaper style menu is a nice touch. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely revisit.

Our first visit to tropea and we will definitely be back! The food was incredible, the burrata and mussels were particularly amazing, as well as the tiramisu. The atmosphere is lovely in there and the servers are all so knowledgeable and attentive, the service from Asher was particularly great! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, it isn’t cheap but definitely worth it for a treat or special occasion

Second time visiting this restaurant and 1st time after the refurb. The refurb is definitely made the whole experience much better as there is so much more room. You can see from the picture we were sat in a new booth which was nice. The food like the 1st time was very nice, the honest review is that it all tastes fresh. Waiters are very helpful to advise how many dishes to get and which dishes are popular. There was even a special dish that we ordered that was not on the menu. Trying to find parking can be an issue. There are vegetarian options however the menu does not state which are therefore you need to ask, it would be ideal if the menu had the (v) or (vg) next to the dish.

The quality of the food/ingredients is amazing. Even seemingly “simple” dishes are just bursting with flavour. The service is friendly and attentive, but relaxed and the new refurb is absolutely stunning. Ordered slightly too much and no regrets! Had the the burrata, arrancina, gnocchi and broccoli&pumpkin. Stunning all round.

Staff are great here and they were really good at fitting us in last minute for our wedding anniversary. Lovely personal touches with a special anniversary message on the menu & a personalized dessert. Food was amazing, especially the pasta dishes (we had the duck & ravioli). We will definitely be back and look forward to trying more dishes on the menu next time!
