The pub is lovely and spacious, tastefully made in a traditional British style. The beer garden is very nice, spacious car park. Absolutely lovely staff, friendly, helpful and charming. The Sunday roast was absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend to try! The food was sooo delicious, we even forgot to take photos:)) The atmosphere is lovely, it's lively but also quite, people are respectful of each other and sitting is spaced out, so you have some privacy. We enjoyed it very much and will come again!

Review for The Woodman Inn Pub I recently visited The Woodman Pub for their carvery, and I can confidently say it was absolutely amazing! The selection of meats was perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was outstanding, with the staff being polite, attentive, and always available without being overbearing. They really made us feel welcome and taken care of. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and inviting – the perfect place for a relaxing meal. It felt like home away from home. I highly recommend The Woodman Pub to anyone looking for excellent food, fantastic service, and a welcoming vibe. A 10/10 experience!

Excellent for walking groups. We booked in advance, providing our arrival time (well before the official opening time) to commence our circular walk and our estimated return time to have our meal. We each ordered our meals on our arrival and set off on our walk. The meals were on the table not long after our return. Surprisingly, few restaurants seem to be able to achieve this.

After a 4 mile walk round North Mymms wood, a friend and I visited the Inn for lunch today (14/5/25). We were made to feel welcome from the start and quickly ordered ham, eggs & chips each. This was superb, with plenty of ham and two freshly cooked eggs, nice chips and side salad. My friend then had Woodman mess (like Eton mess!) for dessert whilst I had the apple pie & cream. Again, both delicious. My pie was bulging with fruit and swimming in cream. And to top it all off, our server was, like me, a big ABBA fan. The subject came up as an ABBA song was played during our lunch! A great meal out for us both. We would certainly visit again.

Traditional old style pub. Good size car park and cycle racks for cyclists that need to rehydrate. Good choice of food at reasonable prices, quite out of season due to remote location. Nice walks close by and good cycle routes. Bar staff friendly and efficient. The last of 3 historic pubs that used to be within 100 yards of each other. Must be supported and preserved.
