We enlisted Emily's service as The Reading Doctor to help our 8 year old with reading and spelling. School had noticed that they needed some extra support, and so, alongside doing more at home, we found Emily - and we are so glad we did! Emily took time to listen to what we needed, and develop an individual plan for our child. The reading room in her garden is cozy, warm, and made for learning and fun. Our child particularly enjoyed the games inbetween tasks, too. Emily's calm, patient and caring manner is ideal to help children along with reading and spelling, and she instils confidence and self-belief too. We started with Emily in November last year, and are finishing now in February. This is earlier than anticipated because our child has gone up to the required level at school and is a confident, happy reader! Thank you, Emily!

My daughter missed out on lots of school through covid and was falling behind, she had anxiety about any after school activities but Emily is so caring, softly spoken she really connected with Jessica and now Jessica would prefer learning with Emily then going to school.
