Debbie McCann tutored me A-Level Biology a couple of years ago, I found her really helpful, she used fantastic methods to help me remember facts. Debbie McCann tutored my son for A-Level Chemistry a few years ago and helped him improve from a ‘D’ grade in his mock exam to a ‘B’ . I cannot recommend Debbie enough! Debbie tutored by daughter for GCSE Chemistry initially and then helped with Biology and Physics topics too. Debbie is extremely organised, knowledgable and so lovely to chat to. My daughter got on with Debbie from the initial lesson and looked forward to their sessions. They worked out a plan together each week which was perfect. My daughter went from hating Chemistry to it being her favoured science subject. Her confidence increased so much after each session. My son has been attending Explore Learning Walton for 2 years to prepare for Grannar school. The staff are incredible and they have helped my son immensely. Both of my children have attended Explore and have progressed in their learning. The 11+ group was really supportive, and enabled both of them to successfully gain places in their schools of choice. They covered a range of topics, interview techniques and a good balance of online and paper based assessments to ensure they were prepared. The staff are always positive and welcoming creating a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it for any children in need of a boost in their learning or wanting to sit the 11+.

Komal is so lovely with the kids and really tailors the tasks to each individual child. My 8yr old and 10yr old have improved not only in their abilities but also their attitudes to learning. Thanks Komal 😀

My son really struggles with Maths so I am very happy that he really enjoys attending his sessions with Komal. My son has been going to tuition over there for the past 3 years and he has massively increased his passion for study. I highly recommend explore learning( especially the one in Staines). Also, The manager, named Janine, is very empathetic towards the students, extremely hard-working and a generous person. In conclusion, I would suggest explore learning in Staines because, if you need help with: GCSE, 11 plus, or normal tuition. You may want to send your child there, as it is an awarding winning tuition after all.

Karen is amazing with kids, she helped my daughter from disliking learning and not concentrating to being very confident in Maths and Reading. my daughter is now a reading star in her class and loving her new found confidence. Thanks to Karen and her team. They are very supportive of the kids and gently take them through their learning journey. My daughter looks forward to Kumon every Saturday.

Our son has done Kumon with Karen for the last 2 years and it has really helped stretching his math skills and confidence as he's now heading to GCSE years. Karen is kind and supportive and engages well with the kids.

All three of my children have been attending the Ashford (Middlesex) Kumon centre studying maths since the age of five. From the start I have seen a noticeable improvement not only in their confidence but also their work ethics. Kumon has taught them how to work independently without me, as a parent having to continually remind them to do homework. It has has provided them a strong foundation for maths, putting all three of them in top sets, not only in maths but in all their academic subjects. Our eldest son has gone on to study A’ levels in maths and Further maths as a direct result from the skills and disciplines Kumon provided him from a young age. Their instructor, Radhika has been one of the most dedicated, hard working individuals I have ever come across. She kept her centre running throughout Covid, going out of her way to personally dropping off papers to each of her students door-to-door. She even kept the centre open for her students to work in a safe environment when the building experienced flooding. She genuinely and sincerely cares about each and every one of her students success and well-being. Nurturing the best out of each child in achieving their best. Radhika allows the children to work at their own pace, providing individual support to build your child’s confidence. She has continued that support via social media, phone calls and text messages for my children, even when she’s not in class or when centre has been closed. Radhika has always provided my children the opportunity to come into the centre and ask questions at anytime during opening hours, and has also given them their first opportunities at work experience. Providing them training on the reception desk, marking papers, recording data, supporting others in their work, all whilst earning their first wage. As parents, we have seen the benefits of how Radhika’s centre has helped not only our children’s mental math ability but also the disciplines it teaches on so many other levels. I am so grateful to Radhika and her team for running such a professional and hardworking centre and what she has achieved so far. So, if you’re new to Kumon or thinking about enrolling your child in the Ashford Centre, then let me tell you that, Kumon can be challenging at first and somewhat repetitive until you understand the concept but I can honestly say, it will be one of the most beneficial and rewarding things you can do for your child in the long run. You just need patience and to stick with it.

Radhika and the whole teaching staff at Kumon Ashford, Middx have been extremely supportive to our children’s education and progress in both Maths and English. Radika’s approach is one which our children and ourselves enjoy and look forward to every week, providing a personalised approach in a friendly manner. My son has been attending kumon for many years and his performance and understanding of maths has rocketed. The format with the daily worksheets has helped him consolidate his understanding of particular topics. Generally each homework doesn’t take too long so it doesn’t get boring but the regularity means he retains the info better. When there are areas he’s struggling in Radhika and her team provide immediate support , even in days when he doesn’t attend the once weekly sessions. Radhika has been so encouraging and supportive to my son which has really helped improve his maths hugely and maintain this high level over the years .
