I go to Natters for a filter coffee and a cake every day and have done so for many years. The best ''Guest' filter coffee is precision made at the table, the cakes (my favourite are Tiffins) are Vegan. The coffee and all their cakes are excellent. The young staff are friendly, kind and hard working. When it's very busy there can be a delay but it's worth the wait. The best place for coffee in the area.

The food was amazing and staff were great, they accommodated to my dietary needs without hesitation(which are not the easiest to accommodate to!). The food tasted great and the service was top notch. Not forgetting this cafe makes the best coffee I’ve ever had and the staff are always happy to help if you’re not sure what to choose from the menu. Great experience 10/10

Adorable cafe with inside and outdoor seating. I saw on the menu they do a pre-book afternoon tea as well! The loose leaf jasmine tea was a bit strong, but the pot was a very nice piece and my avocado toast was the delish. They compensated for our group of 6 and we all paid separately very easily!

Superb breakfasts and coffee, we had dirty breakfast fries, half English, pancakes and eggs benedict. Everyone loved their food, really friendly service and great atmosphere. We will be back to try the rest of the menu 😋

Had been meaning to visit for a while but this morning saw my first visit. It will not be my last. Excellent filter coffee and Eggs Benedict. Great friendly service. What a perfect way to start a Tuesday!!

Such a great coffee shop. My husband is a coffee snob and highly recommends the authentic and variety of coffee here. The people were very friendly as well. Only lost a star because there really isn't any seating (I understand it is limited to their space) but great idea to have two ordering stations to keep the shop from overcrowding. Wish there was one closer to us!

There’s a charming café in my area that I’ve been visiting for several years now, and every time I go, it brings me so much joy. It’s not just a place to enjoy a good cup of coffee; it’s a space where friendships are made and cherished moments with loved ones take shape. They offer a small selection of delicious snacks—simple yet incredibly tasty. As for the coffee, I always like mine prepared a little differently than most, and they never fail to deliver an amazing taste every time. What truly makes this café special is the friendly and welcoming team. Today, in particular, I was impressed by Bogdan, a kind Ukrainian barista who has been working here for a while. His warm service and attention to detail finally inspired me to leave a well-deserved positive review and write a few kind words about this wonderful place. Amazing little hole in the wall. Tasty coffee but it’s their incredible toasted sandwiches that stole the show. I would go as far as to say… best toastie I’ve ever had! (P.S. my pic does it zero justice.)

We had a great experience here for breakfast. The BBQ beans and avocado on toasts options were tasty and filling, the coffee was flavourful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a 9 month old with us and they helped by serving us at the table and interacting with our baby. The pantry items to buy might be a bit on the pricey side, but they look to not include and preservatives or E numbers. Overall we would come here again!

Perran rates pastries: Roost Godalming Coffee: 4/5 - Great foam and great tasting coffee. Nothing special but would definitely go back again to try more! Pastry: 5/5 - There were some nerves about the carrot cake due to the price and hoping it would be good but it really did not disappoint. Best carrot cake I’ve had in a very long time. The new standard of carrot cake. It was moist, flavoursome and a great portion! Spennyness: 4/5 - £2.50 for an espresso which is good for British prices and £3.30 for a flat white which isn’t awful but the carrot cake was £4 and it was really good so you didn’t mind too much but it isn’t cheap! Overall I’d definitely go back. All the staff were happy, accommodating and friendly!

A nice little garden at the back, perfect over the hot weekend - it wasn’t very busy. Coffee and the smoothie arrived quite quickly, food took ages. Avo on toast was delicious, can’t say the same about the taco salad.

The staff were lovely, and the food was excellent. We had drinks and cakes and we were delighted to see gluten free options available (AND clearly marked!). Drinks were also very nice. They told us this is a seasonal cafe so may be shut in winter I think so check if you have your heart set on it but I will definitely come again. (We have stopped going to national trust because we got fed up of poor food in recent years so I'm glad they have a better offering here!)

It is open for the 2024 season. This cafe is at the quieter end of the gardens but can still get busy at the weekends and on sunny days. It may look busy on the front terrace but there is seating on a lower terrace on the left side. A lovely spot to enjoy a light meal, drinks and conversation.

Absolutely first class scones and cakes - best scones I have ever bought! In the wonderful weather it was a pleasure eating out. Shame about the take-away staff stopping service as they were falling behind with service indoors and treating customers as a nuisance…telling them it was going to take ages and not to ask for progress after waiting patiently for 10 minutes….twice!

We had a lovely Welsh Rarebit for lunch and I requested a slice of cheese and onion quiche to take away. Both were wonderful and it was nice they provided a salad and coleslaw with the takeaway quiche. Friendly staff too.

We only used the cafe and toilets as we were walking on Saturday. It was busy so had to be outside in the rare sunshine we all had a sandwich and coffee. On of the group said her hummus and veg sandwich on granary, “was the best sandwich out ever “ !! My sandwich and coffee was delicious too! The service for takeaway was fast. Thank you

I'm not a regular here (or to any similar place) but they've not been phased by my gluten free requirements and treated me as though I matter. They serve an excellent bacon bap (or sandwich). Their coffee is excellent: there's nowhere to hide with a black Americano! I love the atmosphere here.

Great coffee spot to have in Godalming! I regularly come here to do some laptop admin and enjoy a lovely coffee that is always expertly made by the barista. It’s also a good place to come for brunch/lunch as the selection is large! I particularly like the variety of specials that change with the seasons and that it is a very dog friendly place! The staff are always super friendly, and for a chain, it’s lovely to have regular baristas that remembers you. My only ask would be that there was an option to add a tip via the card machine, currently only cash tips are accepted.

I've never understood why Eliza's was closed on Sundays so it was great to find that the very friendly new team are there for us! Delicious toasties and good coffee represented great value for money, so it would be great to see more people (esp groups of cyclists like us) making the place busy

I tend not to leave reviews but The Coffee Can at Eliza's, next to Secrets Farm Shop, has absolutely nailed it! The new look is modern, fresh, and a massive upgrade from the old-fashioned tea room vibe—which, let’s be honest, made me feel 30 years older than I am. Now, it’s stylish, welcoming, and the kind of place you actually want to spend time in. And the food? This Breakfast Bagel Stack is an absolute masterpiece. The combination of crispy bacon, juicy sausage, fresh tomato, and that beautifully earthy mushroom all sandwiched between a lovely soft bagel is just next level. Every bite is packed with flavour, and the presentation is spot on—definitely a meal worth waking up for. I travel a lot and have been to countless coffee spots over the years, but I can honestly say this is one of the most friendly and welcoming places I’ve come across. The new menu is exciting, the coffee is top-notch, and the whole experience is just brilliant. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.

A popular cafe which offers takeaway and eat in. We had sandwiches and tea. The sandwiches were made to order, with plenty of filling 😋. My husband used the facilities, he said was clean, but downstairs. I'm not sure if there's a disabled toilet that is on the same level as the cafe. Staff were polite, and we didn't have to wait long to be served. We called in at lunchtime.

Great coffee and very quick and friendly service. Got dropped off here by a friend to then catch a train from just around the country. Felt very welcomed by conter staff . Lovely simple Bacon sandwich freshly cooked. This place is immaculate! Great place for breakfast before getting on the train.
