The Best Cafes in Collier Street, Kent, United Kingdom (2025)

My husband and I were sleep deprived, we were so hungry and our two young children were kicking off…the owners couldn’t have been kinder and our New York sandwich was delicious. The croissant they made our children had a heart made out of cucumbers on the side which nearly made me cry which goes to show how burned out we were but how grateful we were too. It really is the small things that go a long way and I highly recommend Bojangles. The coffee was really nice with a decent foam. Even after my toddler having a meltdown, I don’t feel too embarrassed to go back which speaks volumes.

I had a super Breakfast Bagel. It was filled with bacon,egg and cheese,not the sliced plastic stuff either, and a pot of tea. My friend had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on sourdough. We both made Mmmm noises as we appreciated the gorgeous breakfast. Very welcoming staff,but I understand it's best to book as it's become so popular. I'd give it 10/10 Well done Bojangles 👍🏻

Really lovley friendly people, dog friendly, and there's a nice little garden out back to sit in! I definitely recommend the fish finger sandwich! :)

Been here a few times. Really good coffee, cakes, food and a good selection of proper teas. Always a warm greeting from the staff, all very happy and friendly. Dog friendly. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend 👌

Lovely, modern cafe with very friendly staff :) We had a yummy breakfast with really nice fresh bread. Some fun drinks including lotus biscuit latte and yummy smoothie! We even bought some cake to take home as it looked so delicious. Will definitely be back again!

We had a birthday afternoon tea at the cafe for my daughter and 10 of her friends. Olga sat down with me to plan the menu, the food was great and kids were happy.. we had the upstairs to ourselves after the cafe was closed and the food was good and reasonably priced. We also did this 3 years ago and I’m sure will do again for future birthdays! Many thanks to friendly staff for staying open late for us!

Good little cafe, great selection of drinks and delicious cakes, staff are friendly. We come here mostly lunchtime as we work nearby for a takeaway milkshake and/or sausage roll/sandwich. Parking just round the corner in the free library car park is recommended rather than on the road.

Love this place so much. I have eaten here many times with my wife but i was fortunate to also photograph a wedding there just before xmas. It was perfect for a wedding - the decor is unique, quirky and compelling - there was so much i could do photo wise. The food is always always excellent and whether you are eating as a couple or celebrating a wedding you will not be disappointed.

It’s great. I have an issue with our rural lunch spots limiting themselves to panini’s, jacket potatoes and maybe a sausage roll so eating here is a breath of fresh air. The menu consists of (but not limited to); a kind of Vegan bliss bowl, venison cottage pie, awesomely large quiche (which most diners seemed to reach for that particular day) and the obligatory over priced burger, which was very good. So I took the burger which came with chunky chips seasoned to perfection and a very good homemade coleslaw. Yes at £13 quid it’s on the expensive side, you could eat a five guys, or even the Ivy for a similar price but it’s not a bad burger and the patty was great so I got over it. Other dishes were very reasonably priced in my opinion, I tried the venison which was cooked very well, as was the large quiche which was peppered in veg as well to really a meal out of it. Last item our group ate was the risotto balls (arancini) which really was top drawer with its xo sauce. I can’t stress how good the risotto balls are. If I really had to criticise the menu one vegan option in today’s world is not really fair but that’s digging deep to criticise. So yeah, eat here. I’ll be very surprised if you walk out disappointed. It’s very nicely decorated, Staff are friendly, the head chef made a point of sticking her head out as we left to say thanks. All these things make for a very pleasant experience.

Great place serving delicious unique dishes from a varied menu...

We stopped here for a breakfast which was really good food and a great service. My only gripe were the amount of children running around bumping into us while we were eating. I minor thing but still a thing.

Lovely little cafe that we happened to drive past as a pit stop. Cheese sandwich served with crisps and salad for £4:20 was great and exactly what a hungry child needed. Iced coffee was perfect and would order again whilst the Oat latte was also very nice. Ordered the carrot cake too which was home made, very moist and everything you would want in a cake. Plenty of locals swinging by, but I would visit again in a heartbeat

We’ve been holding our knit and natter in aid of charity here for a couple of months and the owner has been so supportive. The food is delicious and so is the extensive drinks menu. Its a great community cafe for the area. Please support it.

Came all the way from Birmingham to try the food. I can only say positive things about this place. Perfect atmosphere, delicious food and enthusiastic staff. The owner was very lovely and passionate. Definitely come try this place and I will definitely be back to try more food.

Hands down the best coffee in Tonbridge, I nearly always pop in when in the area. The staff are consistently great and always very friendly, the service is efficient even when there are many orders flying in. Dogs are very welcome too.

Amazing coffee next to the river offers a picturesque setting to enjoy your morning cup of joe. The coffee is rich and flavorful, with just the perfect balance & super smooth. The ambiance of the river adds to the relaxing experience of sipping on a delicious cup of coffee.

A great spot to enjoy the atmosphere in Tonbridge with a view of the castle and river just off the high street. I brought my family from Germany who had reservations about British food and the food they had changed their opinion completely. The service was wonderful and we felt very welcome. The coffee was great and the staff knowledgeable and helpful, so we all got exactly the drink we needed.

Ok toastie (missed out the onion); nice and hot. Very nice coffee. Good service. Plenty of room. Peaceful atmosphere where you could maintain a conversation.

An absolute delight! Didn’t expect to find such a spacious and cozy place for a Sunday lunch cum outing. A good food & drink menu (love their crepes!), and staff is cheerful and seem to enjoy their work. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our morning at Kingdom. It was the first time i have visited and i just love its quirky warm style.The food was amazing with a warm friendly atmosphere, Fantastic scenery and had a great walk. Highly recommend this place for everyone including dogs. I will certainly will be back to try more of their delicious food

Very impressed. Went for a glorious Saturday morning stroll accompanied by our dog and had fabulous time. Ordered a beautiful cappuccino aswell as an expertly crafted bacon bap. Perfectly cut and cooked bacon and don’t even get me started on that bread roll. Remarkable and unbeatable to say the least. Will be back.

I'm giving this a review as i think it deserves one as someone with special needs i didn't find it loud or any nice atmosphere. A+ i loved my tea

First time here, got given a voucher for my birthday for tea for two. Really lovely, couldn't eat all the cakes so took them home. Lovely service, will be back 😁

What can I say…. This cafe is amazing . Popped in while walking past and ordered 2 set breakfasts and two cans of cherry coke. Our order was taken by a attentive waitress and when the food turned up it was just what we needed , not greasy and cooked to perfection. Keep up the good work cafe Riviera . Five ⭐️

Lovely place good for a meal with the fellas, lovely atmosphere, only have two issues. 1. Chips are slightly overcooked but still are delicious. 2. The playlist needs a little more reggae
