Great new space for Canterbury with good food and a chill vibe. Once you get down into the basement there's a good amount of space and easy access to the bar. Good selection of games too so had a fun time trying something new with friends! Would definitely come back :)
Friendly staff, good variety of food on the menu and a decent selection of games. A short delay with service but sorted quickly and the staff apologised. You can happily spend a few hours here
We had our wedding after party here, and it was fantastic! The team at The Long Rest were super helpful throughout the planning process and organised a great night. They were able to privatise the space, and put on a fantastic murder mystery game for us and our guests. Everyone loved having the option to drink and dance or sit down and play family friendly or strategic board games. It was a big hit with friends and family. The themed cocktails were excellent and the food was perfect for the night. 100% recommend this place for a private event. Outside of private event hire - The Long Rest has a great selection of board games, super friendly staff, lovely food and drinks. We will be back every time we're in Canterbury!
Such a great place ! Owner was so friendly and accommodating, the food and drinks were lovely, and it was such a nice quiet cosy atmosphere to relax and play games with friends. I will definitely be back to play a D&D session here, it’s the perfect place !
Such a cosy atmosphere in a gorgeous historic building. Not only a great space to play boardgames but we've taken part in a couple of evening events of Blood on the Clocktower which is tons of fun and a good way to meet other gamers. Definitely will be back and recommend the Dungeons & Dragons themed speciality teas!
