This place is round the corner from my friend and I've been a good few times now, the food is always really delicious and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially through the back. The decor in the back is really well done and makes me feel like I'm at home, Vita and Luigi are both friendly and make you feel like you've been going in for years and best of all the food is very fairly priced. I Highly recommend this place to anyone who's passing through or lives in Leeds. 5 stars all round.

The chef and barista here works magic and I can't thank everyone at Dolce Vita enough for the amazing experience everytime I visit. I'd say wish I could try it for the first time all over again but every time feels like the first time again with the high quality service and wonderful presentation of delicious food. There is always a warm and friendly atmosphere. I recommend Dolce Vita to everyone. Their sandwiches, wraps, pasta, pitta, drinks, desserts, everything is amazing â˜ș

I've been dying to come here after multiple rave reviews from friends and I'm so glad I did! The coffee was great, the food was gorgeous, and the atmosphere was so lovely I could have stayed and worked from here all day. Its so much bigger inside than I expected, the staff were friendly, quick, and gave the place a lively happy feeling about it. The vegan pastrami sandwich was amazing and I can't wait to try the other options as I was chuffed to see so many. Overall just a really nice cosy and comfy place to hang out or work

Having driven past this quirky coffee shop many times on my visits to Leeds I was delighted to be able to visit (finally!) and was not disappointed . The service was friendly and quick. It is obviously very popular. My coffee and pain au raisin were both delicious. We were able to park around the corner . The decor is fun I hope to visit again soon.

Came here for an almond croissant, but unfortunately they'd run out by the time we got there (~11am Saturday). Instead we got a regular croissant and a pan au chocolate. Both were lovely. We took them to-go. Next time we will arrive earlier and try for the almond croissant again (I'm on a quest to find my favourite almond croissant), and we need to try the coffee, too!

Always 10/10 coffee and bagels. The vegan pastrami is unreal and so are their chai lattes. The only reason I gave 1 less star for service is because they take a while on the bagels but honestly it’s so so worth the wait. We also got hot honey hash browns which were amazing too.

Fika North coffee is a great spot in the Headingley area. The coffees and bagels are delicious and expertly made. The only issue is the limited space inside, which can make it challenging to find a free table, especially on weekends!

lovely lil coffeeshop tucked in thornton’s arcade. flat white was smooth enough. tried a sweet snacks which name i forgot. there was a small q when i was there but seats available. they’ve got a toilet upstairs. more seating upstairs as well. staffs were nice and welcoming. bought v60 paper filter here. they’ve got interesting selection of beans. there was a sign on the front door that this coffee shop is no-laptop zone, unlike the other kapow on the call lane near the river. however i like the experience better in this outlet. would def revisit this one next time

A full-of-character cafe in central Leeds. Looks tiny from the outside, but there’s more room upstairs. Laptops are not allowed, so best to go there with a friend or a book.

As cool as a frozen artisan Dutch oven. Kapow has a vibe like no other, if you were to exclude comic stores. Its staff are first class baristas. I was lucky enough to bear witness to the craft of latte art while I waited. The attention to detail the barista displayed, even for a perfectionist like me, made me grin like a cat that got the cream. Kapow coffee is situated in an arcade, much like my favourite Brum coffee shop Faculty. It has 3 floors, well 2 if you exclude the barbers on the top floor. It sells quality merchandise. It serves awesome, artisanal coffee. It
needs coffee enthusiasts like you to go check it out. Trust me when I say, it’s more super than Superman’s socks.

A really lovely coffee shop that’s easy to miss in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. As a keen frequenter of coffee shops in Leeds for the past few years, last week was the first I had heard of it, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the granola bowl (delicious and fab amount for £6.50) and a latte :) the workers were warm and friendly - overall, great experience! I hope to try one of the lunches next time :)

This is my first visit to this establishment, and I must say it has left a remarkable impression on me. Opting for breakfast here in the morning was undoubtedly the right choice. From the very first moment, the young and attentive staff ensured a warm and welcoming experience. The time spent here, combined with the unique atmosphere, is as exceptional as the food itself. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who has yet to try the local cuisine – it is truly worth the visit.

Breakfast was really nice! I had the french toast and it was delicious, the orange mascarpone made it very refreshing so it wasn't too sweet. The portion size was also huge. We also had the breakfast brioche, again very delicious but definitely recommend it with added bacon.

The food is fabulous, highly recommend the Turkish eggs and also the pastries. I would suggest asking for some of the pastries to be heated like spinach & feta or the chocolate, hazelnut and pear (they won't offer but will do upon request). Coffee is great, and service is rapid meaning you can stop before your train. Booking looks advisable as always busy.

Rating: 4.7 (933) Price Level:

What a wonderful hidden gem. The food is out of this world. Reasonable priced, too, which is an added bonus. We had our gender reveal here today they catered for 20 guests. All the food orders were correct. They did separate bills to save time at the end. The staff was brilliant and helped us dress the tables ready for our guests. To which every guest commented how wonderful the place and food were. The only downfall is that the car park is really small, but cars can be parked close by . Highly recommend.

I had organised a meal for 17 people aged from 3 years to 80 years. The communication from the staff was brilliant from the beginning. On the evening nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the menu options are fab. Need to note that the gluten free menu has so many options which you don't often see. I would certainly hold a celebration meal here again. Thank you!

Came here for brunch with a friend. Quaint little spot located in Wakefield. We ordered goat cheese starters with homemade sandwiches and chunky chips. Food was deliciously and good size portions. Sandwiches could be served on a selection of breads. We sat in the outside annex which was super lovely. What topped the experience for me was the incredible service from a lovely lady called Debbie. Nothing was too much trouble. She definitely made our experience - she is a credit to the team.

Salts Mill

Victoria Rd, Saltaire, Shipley BD18 3HU, UK | N/A
P: 01274 531163

Rating: 4.6 (4805) Price Level:

A really wonderful place to stroll around looking at nice things for 3-4 hours. A fantastic use of an historic and beautiful industrial business with a very uplifting and important heritage, especially for this part of the world. The video showing the story of what it was and how it became what it is now and why it is a UNESCO site was very moving. So much art and photography to see, choc a block with Hockney works...all for free! The Ian Beesley exhibition was a highlight for me. The antique shop too. The Peace Museum is cool too. Also, probably the biggest building I have ever been in and with lots of original features...The sheer scale is incredible. Be prepared to walk lots.

We parked on Caroline Street for ÂŁ1.50 per hour (able to extend on RingGo app). Queue for food was quite long but we got in early at 11:30 which seemed to beat the queue. Pizzas were amazing! There is another cafe on level 3 if you want to skip the long queue. Exhibits were nice and the activities in the Peace Museum upstairs were great. Only suggestion to management is have some signage for prams/wheelchairs. Accessibility at the two entrances/exits we saw were none existent.

We had a fabulous afternoon visiting Salts Mill! We heard that David Hockney had a flowers in print exhibition and couldn’t wait to take a look. We had visited the Media museum earlier in the day, so saw some of his artistic talents through his 4 seasons videos filmed through 9 cameras. The mill had 3 floors of interesting arts, plenty of areas to eat and drink and a wonderful book store! There’s plenty of David Hockney related things to peruse/buy! We also watched a video of the history of Salts Mill which was fascinating!

It’s always good to take a friend from other areas to visit places you enjoy and find they like them too. Salts mill and Saltaire is such an unusual place combining history via art ( through Hockney) and industrial skills - the mill itself and the town of Saltaire. The town has a character modern towns usually lack and the mill shows industrial heritage where money talked and could be good for the workers. Pity more entrepreneurs don’t build new towns around their dream developments!! We enjoyed the art, the spaces within the mill (which is huge) including the cafe and book shops. We saw some video footage of how the mill started but didn’t see it all. Think we should return to learn more. Cafe - we had to wait a while but it was ok and the lunch was fine-tasty and reasonable. Take time, don’t rush and think about the original workers but also the dedication of Jonathan Silver who so valued this place and ensured it became a valued place in industrial history.

We had a good meal here on a busy Saturday. We managed to get in for a table of four after the afternoon rush. We waited a little while for drinks to arrive, but the food came pretty quickly after that. We had a good mix of dishes between us from the crispy duck salad, pancakes, steak and eggs and a chicken burger. We all really enjoyed our food and thought the price was pretty reasonable too.
