Good to see the café on the station as reopened. The station it's self is very basic no facilities that's worth a mention. Sure the cafe will do really well, good selection of drinks and snacks. At least I can get a coffee when delayed, or before bordering.

I had the pleasure of having a coffee here a few days ago - due to a cancelled train. I can tell you: I am happy it got cancelled! This place is a little gem! The staff are so polite, attentive and so professional. My coffee was delicious (best flat white ever!). Excellent service/atmosphere and an immaculate place, brilliant.

Nice modern cafe with comfortable seating and powerpoints. Coffee and hot chocolate both nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Good to have a staff presence on the station and the station overall feels a lot more of a welcoming, modern and vibrant place than it used to.

Really good coffee and good selection of snacks. Friendly staff who will help out (I spilt my coffee and they were very patient!) and the pastries are all served warm and delicious. It's probably no pricier than most chains and the food and drink is miles better!

This was the first time I have been in was to have a meeting there. I was really impressed with the selection of coffee, the display of home bake sweet and savoury delights was so inviting I could resist. The owner is very passionate about his coffee and we had a great chat about coffee and the history of his suppliers and around how hard his wife works baking all the items for the shop. Don't just walk past go in, you won't be disappointed!

Shhh! Don’t tell anyone, but this is the best coffee place in Wakefield! I’m regular there from the very beginning and never disappointed. Owners are lovely and all their staff as well! Always welcoming and kind. I get flat whites, turmeric latte, occasionally bakes, they’re delicious. Stylish interior, nice outdoor area. Parking nearby! Thanks Vanilla Bakes!

Nice small coffee and cake place. My son brings cake from here when visiting. First time and not bad. Quick to serve, tasty drink and cake, enough options. Only issue was icing was too thick on the school cake.

Wonderful little café with wonderful staff. Tucked away, but worth the visit. Coffee was delicious, as was the lemon drizzle cake. Sandwich was filled to the brim and was equally tasty! Will 100% be visiting again.

A massive shout out for Rich and his team for the DELICIOUS homemade steak pie and peas that he brought to my 70th celebration. Everyone who came heaped praise on the quality of the food, it was superb. The service was excellent and efficient too, I really can’t fault anything received from this wonderful little set up.

This place came highly recommended, and with good reason. Best onion bahji we've ever had. Best curry too. Reasonably priced, lovely, lovely staff and cool venue. Absolutely spot on. Will be back with the kids next time for the bottomless brunch 😊

Established in 2016 by husband & wife duo, The Spicy Biker has come from being a mobile pop-up kitchen, that you will see at various food festivals & markets, to opening up their very first restaurant in Nov ’23, based in Wakefield city centre. Serving authentic Indian food from “mum’s kitchen” that’s been given a Spicy Biker twist. I first discovered the delights of the Spicy Biker a few years ago at one of their popups at Suppa Club, Elsecar. In Nov ’23, they opened their very first restaurant in Wakefield City Centre, and myself and 3 of my foodie friends booked a bottomless brunch last October. It was fantastic! For just £35 (As of 1st March 2025, this will change to £40pp) you get a Thali including two curries (I went with the Chicken and the Lentil curries), basmati rice, naan bread, onion bhajis and an extra side of your choice (I went with meat samosas). Not forgetting the drinks, which are bottomless for 90 mins and include Prosecco, house wine, bottles of cobra and various cocktails, pitchers, and alcohol free options. The food was exquisite, and the chef personally brought out an extra curry for us all to share and try (lamb rogan josh), which was so tasty. You get PLENTY of food, but I didn’t find it over-facing. Maybe I am greedy haha! But if it’s a little too much, you can take the rest away. The meal is all presented beautifully, which adds to the experience and we managed about 4/5 drinks each, so a good effort (we had a lot to talk about haha). The bhajis are massive, crisp and freshly made which is fantastic. Indian Food and bottomless drinks HAS to be my all time favourite! The restaurant has other drinks and meals on offer too of course 💷 Spend: £35pp – Bottomless availability subject to change but was every Fri & Sat 12pm – 4pm ⏰ Open Hours:Wed & Thurs 4pm-10pm, Fri & Sat 12pm-10pm, Sun 4pm-8pm 📦🚚 Takeaway/Delivery: Collection and UberEats

I had my birthday bottomless brunch here yesterday with 7 friends and overall the food and service was amazing! The chicken curry was so tender and our drinks were replaced as soon as we had empties even though it was very busy. This is my 3rd time at Spicy Biker and I would definitely recommend, they will always accommodate your needs and the family who run the restaurant are wonderful!

I recently dined at Three Flames Steak House, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant is beautifully designed, creating a lovely ambiance. The staff were polite and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. The food was incredible, with every dish thoughtfully prepared. The steak, in particular, was cooked to perfection. The only downside to our visit was the disruptive behavior of children at nearby tables, which wasn't the restaurant's fault. It's just a reminder that some patrons can't handle their kids. Everything else was perfect. Just be aware of the service charge on the receipt; it was significantly higher than a usual tip, which might catch some off guard. Despite this, Three Flames Steak House is highly recommended for a superb dining experience.

Decided to go here after seeing their Facebook posts. Food looked amazing on there but omg still wasn’t prepared for good it would be! Blooming onion was perfectly seasoned. Sauce was lovely. Had the fillet steak burger. Was so tender and well cooked.. Service was also second to none! Their attention to detail wasn’t too much but not too little. Loved the ambience! Well done guys!

Visited here with my three friends to celebrate the pending arrival of my little boy. We were treated so well, they’d popped us in a lovely quiet corner by the window upstairs. The food was absolutely delicious, wow, the cakes are amazing! Staff are so friendly, no wonder it’s always so busy here it’s an absolute gem of a place to visit in Wakefield.

Delphi is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Greek cuisine! The food is not only delicious but also true to traditional Greek flavors, delivering that rich, homemade taste that’s hard to find elsewhere. The menu is simple—no frills, just good, honest food—and each option feels carefully chosen to showcase Greek culinary staples. It’s refreshing to dine at a place that focuses on quality rather than overwhelming you with endless choices. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality you get makes it fantastic value for money. It’s a place where you leave feeling like you’ve gotten more than your money’s worth. A big shoutout to the owner, Alex, whose warmth and hospitality really made the experience memorable. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and clearly takes pride in his restaurant. His friendliness and charm add to the atmosphere, making it feel like you’re dining in a close friend’s kitchen. All in all, Delphi offers great food, a simple but satisfying menu, and exceptional value. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Greek food or simply a fantastic dining experience!

Delphi is a hidden gem! Authentic, traditional Greek cuisine just like you would find at a taverna. The owner/chef is so welcoming and will treat you like family. Expect home-cooked food at a very reasonable price. The beef moussaka is my personal favourite.

On Friday night, we actually tried to go to Fino up the road, but they were fully booked up, and they recommended us to come here. So we walked down and gave it a go. On arrival, they had no tables available, but they gave us their word they'd get a table within 5 minutes, and true it was. It was extremely busy. The service was surprisingly quick. I ordered the Mozzarella in Carrozza and the Calzone. (See Pictures) Prior to the food arriving, we were again pleasantly surprised, given complimentary bread, butter, and a tomato based dip that set the mood nicely. The food itself was a decent portion, reasonably priced and tasty! I didn't give it 5 stars because I've had better Calzone's, but it was still decent, and for what you get, you can't go wrong. You could tell this restaurant gets its regular attenders and for a reputation to have that loyal customer base it shows the service and commitment the staff give to make it a great experience 👏 I would recommend giving this place a go, and on the bonus side, it won't burn a hole in your pocket.

They really look after you here. Very nice complimentary bread and dip while you read the menu, and prices are very competitive. A family could spend half as much compared to going to somewhere like Pizza Express. One point I did think was strange, though: the two course Sunday lunch set menu was £16.95 which is very reasonable, but the main courses only cost around £8. So it was cheaper to get two mains than a starter and a main course.

We came here for a family meal on a Sunday lunchtime and really enjoyed the experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming and accommodating to families. The restaurant decor has a charming rustic appeal. We ordered pizzas, and spaghetti with meatballs. The food was delicious, and generous portions and very good value for money. We will definitely go again! Thank you 🙏😊

Went for a meal here and had a good time. The food choices were wide and varied. Food itself was good. Service was ok. Just had a couple of issues, one being that we got a portion of chips that we didn't order and the waitress said we could have them anyway but we were still charged for them. The fish platter wasn't the best I've had but was ok. The other meals were very tasty though. It was, admittedly very busy, not one table empty.
