Myself and my family friends came on Monday for the afternoon tea and let me say it was lovely, it was very filling I had to take a box home with me 🍰 I would 100% come back I just wish there was an option of plain scones but the lady happily swapped it for a piece of Victoria sponge. Nothing was too much hassle and it was very nice thank you for a lovely first experience I will definitely return.

Firstly, I love the fact that the place was called Idle Lounge, definitely wasn't idle with the service. Always down to eat a Full English wherever I go and I must say it went down really well. The lady at the till was very welcoming and served me with a smile which was sweet.

We had a great regular breakfast there today. The quality was on point and it was I great size for the price. I also tried an old classic, Steak Canadian with fried onions and I'd totally forgotten how good that sandwich was. Staff were lovely,pleasant and chatty. Thank you very much ladies.

Fabulous little cafe the owner and staff are very friendly the food is always good and the takeout sandwiches are very very large and fill of fillings of your choice I always go here for a lunchtime sandwich 🥪

Did I said brilliant cafe. Yes it is beautiful place just at the edge of canal. Giving u an opportunity to have beautiful views while u enjoy ur tea or food. Atmosphere is as beautiful as this cafe is. U can feel peace n calm. Friendly n attentive staff, great service. Not only tea or coffee but food u can enjoy there. They have delicious cake variety which was mouthwatering for me so I ordered couple of 😆. Situated at Five Rise famous Lock mean bit busy too at brunch time. We had wonderful time there. Thanks to the staff specially the young girl on counter 👍

Great little cafe. Prices reasonable given where it is and there's no competition. The bathroom was immaculate. My only mild negative, is as couple of the staff could smile, looked like they wanted to jump in the canal.

Sitting on the canal side with a nice pot of tea and a Yorkshire rascal was a great treat. The five rise locks are a fantastic engineering feat and very close by.

Excellent place to visit. Great atmosphere, great food at good prices. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff. Toilet available, too, which is useful on longer walks. I have lots of trips down the canal just to come here and definitely recommend it to others. Great views of the canal and hills, too.

I went here for an emergency appointment and needed an extraction. Every member of staff was very welcoming and nice, the procedure itself was done within 5 minutes. I could barely even feel the syringe when the area was being anaesthetised. As someone who has a phobia of the dentist, this was an absolutely perfect experience. Highly recommend.

G&T Electrical Services LTD are perfection. We had Taz around to complete 1st fix electrics. We are not the easiest customers to deal with - we changed our minds several times, took quite a bit of time to make decisions, et cetera. Taz was absolutely professional throughout, despite us being quite difficult (and a pain, I imagine). He replied quickly, amended quotes as necessary, kept in touch throughout, completed the work to a high standard, and provided great aftercare. We didn't have to chase him for a certificate of works either (we had to chase other electricians for it previously). More recently, when our cables were drilled through (and took our lighting circuit out), Taz came to the rescue. Despite it being a Friday evening, Taz came down to us (having drove for over an hour to get to us, I will add), was so patient whilst finding the fault, and fixed it up for us within the same day. Taz was calmed and collected when we were stressed out and fatigued, and (unlike many other electricians) he never spoke to us condescendingly or made it sound like we were a burden. His bill for an emergency callout was extremely reasonable as well. He deserves tremendous credit. G&T Electrical Services LTD is wholeheartedly recommended.

Lovely place to stop off when it's pouring! Hot tea and just shelter for a while in one of several enclosed shelters with windows and a picnic table. Very pleasant staff too. Even the dog got a treat! Must call again when there is more time! 😊 Oh, and took a couple of pieces of cake home. Delicious! 😄

Nice little stop off near thornton village over the viaduct. Sandwiches, hot and cold snacks, coffee etc. Nice setting, and Cabins to shelter if weather's not good.👍

Referred for tooth extraction which was a bit grim but painless and over quickly! Everyone at the surgery was professional, friendly and very accommodating where I have awful social anxiety so thank you so much for that. It was appreciated. Experience was definitely so much better than I was anticipating!

Everything was fully explained by the dentist and nurse in respect of the procedure and the process and they answered any questions I had, I didn't feel a thing. It was explained to me in respect of the recovery process. I felt happy and at ease , thank you .

After breaking a tooth six months ago and being unable to find a dentist, I had given up until I contacted High Street Dental on a whim. Initially I thought I was going to loose what remained of my tooth. However after expressing my concerns to Nicky she has been able to save what remains and remove the severe discomfort I was experiencing. Thank you all for creating such a welcoming atmosphere!

A fantastic dental practice. The staff are very friendly and professional and most of them have been there for a long time. My dentist is very friendly and experienced, he did awesome job on my root canal. My family are seen by the other dentist, she is also experienced, very respectful but firm which is great for the kids. They are on their best cleaning and non-sugar routine weeks before going and after their appointment. Highly recommend the practice.

After a nasty cycling accident and an unhelpful visit to A&E where I was just directed to my dentist with damaged teeth and a badly cut mouth, I was welcomed by all the staff here with such empathy that still makes my feel emotional! They looked after me by giving me such sympathy and understanding when I was devastated about my teeth and also still in shock. My usual dentist (Mark) fixed my teeth there and then and did his best to stitch up my mouth even though it was probably the hospital that should have done this. He then made sure I got a follow up call a few days later to check that everything was okay. I did have to go back with a further problem the week after, as the most obvious damage started to heal, and I was seen within days by the other dentist (Nicky). She also treated me with such empathy and understanding, really proving that everyone who works at the practice cares about those in need. All the staff (reception staff and dental staff) are my absolute real life heroes and I cannot thank them enough for the support they gave me not only on that horrible day but for a good couple of weeks afterwards

The new homemade pies and cakes are a treat.....beautiful x I got a pizzarinni which was so nice...a slice of homemade lemon drizzle cake...which was so tasty and moist and a can of pop... £6.20 I think is extremely reasonably priced. See you tomorrow for breakfast xxx

Good food, friendly staff, pleasant dine-in experience. The sandwiches are great, and I would also recommend the breakfast. Very reasonable prices, and overall a great choice for breakfast as well as lunch.
