Where do I start?! Emma and the team were absolutely amazing from beginning to end! Emma could make sense of my rather vague descriptions of how I wanted things, the vision seemed clear in my head but it proved difficult trying to explain it. She knew exactly what to do to bring it to life and nothing was too much trouble. On the day she never stopped - she’s the extra bridesmaid/ best friend doing everything she could to help us and keeping us calm, the on the day coordinator seamlessly organising the supplier arrivals, personal chauffeur when we needed to move our car and slightly crazy looking lady running through the gardens so Chris would have a natural smile for the photos!! The dedication was another level! With me being rather OCD I didn’t know if I would be able to step back and enjoy the day fully without worrying about things but from the day before when we took all our things to set up I completely relaxed knowing everything was under control. Emma’s family were the perfect team and they couldn’t do enough for us but at the same time they felt like friends as they are so lovely and chilled. The day went so perfectly and we cannot thank Emma enough for her huge part in this. The only disappointment is that we can’t do the day all over again!!

I have absolutely no idea how we would have coped without Rebecca and Emma from Ivy House Weddings when it came to planning our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for better support to help create the most perfect day, and the attention to detail from the planning stages right through to the last dance on the day was amazing to ensure that everything ran smoothly - we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rebecca and Emma to anyone getting married. Don’t do it alone - they will look after you so well and you won’t regret it!

Emma and Rebecca were incredibly attentive to our needs throughout the wedding planning process and helped create our perfect vision. The decor looked stunning and the gorgeous grounds provided a beautiful scenery for our day. Our guests, (many of whom had never been to Calke Abbey before) were blown away with the venue. The ladies at Ivy House were superb. They took care of every detail and went out of their away to ensure everything was perfect for us. They went above and beyond making sure every detail was covered. With the beautiful location, extremely professional, thorough and helpful wedding planners and charming décor, it was simply a perfect day! We are so grateful to the Ivy House Ladies for making our Wedding Day everything we could have wished for.

Wow what a duo! Emma and Rebecca were incredible from start to finish! We couldn’t have wished for better co-ordinators! They made us feel super relaxed right from our initial chat and that anything was possible when making decisions on our big day! The day was absolutely faultless which was all credit to E&R! Even our guests commented on what genuinely lovely people they are! We’ll really miss wedding planning with them now it’s all done, but will take away such special memories thanks to them.

John did a brilliant job clearing out our overgrown garden, digging a french drain and putting down stones. He’s reliable, hardworking, professional, trust-worthy, and tidy. He’s very knowledgeable and will be using again for lawn repair in the spring. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service, John has done a few gardening jobs for us, most recently removing an unstable tree in the garden and pruning some others. He always does an excellent job, turns up on time, leaves no mess and is polite and professional, and very reasonably priced and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

We hired Emily and Fran for our wedding styling this weekend and were truly blown away by the beautiful job they did. By the time we got to confirming our choices for the styling and floristry I was struggling to make any decisions but Emily listened to everything and managed to somehow pull everything we had in our heads into a masterpiece. Breathtakingly Beautiful… Emily & Fran did all of our styling & floristry. The flowers were truly out of this world beautiful. The colours were just beautiful. Emily & Fran spent so much time & effort creating everything for our wedding day at Thorpe Gardens. I remember walking down the aisle and thinking wow … I can’t actually believe how amazing this all is. I called for an urgent installation of a new cooker, after my old gas hobs abandoned me. This was a non standard installation, because the cooker was a different size of the previous one and needed to fit between two units of my kitchen, which needed to be moved. I am very happy with the job - they have been responsive, organised, punctual and very reliable. I will definitely call them again in the future for small and big projects in my house!

I am compelled to share my excellent experience with Robert the Handyman. He was recently able to fit numerous fittings for our baby's bedroom and put together a toy at short notice, working well after hours with precision, care, and timeliness. We had been struggling to find a handyman who was available to fit the fittings for our baby's bedroom, as it was a relatively small job and most handymen were booked up weeks in advance. We were also keen to have the fittings fitted as soon as possible, as we were expecting our baby to arrive any day. Robert was able to come to our house the very next day, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, and fitted all of the fittings perfectly. He also put together a toy for our baby that we had been struggling to assemble. Robert was very professional and friendly, and he went above and beyond to help us. He is a highly skilled handyman, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Here are some specific things that I appreciated about Robert's service: He was available at short notice, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, but also took the time to do a good job. He was very professional and friendly. He went above and beyond to help us, by assembling a toy for our baby that we had been struggling to assemble. Would highly recommend Rob to anyone as he can turn his hand to many things and is trustworthy and reliable. Recently had my loft insulated and boarded and there was minimal disruption or mess. Rob reused the old boards where possible to keep the cost down and has also repaired a hole in the ceiling. Thanks to Rob and Charlie for their hard work.

Bobby-man-can maintenance has done a lot of work for us. We are DIY disasters and find that whenever we ask for a quote, there is never a job too big or too small. Everything has been carried out to a high standard. One of the largest jobs to be carried out was the insulation and boarding out of our entire loft. Bobby-man-can maintenance is trusted and reliable. We have always found his quotes very competitive. Would not hesitate to recommend and would use time and again.

I could not have asked for a better service; after all the rain with my roof leaking; they came as soon as possible and sorted all the major problems out, plus made sure there was no water getting in before leaving.; not just done & leave like most. Photos were taken to show me all items of work carried out; so kind, helpful & pleasent. All items taken away as well. They have explained to me that as my house was built in the 70's & no major work has ever been required that next year it would be in my best interest to have the front of my roof checked over of which I will get them to do as I will always go back here first. If I could give 6 stars out of 5 I would ...so a BIG THANK U

We had a problem of leaks from under the ridge tiles of our four year old house. The builders had attempted numerous fixes and eventually washed their hands of the issue claiming it was condensation. I called BRS and Terry came next day to take a look and immediately saw the shoddy job the builders had done. He was able to fit us in four days later to completely replace the dry ridge kit and was helpful enough to take plenty of photos that will enable us to pursue a complaint against the builders. Everything was done quickly and efficiently and they turned up exactly when they said they would. Great service, thanks!

James came out to fix a leak from our roof of unknown origin. Arrived exactly when he said he would for the quote, and exactly when he said to do the work. Really nice guy, took a video to show the problem and how he fixed it. Cant recommend enough. Will be keeping his number for any future roofing needs.

After being let down by a previous roofer, we contacted James, who came when he said he would to look at what was needed, gave a very reasonable price for the work and booked us in very quickly. He ordered all the materials needed to complete the job, came on time and worked very hard in the rain, work is to very high standard, we are absolutely delighted and can't thank you enough.
