Windmill Restaurant

“We wanted a lovely meal to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary and having review a few restaurants menus we plumped for The Windmill and we were not disappointed. Our starters of scallops were cooked to perfection as was the rare cooked fillet steak. The bottle of Pinot Grigio Rosé was a refreshing accompaniment to a warm evening. We were served by Olivia who was attentive and efficient. The deserts are to die for, so very yummy. The loos are clean and have hand cream as well as hand wash. Altogether a fabulous evening provided by a friendly team.”

“Ok so I think that the whole two rib eyes and a bottle for £25 is good and that you can’t expect the world. They gave a good go at this place and it’s just spring up from nowhere. Everyone was nice and my boyfriend was a little snobby about the cheap chips. It’s important to remember that it is a good price and there was nothing wrong with the food at all. Great service and good views. This place is good.”

“We came last night. 8 adults, 1 baby, total bill £309 1 Bottle of red wine 2 large glasses of rose, 2 large white wines, 2 beers, 5 cokes & 8 - 3 course meals. The staff are amazing. Very accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing. The only thing that was disappointing was the lobster ravioli it's filling wasn't very tasty and seemed more like a processed pate, needless to say our friend still ate it and didn't complain but I felt it should be added into the review for others, it's not expensive for the plate £11 - they're HUGE portions. The steak was cooked to perfection. The chips a little soggy and could use a extra few minutes but they're tasty nevertheless. The stilton sauce wasnt over powering, good for us but some others might expect more of a punch. The desserts were lovely!! I would highly recommend this place. It wasn't expensive for the level of service and fresh food you get!”

“Absolutely amazing food at very reasonable prices. My wife and I were on holiday nearby and we passed this place a couple of times before deciding to visit. Our only disappointment is that we didn't visit sooner. The staff were great and the food was hot and tasty. Would 100% recommend Poppy's to anyone if they are looking for great food, with plenty of choice.”

“Although a remote location, the pub is a gem of a find, the food was very good and good quantity a lot of meat especially. We only had the main course of the Sunday lunch, as we had no room for puddings, what we saw being served to other customers looked good.”

Wolfies Wine Bar

“We decided to give Wolfies Wine Bar a visit after holidaying in the area and looking at reviews. I have holidayed in Skegness many times before but never tried eating in here, but this time I thought lets give it a go and I am so glad I did! The upstairs restaurant is a really nice setting - perfect for overlooking everything lit up in the winter evenings if you get a window seat. The food quality was amazing - really generous portion size, excellent value for money and tasted fantastic! I was thoroughly impressed with the bbq pulled pork chicken melt, it was very fresh and flavoured well, and the home made chips were delicious! Compliments to the chef Great service, staff were friendly and attentive. They have an extensive menu with lots of great options to choose from, menus vary slightly between lunch time and the evening, but plenty to choose from on both and lots of great dishes that I haven't really seen anywhere else before. I cant wait to try the cheesecake and/or cookie dough next time. This will now be a regular restaurant to visit when I holiday in the area - a fabulous find!”
