Very good Fullers pub with great service, decent food and a range of well-kept cask ales. The ESB was superb, and went well with the small fish & chips- which was plenty big enough for me. Cheers! 🍻

Experiences at the Robin Hood have consistently been positive. Find the simple bar food to be perfectly suited to the historic pub setting in a small town.

Lovely pub in Tring, I cycled from London, down the Grand union canel. A nice pint was perfect to finish the ride off. Such a nice welcoming atmosphere and lovely people. I would recommend to anyone who is around this area. 👍

Had this lovely woman with pink hair serve me and she was an absolute delight and a pleasure to deal with! Really made me feel welcome and it was an ideal spot to experience a true old British pub! Felt very old timey, homey and so historic! Only popped in for a quick drink! The outside patio was done up realy nice and I sent pictures of it back home for my mother! 12/10 will go back with the husband!

Amazing Spanish food , very authentic flavours and great setting . We can’t wait to be back !

The food was superbly cooked and presented and the front of house team were knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient, in short everything you could hope for. Faultless in every respect, fine dining at pub prices, in a beautiful rural setting.

Fantastic pub and so good that we’re already planning a return visit. We had the Paella Negro, which was delicious, and very generous size. Paired well with the excellent selection of beers, and so nice to be at pub that has such a range outside of the standard ones. Kids enjoyed a great burger and pasta dish, and the Patas Bravas were better than most we’ve had in Spain. Paired with a beautiful walk in the countryside, a visit to the white lion has the makings of an exceptional day

This was an absolutely fantastic restaurant. We went here on a Tuesday evening. It wasn’t too busy, and we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic vibe and beautiful decorations. The food arrived quickly, and was incredibly tasty. I particularly liked the hummus with green chilli. The mixed grill was also great, along with the baklava. The prices were also pretty reasonable. I would definitely come back here, and highly recommend it.

Visited here after a trip to Natural History Museum, server was very friendly. Sat us down quickly and took our drinks order. He explained the menu options. Food arrived well presented and delicious. My 5 year old thoroughly enjoyed his meal and says we have to come here again!for a fussy eater that speaks volumes.

Absolutely delicious and full of charm ! Tarboush Tring is a hidden gem! The food is bursting with authentic Lebanese flavours- everything we ordered was fresh and beautifully presented, the meze selection was a highlight. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with lovely decor that gives it a really special vibe . The staff were very friendly. Definitely coming back - highly recommend!

Came to Tarboush for dinner for the first time tonight with a group of friends and this place did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the cocktails were tasty (and incredibly good value with their offer), the decor was beautiful and the staff were lovely too. Honestly couldn't fault anything! We ordered a couple of mezze each to share and there was plenty of food to go around. The Beiruty shawarma lamb was particularly tasty, though I enjoyed all the dishes I sampled. Very reasonably priced overall, especially considering how delicious the food was. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to everyone and I'm sure we'll be back soon!

Excellent location. Great decor. First visit. We ordered wine and salads and starters. There was a big delay in getting our salads but the manager was very helpful and came to us twice to apologise for the delay and in the end, offered us another drink and a dessert as an apology, which we accepted. They weren't particularly busy, but only had one chef. I understand how hard it is to get good staff to work in catering and hospitality, so the gesture was appreciated. Thanks

Early dinner, so fairly quiet at first but clearly very popular as numbers grew. Good menu of (very) generous portion sizes and good selection of local ales. Really friendly and efficient service.

We really enjoyed our time at The Akeman. We were a bit early for our booking but they kindly prepped a table anyway. The food was delicious - especially the starters. The pizza oven went down very well with the children. Would definitely come back. Thank you for looking after us so well.

A popular pub in a central location in Tring, came for lunch (booked a table) on Saturday with 2 friends. The service was friendly and staff were welcoming and efficient. The food was of good quality with generous portions. We did wait for 40 minutes from arrival to food being served. Overall nice atmosphere, does get busy but it wasn't too loud or crowded.

I can not recommend this restaurant enough. The service and professionalism were excellent and exactly what I would expect from a restaurant. We ordered upon recommendation, and we enjoyed the meals and look forward to our next trip already. The atmosphere is relaxing, and we tried interesting dishes. Most items are halal.

Visiting Tring for a holiday and found this gem of a place. Me and my family of five enjoyed every starter and main we had and the service was brilliant as well. I really appreciated the menu setup, all dishes had their allergens clearly marked, something you don't usually see in Indian restaurants. Lots of vegan dishes as well. I highly recommend this place.

We booked the night before for a Sunday evening table. We’re glad we did because it was super busy. The food was delightfully tasty with large cuts of lamb within the curry; simply delicious! Great attentive service with reasonably priced dishes.

We (2) had a takeaway from here. We mostly had different food to what we usually have. I had Old Delhi Butter Chicken - I was very impressed. Lovely & creamy. Ordered rice to go with. My husband ordered the keema naan & the crepe(spicy potato) to start - they arrived luke warm & there was 2crepes. Nice but I wouldn't have them again - just not my taste. Overall, not bad. Delivery was prompt, 20mins or so. Maybe as a celebration as quite pricey for 2. But Id go here again.

Such a cute little place for a bite to eat and a coffee. We had the breakfast baps - which were delicious. The girls working were all so accommodating and friendly, making it a really enjoyable place to stop after a walk down the canal.

A lovely English waterside pub. Though there is no direct view ovee the canal the exterior courtyard and extended grounds provide a very cordial place to drink and dine al fresco. Staff are friendly and we spent a brilliant spring day afternoon there. The only negative was the Reuben Bap had one thin slice of salt beef, you could stretch to at least two. Also a Reuben sandwich is made with corned beef or pastrami. The fries were excellent. This is positive criticism and we look forward to returning to enjoy a great place.

Nice place for coffee n cake. We had hot chocolate, coffee and salted caramel brownie. Brownie was very delicious. Coffee and hot chocolate were good as well. Staff is very nice and helpful. Atmosphere was beautiful, small flower pots on every table with the table number written on them was very cute and creative. Would like to go again.

A place we discovered accidentally, but proved to be really nice. It has huge indoors and outdoors seating areas and apparently is often used for functions. On Sunday the menu is all about Sunday roast, but it was good and the service was amazing. Great place to gather with the family

Great Bar and grill Service - fast and friendly. Food - we ordered from the outdoor bar menu, the food was good, the service was fast and reliably priced in line with what you expect from a bar menu. The place has a good size car park, the garden is good and spaced out nicely, there are outdoor toilets, also a nice kids area. Overall very well looked after and serviced place, I look forward to the next visit to the main bar vs the outdoor garden.

First visit and didn’t disappoint. Lovely venue, good food and well priced with friendly staff. Would highly recommend

Found this understated pub in our travels but was happily surprised by the quality of food.. wasn’t expecting them to have such a good chef on board along with massive portion sizes! Defo give it a go 👍✔️

I chose the Black Horse for my wife’s 50th surprise birthday party as they gave live music and we wanted our band to play. From start to finish they were superb, Sophia and Lori were extremely attentive, thoughtful and helpful through the planning and the event. The food and service they provided was outstanding as was the atmosphere in the pub on the day. Needless to say it was a fantastic event. Thank you Black Horse!

It was a lovely sunny Sunday and we had been to the Tring natural history museum (highly recommend) this pub is only a 10 mins walk and feels very local. The food was excellent (Sunday roasts) everything felt homemade and freshly cooked (but just heated up) and was the perfect size. The potatoes are definitely the star of the show! The kids roast was on the large size for a 6 year old (not a complaint just an fyi) with good meat quality and just as tasty as the adults. Good beer options including local Tring beer, softdrinks and ciders. Outside they have a good 10 or so large picnic tables and lots of space to run around. Prices are very reasonable, staff very friendly and would definitely recommend.

We had a superb lunch in this impressive building. Our starters of scallops and of fishcakes were delicious. Our mains of gnocchi and pork belly were similarly skilfully done. Service was perfectly balanced between friendly and efficient. A very enjoyable lunch.
