OMG !!! My new favorite restaurant in st Albans.. We stumbled across this on our way home after happy hour at the Ivy.. so glad we popped our head in, to be welcomed by Faten, with the warmest welcome I know this place is new so maybe not be well known yet ..but seriously this Mediterranean restaurant which has Turkish at its heart is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I’ve been in.. this is at the high end ! Very classy.. but very very reasonably priced.. so yes get dressed up if you want.. the food is outstanding! The owner is also the chef and you can feel the care he puts into his dishes along with the presentation, which is beautiful Truly outstanding!! Thank you..
We have tried this restaurant for the first time on Monday and the food and the service were really nice. Because it was Monday it was totally empty so we were literally the only customers over there so it was a little bit awkward but overall we really enjoyed the food and the service! I would recommend the sharing platter for starters!
Yesterday, we returned to Vourla with friends and were delighted to see many families celebrating Mother's Day. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service remained impressive, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had the pleasure of being attended to by Faten, whom we hadn't seen in our last few visits. She still greeted us with warmth and made us feel right at home. This time, we were particularly impressed by the beef cheeks, which were incredibly tender and delicious. The chicken supreme was also soft and juicy, making for a delightful main course. To top off our meal, we enjoyed the wonderful baklava served with ice cream and a refreshing cup of mint tea. It's experiences like these that keep us coming back to Vourla!
We had Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The staff are lovely, very attentive and friendly. My mum was with us in her wheelchair and the whole restaurant is accessible which made life very easy. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

Each dish was crafted with care, featuring fresh and well-balanced flavors. From appetizers to the main course, every bite was a delight. The menu offers a fantastic range of options, ensuring there's something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for traditional flavours or something more unique. Overall, Vourla is a restaurant I can wholeheartedly recommend. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
