We don’t usually like Italian food, but this was really really good. My whole family was impressed, we would deffo return. Very delicious food, my partner said the steak he had was the best steak he’s ever eaten, and that compares to some very expensive steakhouses in London !!

We had dinner tonight with friends, and from start to finish, everything was absolutely flawless. Our server, Zsolt, took excellent care of us and recommended the most delicious seafood pasta I’ve probably ever had—truly unforgettable! The restaurant is small and charming, with a lovely atmosphere. Despite being quite busy for a Sunday night, the service was impressively fast, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Huge thanks to the chef for the incredible meal, and special thanks to Zsolt for his attentive and prompt service. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family, and I can’t wait to come back again soon!

Came here for a dinner with friends and had a lovely time. Food and drinks arrived quickly despite it being rather busy. I ordered a seafood pasta which was lovely and my friends all also enjoyed their food. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend

"A Hidden Gem!" Zaza Restaurant is an absolute must-visit! The atmosphere is clean, stylish, and inviting, making it the perfect setting for any occasion. The food is truly outstanding — not only is it a feast for the eyes, but every dish is bursting with flavor. You can tell the chefs put a lot of care into every plate. From the first bite to the last, everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. Will definitely be back!

We have popped into The Lamb and couple of times recently and found the staff and customers to be really nice and friendly. The thing we are completely blown away by, however, is the VERY competitively priced spirits and cocktails. A proper Negroni and a double Hendricks and Fever Tree only £14.70 in total! I know where we are going for cocktail hour in the future. PS These drinks were on their regular menu - not a happy hour deal.

We booked the Director's room for a gathering and it was great. The table can squeeze in 8 and there is room behind if you have more in your group, watching sports. We all really liked the prestige feel, the beer was great and the service was friendly and attentive. Now I want to go there for the next game as well.

Thank you so much to Simon and his wonderful team and The Lamb for a fantastic evening for my 30th Birthday Party! 40 guests all had brilliant things to say about the space, drinks and overall vibe. We'll be back along with a few others!

Fantastic pub come gastro dining experience. In the summer, the garden is a cute little courtyard but it actually curls up and back around the top of the pub so go a little further if you have trouble finding a seat. A bar / small drinking area can host you for a cocktail, glass of wine or pint. The other half of the pub is reserved for dining and bookings. You are greeted and sat on entry and the menu is a good size but a little on the expensive side. I have to say it’s worth it though as the quality of the food is great. One of the best places to go for grub in Berkhamsted expect quality produce and mixologist style cocktails. The Sunday roasts look immense but yet to try. I think they have now switched to more of a tapas style menu which we are yet to experience but I hope it is as good as before!

Our room was clean and comfortable although cold when we arrived as no heating on. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and breakfast service and food choice was excellent. The hallways and stairs to the rooms could do with some updating and as our room looked over the alleyway it was a bit noisy at night - but it is above a pub so we kind if expected that! And the manager did apologise in the morning. Good central location on a lovely High Street.

Fantastic pub & overnight stay. Staff were awesome & gave us free bubbly for my wifes birthday. Food was lovely & a great choice for dinner & breakfast (the full English was huge) The room was also super comfy & spacious Will definitely be staying again 😀

Good parking Welcoming, traditional pub. Lovely room, spacious, comfortable bed, good quality shower. Nice touch with sloe gin left as a night cap. Good quality breakfast. Excellent value for money. Great location to catch the train to Twickenham for a rugby international

We had a lovely Sunday dinner here with a view of the canal. Our reservation was for two hours so we did not feel rushed. The food, service and weather were perfect. Highly recommend:)

Great Food and Lovely Atmosphere. We had a really enjoyable meal here! The outdoor seating area was comfortable and had a relaxed vibe, making it a great spot for a casual lunch. The food was impressive – the steak was cooked well and came with a delicious peppercorn sauce, crisp salad, and chunky chips. The Indian-inspired dish was also a standout, with rich, flavourful curry, perfectly cooked rice, naan, poppadoms, and a tasty chutney on the side. Drinks were refreshing and complemented the meal nicely. Service was friendly, though a little slow at times – nothing major, but worth noting. Overall, it was a great experience with quality food and a pleasant setting. Just short of perfect, but I’d happily come back.

A great place to have a drink. Especially when the weather is nice just sitting by the canal is so relaxing its good to have a reservation 👌🏻

Nice staff after warming to us great service. Great food if a little on the expensive side. Some good selections of gin. Seating tight but not too bad nice mood lighting, was a little hot but after the AC was sorted out was ok.

First time order via Deliveroo. Don’t normally leave reviews but was blown away by the quality of this. Have tried other Indian restaurants in Berkhamsted and none come close. Looking forward to visiting in person! Keep up the amazing work 🫡

We absolutely love the Giggling Squid! It looks lovely both inside and outside, the staff is very friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. Especially their lunch deals are to die for. Their cocktails and mocktails are great too!

Amazing food. So far, it was one of the best thai I've eaten in England. The restaurant hasn't got a character inside. I prefer the look from the outside. The table mats were a bit sticky and stained. Also, inside the restaurant was a bit cold. The staff was helpful and polite.

Food was delicious. We had a couple dishes which were all nice with our standout being the Salmon one bites. Good service and a nice evening out.

The restaurant has lovely decor. We ordered set royal lunch and prawn pinapple fried rice. They were flavourful and nice. Pandan cake and mago cake were also nice. We waited quite long for our order even though it was still early and quiet. Overall nice food and we enjoyed it, hope the food come out quicker next time

Lovely spot and really nice decor especially the back room with beautiful mural and themed garden room type vibe. Staff were so nice. We event got a complimentary mini croissant each while we were were deciding on our food. Food was yummy and the Jaffa cake desert was unexpectedly good to share!

Decent restaurant on the high street. Nice interior, lots of interesting seating options. We enjoy the breakfast options. Slightly annoying to have a high service charge added to the bill by default. A little bit pricey but very filling and tasty breakfast options.

My husbands Wagyu burger was dry so he found it tough going. No one asked how he'd like it done. We don't like overdone. My goats cheese and beetroot salad was the best I've had in a long time. Even so we really enjoyed it. The waitress was lovely and attentive. I'd go again but would ask them not to overcook the burger.

We visited Secret Garden Prime in Berkhamsted spontaneously and without a booking, not knowing what to expect. When we arrived, the bartender Catalin (not Katerin, as we first thought!) kindly explained that the cocktail lounge was about to close, as it had been a quiet evening. Despite that, he was incredibly polite and offered to check with his manager to see if he could still make drinks for us. Just a few minutes later, we were sitting in the gorgeous garden lounge, cocktails in hand, enjoying the peaceful and stylish surroundings. But the best part was still to come! The manager, Diana, came to speak with us — and her warmth and kindness truly melted our hearts. It felt like we were being welcomed by old friends. Then Catalin returned and introduced us to his girlfriend Sorina, who also greeted us with the same warmth and friendliness. We were absolutely speechless. The atmosphere, the drinks, and above all, the people made this one of the most memorable spontaneous nights out we’ve had. If we could give 12 out of 10 stars, we absolutely would. Highly, highly recommended — we can’t wait to return!

Outstanding Dining Experience at Prime Steak House!!! Prime Steak House delivered an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in the ambiance was elegant yet inviting, perfect for any special occasion. The steak, oh my god!.. perfectly aged, expertly cooked and is easily among the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour! Service was top-notch: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. If you’re looking for a first-class steakhouse with exceptional food and atmosphere, Prime Steak House is a must-visit.

Had a lovely meal, the fillet steaks were delicious and so was the fish and chips. Excellent and quick service even on a busy Saturday night. Thank you for a great meal!

Absolutely loved my day today here, my dinner was amazing the Mother’s Day menu was perfect, a really thought out way to run a busy Mother’s Day in a pub restaurant. Well done Cat 👏👏👏👏

After recent change of hands the pub has a lovely fresh feel, beautiful bar area and garden. Massive bonus for being Dog friendly! Staff are lovely and very welcoming especially the GM (Cat?) I’ve drank here over 4 days and ate twice - both times eating the Salt and pepper squid which are awesome and would be coming here just for them! However, the Fish and chips disappointed. Does not look hand battered at al, batter is much too even and not raised, more like oven ready fish which is a shame, the peas was meh, that said - the flavor was nice albeit I won’t be having it again. Few days later I tried the Shepherds pie, gotta compliment the mashed potato which were amazing on the top, unfortunately the actual meat mixture was very bland. Will try it again soon hopefully it’ll be better! I wanted to really give an honest opinion because it is a genuinely beautiful pub! Either way, I like it here and will Be back! See you soon guys!

We had a very enjoyable lunch at The Old Mill, Berkhamsted. The menu was very good, offering plenty of choice for all tastes. Would definitely recommend and will return myself. We were served by Preston, who was very attentive, very pleasant.
