Ramona has been tutoring my 14 year old daughter in GCSE Maths tuition for over 6 months now and we have been delighted with the results. My daughter has said how supportive and clear Ramona is, always asking if the children have any specific questions or concerns before they begin the class. She also makes sure everyone is clear on the task at hand and is working on a problem. On top of this Ramona has a warm, friendly and supportive nature. We also feel the extra tuition has definitely helped my daughter understand more during her own school Maths lessons and often feels ahead of the game when she has already completed similar exercises. So pleased we found Excellence Tuition, really has made such a difference to our child's confidence. They attempt questions which before they would have hesitated at. The online lessons are practical, the group sizes thought through ensuring each child has individual guidance from Ramona during a lesson. The pace of the lesson is maintained and adjusted to meet the needs of the children participating, to ensure each is making their own progress, whilst working alongside others. As the live session runs, Ramona's tone and dialogue remain positive and she has a good energy in encouraging her students. The length of lesson and timing fits well following a day at school. As a parent, I am able to speak with Ramona at intervals to gain an updates of progress and current focuses being worked on.

My son Sam goes to Ramona and I can’t speak highly enough of our experience so far. After the very first session he said “I have learned more in the last hour than I did all year at school”. Better still, he comes home quite animated about maths which, coming from someone who is not terribly enamoured of the whole education thing, is quite an accolade!

I contacted Ramona after being recommended by a friend as, I was very nervous about passing the numeracy and literacy tests needed to apply for the PGCE teaching qualification. The numeracy test was timed and you were only given around 30 seconds to answer each question, which meant there wasn’t time to think - instead you needed to instantly know the quickest and most effective methods to use. I only visited Ramona on two occasions and, I can honestly say that, that was enough to make all the difference. We went through past paper questions together and she quickly identified shortcuts and new techniques that allowed me to breakdown questions quickly and effectively. Her explanations were very clear and the methods she taught me (which hadn’t been covered in school) were extremely quick, leaving me with spare time during the test to check my answers. Ramona has a way of making Maths seem simple and her methods allow for quicker access to the answer. For the PGCE qualification, at the time if you failed the numeracy test twice, you would have to wait a year before trying again. It is because of Ramona that I passed the test first time and as such, I would highly recommend her.

Always a pleasure with Explore Learning. Just had my parent feedback session. Knowing where my son is on all areas of the curriculum broken down gives me not only assurance that all areas are covering, but also where there are opportunities to focus and further support. My son has 121 online and the tutor has an excellent rapport, to which he responds. He is comfortable asking questions, allowing him to feel safe to learn.

Explore learning have been absolutely wonderful for my boys. One is 12 and had never been to school or done any formal learning before we took him. He had just had a great home Ed life learning as we went. He needed a bit more formal maths & English so when I found explore learning I thought I’d give it a go. My other son is 6 and in year 1. My 12 year old couldn’t sit still and I was worried it would not work. But the staff and set up are fabulous. They encourage and adapt the set up around the child and give them lots of rewards. Seeing my 12 year old enjoying himself after each session my 6 yr old then wanted to start. He’s been going a few weeks now and knows exactly what he supposed to do. Highly recommend explore learning for a child who excels in their learning or a child who lacks confidence or is shy. Great set up.

With regular feedback and tools to access easily to see how my daughters are progressing creates a great sense of trust between parent, child and tuition centre. We have found Khaled to be well planned for the weekly lessons my son takes for GCSE science tuition weekly. This is followed by regular tests and feedback from the tutor.

Excellent! I'm really happy and please with the progress my son has been making. My son has been going since he was in year 8 and is now in year 9. My has been getting achievement points at school on a constant basis and his science teacher has been called home several times to how please he is with my son.
