Love the garden that Tom and Fiona designed. I wanted to go more wildlife friendly, the wildlife pond, container for solitary bees, and Lime Stone Garden are all fantastic additions to our outdoor space. I feel like they’ve created a small nature reserve just outside our back door even though there are plenty of spaces for sitting and entertaining. We have more birds coming in than before, the first Dragonfly appeared in late summer and there was a visit from a very rare Hoverfly. Tom listened carefully to my requirements and checked in regularly until we had the final plan in place. He also visited during the hard landscaping phase to ensure that the garden landscapers were fully informed of what was required. I would thoroughly recommend Elder and Fern.

I can't speak highly enough of Elder and Fern! I asked for some advice and guidance on a plan I'd drawn up for my new garden and was delighted by all the input Tom gave. As a result of his first visit and consultation, I went back to the drawing board and produced a much better plan, informed by his excellent suggestions and ideas. I particularly appreciated how carefully he listened and responded to what I wanted, rather than coming with 'an agenda'. On top of that, he brought numerous new ideas that I wouldn't have considered, as well as being very mindful of how I could create a wildlife-friendly space. It felt like I got 1-2-1 tuition from a real expert in garden design and gardening; my garden will be more beautiful because of it!

Tom and Fiona have been great to work with on our garden design, landscaping and planting. Not only did they manage to bring together the many different ideas we had for the garden, they also recommended many elements that we didn’t even know we needed like a micro-pond! We were really pleased to find garden designers that shared our values, being wildlife friendly and sustainable. They have been great at involving us in the design process and have also been flexible around our budget to deliver the most we could with the funds we had available. We would highly recommended them.

We worked with Tom from Elder and Fern over about 18 months to realise our garden. Tom is incredibly easy to liaise with, communicating quickly and reliably. The design work undertaken took us beyond what we could have imagined ourselves, solving many issues and drawing in elements that we had identified as important to us. The concept, design plans and planting schedule were produced and delivered to a high standard. Tom’s client management is good; we learned to trust his judgement as he supported us through brave choices that we’re now incredibly pleased to have made. Tom’s commitment to an ecological, sustainable approach is welcome, as is his ability to source planting and feature items - always seeking to balance functionality, impact and cost. This was a large and potentially stressful project for us - it was reassuring to have Tom project managing and helping us through the inevitable wobbly moments. We’re delighted with the completed garden, and look forward to it maturing over the years. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tom and Elder and Fern.

Rob and Gordon worked extremely efficiently to remove the old path and steps to my front door, then rebuilt a wall, path/steps. Rob communicated throughout the job which was completed in a couple of days despite a sudden change in weather! They left my property and the surrounding area clean and tidy. I'm very pleased with the work, I've already recommended Alpha Landscapes to a neighbour and wouldn't hesitate in asking them to do further work in the future. A friendly and polite firm with reasonable costs for excellent workmanship. 👌

Jakub and Kris did a fantastic job tidying up our back garden. They knew exactly what to remove, cut back, & weed and what to leave to flower. They worked hard all day, and tidied and removed all waste before finishing. Really responsive to messages and generally lovely to deal with - we couldn't ask for more!

We asked ReGreen to help us with the planters outside Chillingham road school, (where they did a fantastic job) and then to help us with our own garden. Jakub and Kris are both super friendly and helpful, and great to have around. Very prompt communication too. Today they installed various wire trellises (making it look easy), planted up our side return with a variety of lovely perennials, weeded the raised beds, and finally helped me realise my dreams of WISTERIA 💜💜 on the back of the house! Decided to get my whole back garden re-landscaped as the new dog had ruined the lawn. I explained to Scott I needed easy maintenance and would like some decking if it wasn't too expensive. After agreeing some ideas Scott and his team set to work. The results were amazing and well within my budget. The old turf was removed and a membrane placed on top followed by copious amounts of grey stones. A large decking area was erected and he even kindly set up our new gazebo and fastened it using coach bolts to the decking. Finally they painted the decking and even painted the fence all around so as to match. I can honestly say my wife and I could not have been happier with the quality of work. It looks amazing, so much so that we even purchased a hot tub to finish it off. Great job, Great price and a great company to deal with!!!!!

Keenly priced, hardworking and good crack. Whether Martin's halving a 60foot hedge or cutting our grass once a fortnight we're always pleased to see him. Leaves the lawn immaculate with beautiful, straight, stripes and blows any clippings off hard surfaces back onto the lawn. If you could see the narrow drive he gets up and reverses down with his trailer you'd be surprised he's not a wagon driver.

Got a quote for a big job from Tommy (new drive, widen the entrance, 3 new fences, laying paving slabs to make a nice sheltered patio and replacing some dangerous garden steps), George and his mate (sorry can't remember the name) started the next week and grafted non stop to get the job done. From the beginning when I contacted Shaun I was super impressed with his service. He turned up on time for the quotation and he was extremely knowledgeable and professional and didn’t try the hard sell. Quotation was received promptly after visit, it wasn’t cheapest quote that I received and not the dearest but it’s true that you get what you pay for and I couldn’t have been happier. I changed my mind about a couple of things and contacted Shaun and he was happy to further advise and never made me feel that I was being awkward. When the work actually started Shaun and his team worked well ensuring that that I was kept informed of what they were doing and what the next stage would be. I was super impressed with the professionalism. They tidied the site every day and all rubbish was removed promptly on completion of the job. Mark did a fantastic job for us with a major garden redesign after we were left in the lurch by our original contractors. The work involved the laying of a new patio and pathways, putting down a new lawn, fencing and lighting work, and the creation and planting of vegetable and flower beds. It was a major project. The garden that we now have is absolutely beautiful and we are thoroughly delighted by it. All the details of the design have been really well thought through and executed.
