John and his team at Greens Gardening were fantastic from start to finish. Me and my neighbours needed a new fence after a recent storm. John was able to fit us in within a week and completed the whole job in less than a day. The team were incredibly professional and polite. After the job had finished I sent a bank transfer to pay but without realising I paid too much. John then called me to tell me I had paid too much and promptly sent back what I had over paid. The job itself was done to an excellent standard. I can't praise Greens Gardening highly enough.

I contacted John via Trust A Trader and I couldn't be happier with the service provided. John was helpful from the get go. He was very clear with what was needed and the cost was very reasonable. We are able to agree a date for the works quite quickly! On the day his team were friendly, they talked me through what they were doing at each stage, showed me the end finish and made some further changes on request. They safely removed old sleepers and replaced with new without any damage to the surrounding areas. It looks great. I would highly recommend John and his team.

My experience was 5-stars from beginning to end. I was able to contact Dimo on a Friday towards the end of the day and got a quote in less than 30’ minutes. Scheduling was done incredibly quickly. A huge thank you to the Urban Gardeners team for transforming our garden here in Peckham, SE London. The garden was previously in very bad shape (rotten decking, steps, and dying / weed-ridden lawn. The team did an amazing job of clearing everything out (including removal of a tree!) and then building an entirely new and extended hard-wood deck and stairs / landing and also replacing the lawn with the beautiful stripes you can see! Communication throughout from Plamena was great and with the team on the ground they were very good at asking questions and making small adjustments as required throughout the process. I requested a few small changes to the initial quote and this was dealt with in a very friendly and flexible way. The team were very pleasant throughout, got rid of all the mess, and also did the whole thing for a very fair and reasonable price. What a brilliant team Urban Gardeners are! From booking the service, to completing the job, they are complete professionals. The gardeners arrived early and were super efficient in clearing my garden. And the added bonus is they charge a great price. Usually my Dad takes care of the garden, but because of his recent health issues the garden had become really overgrown. I tried to tackle it myself, but I didn’t have the right tools for the job. I started looking for a company to clear the garden, which is when I discovered Urban Gardeners online and contacted them. Correspondence with Plamena was superb: all emails were answered promptly and professionally. Pricing was clearly explained and I was happy to proceed with a mutually agreed date and time. The two gentlemen that came to the house were polite, considerate to our home, and amongst the hardest working people I’ve ever encountered. The weather was really hot on the day they came, but they still grafted despite the heat. They did an excellent job of clearing our garden, and were done within an hour (initially we thought it would take 3hrs). So even with us also paying for removal of the garden waste, it was still cheaper than we expected. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I’ve already recommended them to several of my colleagues and clients. If in the future I can persuade my Dad to pave or turf the garden this is the company I’ll be calling.

Gorgeous! I was looking for things to do around Kings Cross and saw this on the map. With limited service, I couldn’t look up too much about it, and it was such a lovely surprise! Absolutely beautiful spot. Well-paved pathways- a woman in a wheelchair and her caretaker were having what looked like a lovely conversation, so it’s friendly to all varieties of human movement. So sad to see the Hardy Tree has fallen, but it laying on the ground with its plethora of gravestones surrounding it seems symbolic of this beautiful, serene ground.

The ‘gardens’ and ‘graveyard’ are somewhat inseparable. In winter it looks a bit bare, but the seeds of spring are evident. Enter either via the stairs to the church or the semi-steep road into the gardens. Seemingly recently re-tarmaced, there isn’t a clear distinction between road and path (which are wide enough for a vehicle). As it’s black, it seems a bit like walking on a road around trees. However, as you go round the back of the church it becomes much more path-like, winding and you see more headstones. The graves are surprising and leave you with questions: what/who is that odd block under a stone cover with a fence around it? Why are those grave stones so close together by the tree? What about those other ones in the corner that look like dominoes? Take those questions into the church and the displays on the left answer them all! Sadly the big tree growing around the gravestones has fallen over and been surrounded with fencing - presumably as the council figures out how to safely and respectfully remove it and who pays. There are also some funky trees to enjoy - how on earth did they grow like they were spirals? One even seems to be resting an arm on a tomb. It’s worth 20 minutes of walking around and is -I’m sure- a lovely place for lunch in warmer weather. Much of the gardens is grave/tomb free, in case that worries you. Kids are most welcome, even school groups, all easily able to respecting the space.

A lovely park was an unexpected find walking along the busy streets of central London. It has a beautiful Anglo-Catholic Church dating back to the early 4th century and possible was one of Europe’s most ancients sites of Christianity. A calm and peaceful place.

Hidden away in the back streets near Bank station, this little gem is a lovely place to contemplate life, eat lunch or just stop and sit for a wile. The carved seats are parts of the pews from the old church which add a lovely ambiance to the setting.

Lovely little spot, unassuming amongst the big City buildings. Site of the old St Pancras church, this is a loving commemorative area with beautiful wood carvings on benches. Peaceful and elegant.
