I’ve used Collins motors a few times since moving to the area and always really happy with the service they provide. Most of all, I have trust in what they are saying! Will continue to use them!

(Long winded - apologise in advance - i ramble... A lot!) Have been to a fair share of mechanics over the years (I used to just go through my Dad & his mates - but they'd often take me for a mug too!) & often they see me coming! I am female with more knowledge on horses than cars. Granted I have learned a bit over the years & now I know when I am being taken for a mug. Having recently entrusted the car to two mechanics to get repair work done & an MOT only to be mucked about & spending more money. Spoke to Collins motors & he immedietely understood what was wrong with the car. But also understood I had just lost my job also so funds were tight (especially after being ripped off by previous mechanic!). He's tolerated numerous stressy phone calls off me & advised my partner on parts he can fix himself easily to save us money ect. But I am being honest, his labour prices are fair & he gets the jobs done! To the extent my car went in on a Tuesday to get some part changed & have its MOT (finally!) - we made him aware how much money we had left, he stuck to this budget. However my car failed its MOT again on now an ABS problem - to which I said to him re-book the car in, fix it & MOT it again. It was only able to be redone Mon the following week. Which was fine, I just needed to get a running car again as need to start working myself & new job is not local yet! 😱 I get a call this afternoon, Thursday(same week as the Tues - so not expecting car back for at least 4/5days). Telling me my car is fixed & has an MOT. We did make him aware we can't pay till Friday as well prior to all this. And when I said I can't pay till tomorrow, he assured me its fine just pay when I come get the car. Genuinely made my week! So for one, they haven't seen me & rubbed their hands together thinking to make money like most mechanics (and even my own Dad to a degree) have done over the years. And made out the car will cost hundreds to pass an MOT. They have been honest & tried to accomidate. Even happy to answer questions I have about it all. As i am trying to learn & understand cars & mechanics a tiny bit so am not so blind about it all! But it does kind of need to be dummed down a bit for me as you can imagine! Overall good mechanics. They look after your car! Definitely going to these guys from now on. Genuine mechanics are a rare find nowadays 👍

Took my polo here for a cat and track rod ends replacements, staff was friendly on drop-off and let me know of a hole in my exhaust which was also fixed. Apon collection i was advised on tyre rot and a misalignment, and was also recommended where to sort it and advice if a wheel popped. Very professional, Very friendly, happy with the work done

We've been using Melbourn garage for twenty years for a number of different cars. They're always friendly, professional and perhaps most importantly, experienced and competent. I had an issue with the heating fan not working on a 17 year old Mitsubishi L200. The local Mitsubishi dealership charged me £150 to confirm I needed to spend another £900. Melbourn garage sorted it out for an hour's labour!

Have used station garage past few times for MOTs on my car. Today I went in for a radiator change. Mikey is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff as do his colleagues. I’m very picky about where I take my car as I try and do as much stuff as I can myself. But if you want a garage that gives best price around this area and will give an honest reliable service, these are your guys.

Really great garage. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful. Have been using for years and will continue to do so. Were brilliant in helping my wife who had a brake issue, she arrived with no appointment and they helped her and kept her updated throughout!

The staff were great, fitted my car's flat tyre in without an appointment, re-aligned the front tyres and even replaced a headlamp bulb and got new wheel nuts delivered within 30 minutes. They gave me constant updates, and went through everything that needed doing. Great team.

I had some issues with my brake and indicator lights, I phoned midday and was told I could come in that afternoon despite them being busy. Upon arriving, Jamie (Assistant Manager), spoke with me promptly and I didn't have to wait long until he was able to check the lights after he had finished with another customer. He was able to identify the issue and fix it quickly. He was polite and professional, and he was the same on the phone to another customer. I'd highly recommend using this garage, I will again, and if you can speak with Jamie!
