Took my polo here for a cat and track rod ends replacements, staff was friendly on drop-off and let me know of a hole in my exhaust which was also fixed. Apon collection i was advised on tyre rot and a misalignment, and was also recommended where to sort it and advice if a wheel popped. Very professional, Very friendly, happy with the work done

Excellent, friendly and honest service. This is a local gem of garage who have looked after my daly driver (Jaguar XF) and classic car (Triumph Spitfire). I would certainly recommend.

(Long winded - apologise in advance - i ramble... A lot!) Have been to a fair share of mechanics over the years (I used to just go through my Dad & his mates - but they'd often take me for a mug too!) & often they see me coming! I am female with more knowledge on horses than cars. Granted I have learned a bit over the years & now I know when I am being taken for a mug. Having recently entrusted the car to two mechanics to get repair work done & an MOT only to be mucked about & spending more money. Spoke to Collins motors & he immedietely understood what was wrong with the car. But also understood I had just lost my job also so funds were tight (especially after being ripped off by previous mechanic!). He's tolerated numerous stressy phone calls off me & advised my partner on parts he can fix himself easily to save us money ect. But I am being honest, his labour prices are fair & he gets the jobs done! To the extent my car went in on a Tuesday to get some part changed & have its MOT (finally!) - we made him aware how much money we had left, he stuck to this budget. However my car failed its MOT again on now an ABS problem - to which I said to him re-book the car in, fix it & MOT it again. It was only able to be redone Mon the following week. Which was fine, I just needed to get a running car again as need to start working myself & new job is not local yet! 😱 I get a call this afternoon, Thursday(same week as the Tues - so not expecting car back for at least 4/5days). Telling me my car is fixed & has an MOT. We did make him aware we can't pay till Friday as well prior to all this. And when I said I can't pay till tomorrow, he assured me its fine just pay when I come get the car. Genuinely made my week! So for one, they haven't seen me & rubbed their hands together thinking to make money like most mechanics (and even my own Dad to a degree) have done over the years. And made out the car will cost hundreds to pass an MOT. They have been honest & tried to accomidate. Even happy to answer questions I have about it all. As i am trying to learn & understand cars & mechanics a tiny bit so am not so blind about it all! But it does kind of need to be dummed down a bit for me as you can imagine! Overall good mechanics. They look after your car! Definitely going to these guys from now on. Genuine mechanics are a rare find nowadays 👍
