I have never been in a place like this before cafe, bar, live entertainment and vintage shopping. Quirky does not do it justice, but I wish there was one of these on the south coast near to where I live as I would be in it every day. Great service, only had a milkshake but the works. Honestly if you are in Herne Bay give Mustard a try you won't be disappointed

The best Cafe Bar Vintage shop ever!! This place is bursting with art, smiles, amazing coffee, food and wine. Clare and Glen are 2 of the loveliest people I've met. We stayed round the corner from here and couldn't keep away. Such a warm friendly place with loads of laughter, and random trinkets to buy if you want! HIghly recommmend a visit!!

What a lovely bunch of people the crew at Mustard are. My family and friends threw me a surprise bash for my 60th after what has been the crappiest of years. The whole place has such happy and friendly vibes you can't help but feel happy and welcomed. You can hire the whole place for a special event or just the back which is open but under cover and considering the small space they have to work in, Sarah and Clare worked miracles catering for around 20 of us with plenty of room. Thank you so much all of you.

Had a gorgeous full breakfast and coffee at the beginning of the week and as always, the food was delicious and the lovely lady who owns the cafe (and of course her staff) was a pleasure to talk to as usual. Everyone there is very friendly and the cafe itself is cute and cosy. My family and I are gradually becoming regulars. I Definitely recommend this cafe.

It’s more than just a place to eat. Friendly service and good food. All vegan with a great amount of options. I like to sit on their little couch to chill down and read the recipe books they offer.

Stopped off and picked up takeaway latte, coffee and hot chocolate during a walk out today. Also added a salted caramel flatjack to the order. Wow tastes amazing. Highly recommended, great customer service and even managed to pick up some stocking fillers to. Definitely be returning. Thankyou

Absolute gem in Herne Bay, food was delicious and staff very accommodating. Amazing decor and atmosphere with the light music in the background. I had food in and also took a millionaire shortbread away which was also fabulous.

Superb period tea and cake shop, with a great selection of food. Owner and staff were great. Thanks.

This is a real gem of a place and one you should definitely seek out when in Herne Bay. From the friendly service to the beautiful vintage decor and theming The Vintage Empire hits all the right notes. For tea lovers there's a great selection of teas from all over the world and a fabulous collection of cakes and scones for those with a sweet tooth. We had a cream tea apeice which with a warm scone and lashings of cream really hit the spot. Great little finishing touches from the tea cozies, ration cards on the tables and the background music all add to the fun. Nice little back garden which in the summer would be a lovely little sun trap. Dog friendly too!

Lovely antique shop stocked with everything you can imagine. They owner is super friendly and very customer focused. I bought 2 hand painted, made in England antique toy cars £5 each. I didn't use the café as we were coming after our lunch. An other time! The place looked lovely and unique. Dogs are welcome inside.

OMG!! The quality of the produce in this place looked off the scale. I am walking the Kent coast and Herne bay to Whitstable was yesterday's walk. I'd camped out at Walmer the night before and got the train in the morning to Herne to start and was looking for a coffee and bacon sarnie place. Until I saw this and thier amazing pastries😍😍 I love food and love to cook and know quality when I see it. Absolutely huge too. The croissant is like a rugby ball! I had the Pan au Chocolate and I have to say (and I mean this) it was one of, if not the best I've ever had. Their sourdough bread looked amazing but sadly I couldn't carry it, as was walking the whole day. I've come on here really to say to the baker/owner that the quality of your produce is incredible and you have nailed it. The girls working in the morning were really sweet too. For some, it might be a bit expensive but remember this is possibly the highest quality you will get and its more gourmet baking. You are paying for that quality and the size makes up for it. Can't wait to get back to Herne Bay (which I loved by the way) and will make a B line for this place. And I'll be bring back the bread next time! Kudos to the owner/s Update - 28/08/23 I went back this morning. Amazing again and this time I brought bread back to Ealing. Photos attached of this wonderful bakery. Bread is fantastic. I got the small (which is large size at my local bakery here) seeded sourdough and another pastry. 11/10!!

Great staff, would like to see smoothies on their own as a part of the menu as the same smoothies. Very friendly atmosphere, and skilled baristas who are dedicated and are very good at latte art of their coffees

We visited the Herne Bay branch and were looked after by the wonderful Molly. Her coffee knowledge was vast and her passion and enthusiasm knew no bounds. It was a real pleasure to chat and fully understand what we were investing in, and how best to grind and brew it.

So glad my friend and I discovered this place. We were visiting Herne Bay and were looking for somewhere to have breakfast/brunch as I'm gluten free. Read the reviews which were really good and we were not disappointed. Good portions of cooked breakfast, which lasted us most of the day! Would absolutely recommend and will now go every time I visit!

Best lunch ever! I eat regularly at Toast and cannot recommend them enough. I love it when they have Greek stuff on the menu, especially the Rosto. I also love the chilli bowl. The servings are generous and the attention to detail is really impressive for a cafe. Everyone raves about the crispy cheese on their sandwiches for example! Not only is the food great but the staff are really lovely and accommodating.

Very lovely small indie-cafe space with lots of character. Gallery and event space had some very nice comic/satire work when I visited. Ryan and the team, are friendly, welcoming and make an excellent smoothie (and are generous with top-ups) for a sunny day. Nice menu options, and home baked goods I'll need to get back to sample.

Went here with my Nan and Sister. I had a delicious ham and cheese panini (toasted) I couldn't get enough of it, it came with crisps they didn't say the flavour but they were just salted so I was bothered. Nan had an omelette with some salad and pees, she said it was perfectly cooked, nice and fresh. My sister had eggs and ham with some chips, absolutely stunning. We all had dessert, chocolate pudding and ice cream, very tasty. The staff was very lovely and happy to have a chat with my nan. You'd think it was going to be quite expensive from how nice it looks inside but it was very reasonably priced. 10/10 will definitely be asking nan to take us back here lol.

Having just moved to the area, I'm so happy to find this lovely clean and friendly family run café. Firstly the food is freshly cooked and you get plenty. The first visit I had the slimming world's breakfast, I mentioned I had a wheat allergy and was pleasantly surprised they have gluten-free bread. (Most eateries still do not cater for allergies) I found myself there again yesterday and had one of their omelettes, well cooked and stuffed with loads of ingredients. It has a lovely atmosphere, with local art and photography for sale or to just admire whilst you eat. I highly recommend this place 🙂

Not been here before, but I will be back again having had a lovely Chicken roast dinner. Generous portion for a really good price. The breakfast another diner had looked good so I may try that next time. The place was busy, a good sign of good food.
