This is a most excellent spot! Came here for breakfast and wish I would have known it was here sooner during my stay at the NHow. There is a great variety of prices and offerings. I had the “Healthy Breakfast” and it was delicious. The cafe is decorated very cute and the coffee was fantastic as well!

LOVED IT! It’s my first chance to visit London and I wanted to knock out the main dishes - Full English Breakfast, fish and chips, and meat pie. I had some time to check in, so I looked up English Breakfast and this place popped up. It was a small cafe (in America we have big restaurants but I know the style here is smaller and cozier), and I took a seat by the window. I ordered a coffee and toast, and the Full English Breakfast. I was NOT disappointed!! Idk how a lot of other Americans feel about the beans, but I think they great. The sausage was bomb, I love the bacon. Bacon is different in America. In Europe, it’s these wider, rounder pieces of ham. Fried egg on a piece of toast then the roast tomato, thick hash browns and blood sausage.. it was 🤌 I noticed there’s not a lot of seasoning put on English food, but the flavor of the hash browns and blood sausage was great. The whole dish was delicious and somehow I polished it all off. Looking at others plates, it looked like everything they give is generously portioned. Overall, a great welcome to London. I suggest whether you’re a visitor or native, stop by this place to have a great meal!

sabretooth: coffee & chai

285 Hoxton St, Whitmore Estate, London N1 5JX, UK | Cafe
P: 07445 239670

Rating: 5 (35) Price Level:

A hidden gem. The coffee and chai is amazing - especially the chai, which is very authentic. It is brewed daily, and it’s aroma imbues the place with a cozy atmosphere. The smell of fresh coffee and chai perfectly compliments the very relaxed vibe of the place: low-fi jazz and a cheery, personal aesthetic. The owner is thoroughly a character. Cheerful and personable, you can’t help but feel welcomed by his jovial disposition. I’ve been visiting this place for nigh a year; here’s hoping to another!

Sabertooth serves hands down the best chai in London—seriously, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. Each sip is like a warm hug with spices that hit just right. And then there’s Suki, the owner, who’s basically a human ray of sunshine. He greets you like an old friend, always full of positivity, and has this uncanny ability to make your day better. If you’re not there for the chai, you’ll be back just for him. If there’s a “best chai and vibes” award, this place wins, no contest!

Was told this was the best chai in UK and it did not disappoint!! Suki was so welcoming and lovely, greeted and chatted to everyone who came in. The atmosphere and decor was perfect, such a weak curated vibe. Cosy and chill. Will definitely be back to try dinner and cocktails soon.

It's such a lovely cafe that offers a high-quality coffee and unique but comfy vibe in the cafe. I really enjoy the experience whenever I visit the store. Definitely one of my favourite cafes in the UK here. I love it❤️

Their chai is the absolute best, with fresh spices simmered in a big pot for hours to develop that rich, round flavour. And the toasties are super satisfying, delivering a full-on cheesiness that totally hits the spot (spicy tuna is my fave). Good work spot too, playing jazzy instrumental hip-hop most days. The owner isn't your typical service industry smileyface, but really rather lovely once you know him. I reckon the spot should be famous, but promo ain't his thing -- the reviews speak for themselves tho

My new favorite spot in the neighborhood. Such a chill, friendly vibe, plus perfect barista skills (he’s also friendly & cute, which doesn’t hurt). The pastries and food are delicious and fresh. Lastly, the pricing is super reasonable and fair. Can’t recommend this spot enough! Will definitely return when I return to London. 🙏🏻🙌🏼🫶🏻

I accidentally walked into the coffee shop and oh my word, It’s a gem ! The first thing you notice is the yellow walls and then you smell the coffee and hear the banging tunes in the background. Solid 10/10 for vibes ! I was also super intrigued by the coffee brand they used - not many places sell Curious Roo coffee AND I WAS IMPRESSED 2 days of flat whites and I’ll definitely be back for more

Commons at Old Street Works

207 City Rd, London EC1V 1JT, UK | Coffee Shop
P: Not available

Rating: 4.9 (178) Price Level:

Really delicious mango matcha. The balance between mango and matcha was amazing. They are not overshadowed by each other. I particularly like the refreshing taste from mango complemented by the fragrance of matcha. One downside got to be the price, £6.5 is slight expensive. £5 would be a sweet spot. Nonetheless, definitely recommend this place.

Fabulous coffee shop. Warm and welcoming. Plenty of space and power outlets for those that want to work from here. The coffee is delicious and well made. Tried the Coco and ginger latte, which was quite different and very yum. Their pastries are some of the best I have tasted. Their service is fast and friendly.Well worth the visit. Best flat white in the neighborhood and the carrot cake is divine. Have been coming here fairly consistently since they opened and have always been greeted in a friendly manner by staff. Lots of seating options and excellent WiFi for WFH days. Beautiful interior and a fresh weekly flower display that’s absolutely lovely (and picture-perfect, as you can see from my collection of them!). If I could make only one suggestion it would be to bring back serving a date with each cup of coffee - it was such a nice touch :)

This a a small jewel in the area with the best coffee in Shoreditch. Friendly helpful staff and great breakfast / lunch options. How they turnout the food from this tiny space is a miracle. One day they didn't have any jam but offered us fresh sweet raspberries as an alternative. We pushed them into our warm croissant and have never looked back! 😃

This is a great cafe. They have a wide range of brunch and breakfast menus! This is our third time in a week. They are delicious. The star of the menu is the banana bread toast. It tastes great. It looks like French toast with banana bread. Also the yogurt on it is homemade like all their products! They also have great tasting coffee. The owner is very helpful and friendly. You should go to this cafe and definitely try the banana bread toast.

BOBO & WILD - Shoreditch “Brunch and Coffee”

1 Poole St, London N1 5EB, UK | Brunch Restaurant
P: 020 7033 4055

Rating: 4.7 (422) Price Level:

I liked the vibes of this place a lot! I ordered vegan hot cakes, the portion was perfect for my stomach and it was light and delicious. I finished my whole plate Liked the fruits sprinkled around the hotcakes The only minus is the yogurt. It needs to be replaced by another “liquid” element, maybe Any other light sauce that compliments the dish? Or just whipped yogurt? I am thinking to visit them tomorrow to try their other hot cake dish. The atmosphere is really relaxing with the garden overlooking the cafe. One comment that many people may not notice is the cutlery set, it was sharp enough to slice and pick up food. The coffee cup size was perfect too. The service was a bit slow. // This is a review of my second visit, the next day after my first visit I ordered Ricotta hotcakes. I didn’t enjoy it much. Too many flavors and the powedered sugar killed the taste layers I felt the pistachio was lost and berries + banana confused the flavor. The hotcakes tasted more like crepes. I wished if there was no powdered sugar. The texture of the hotcakes needs improvement as well 🫶🏻

This place has been on my list of favourites for a long time now and I am amazed to see how they managed to keep up with the high demand. Even on stressful days the lovely staff find a second for a warm hearted chat and maintain their quality. I became a regular simply because of the great coffee but just realized how much more there is! - Great place to work, they have a nice upstairs area for people with laptops or a sunny terrace outside. - A huge variety of brunch dishes (Chorizo Eggs are my absolute go to!) - The dynamic between the staff members is gorgeous Overall great place for brunch, coffee and work! Recommend having a go!

An attractive place for a snack, coffee & a light bite to eat. I visited the cafe a number of times before, drawn to it by its layered honey cake & welcome to pets. This time we went as a group with some twenty people. We were seated in a nice back room with big windows & ample space. Service was a little slow & chaotic given we were such a big crowd. When food finally arrived, everyone seemed to be happy & there was not a crumb left in sight. With my own order of Benedict eggs with halloumi, I found the portion plenty big enough. A friend who ordered the 12 hours lamb dish remarked it was enough for two.
