Absolutely beautiful afternoon tea. More choice than any other I’ve been too and so fresh. Soup was delicious as were the warm sausage rolls and of course scones. Only a couple of criticisms: tea and coffee is not unlimited. You get one at the start which you’ve more or less finished when the food comes out. I’ve never been for an afternoon tea locally where it’s not. Let’s face it we’re talking a tea-bag and a little extra milk and I don’t think people will abuse this and drink cups and cups of it! Also the teacup handle is ridiculously small. My daughter and I struggled to hold the tea cup because of this 😊 saying that we will certainly return 😋
Stumbler across this gorgeous coffee shop after a visit to the aeropark. Staff were so kind and friendly. We had blueberry scones and hot drinks and the price was really good for the quality. Attached to the cafe there is a lovely gift shop too and the lady in there is so friendly - sourcing items from all over the world, well worth a visit.
Been here twice now and it’s so lovely, a little gem. Gorgeous little set up, decor is rustic and tasteful, lots of quirky bits and bobs around. Food is absolutely delicious, the best sausage roll we’ve ever had, quality is superb. Cakes are moist and lovely range of teas and drinks. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Very busy when we went, service took longer than you’d expect normally but happy to sit and relax whilst we waited. Would recommend!
We booked for afternoon tea for four of us a while ago. We arrived today to be told that our booking hadn't been recorded (a deposit had been paid so it definitely was). The ladies handled the situation so well that we were not upset in the slightest. They were able to seat us and bring drinks whilst they prepared the food and we actually enjoyed the time to catch up and have a chat (a group of neighbours from Newbold until 3 of us left the village at a similar time a year ago). The food that arrived was so worth waiting for. I have had so many afternoon teas in the past that have been disappointing but this ticked every box. At such short notice, we had exquisite sandwiches, individual prawn cocktails, quiche, sausage rolls, delicious cheeses and beautiful home made cakes. As we were late starting to eat they never rushed us and let us stay long past closing time. We've agreed that this will be a quarterly get together for the four of us and I am already really looking forward to next time!
